Uncle Buck is my all time favorite, but Home Alone & Macaulay are amazing! Love how he makes young people be there own heroes!

He invented a new kind of comedy with this, the villains who get beat up through wild slapstick scenes. Actually, Ed Rooney was the early seed of it in Ferris Bueller, when he tries to break into Ferris' house. But then Hughes took this idea and ran it into the ground for the next decade. It's unfortunate he never got back to doing more meaningful films like his teen films.
