If you guys could start dropping step by step install videos I think that would be huge for the e ride community. I feel like most e ride users are brand new to the space. Otherwise great video! Sick build
I think most of the 2 seconds saved is due to the rider just getting his time down, on the last lap he was cutting corners much more and not spending so much time in the air on the jumps. I'd rather see a straight line speed run to see if the Controller is a worthwhile upgrade to my Pro SS
The inside lines on the corners were only doable because of the amount of torque that was produced from the controller. He was unable to hit those lines effectively on stock power. Gearing is was effects too speed so with the controller added on top speed isn’t very changed, however getting to that top speed happens unbelievably quicker
Great video but i would also want to see some 0-top speed runs on a street vs stock controller so we can actually compare in a more easy way. For 1500 (here) i wanna see a big change in power and its hard to tell right now. Thxxxxxxxx
Question; are you guys building upgraded bikes like this to sell directly to a customer? If so, how much would this bike cost such a customer, already built. Very interested…
You have concluded by “saying there’s really not much more we could do to this bike”. Yet I am left wondering, isn’t the belt drive still a total weak point, especially with all this upgraded power, etc.? Are you not eliminating or replacing those belts?
Hey buddy I really enjoyed watching this video I don’t own a Sur-Ron or a SS Pro E Ride and never rode one but I sure would love to try one out to see how much fun it would be. I know I would have a blast on one maybe in the future I will look into getting one. The parts you picked out for this build are so nice and look amazing plus seeing the different in performance really show that it’s faster with the aftermarket parts. Thanks for the video great job on it. Ride safe buddy and enjoy.
Great job! Super impressive, balanced build. With relatively inexpensive mods, turns the E-Ride into a very compelling bike. And it looks great to boot! Great work CCW and EBMX! ⚡
Nice job! If you’re into it like you guys are.. all those upgrades are totally worth it! Wish I had places like that to ride. There’d be one in my garage right now waiting for those upgrades. Bout to buy one just cause they’re badass for what they are
A lot of ebike riders don't know how much better suspension can make your every day ride. Just having it set up for the right weight of rider and style of riding greatly reduces fatigue, you won't be bottoming out on jumps and general rocks and ruts wont be ratting your teeth and the whole thing rides like butter. Some of the first ebike forks were just simple springs and snazzy looks. so many Surrons and clones now mean there's a huge suspension market thats growing every year.
Another great video. Did you get a chance to put the bike on a scale before and after? A video of the upgraded suspension would be sweet. The new OEM setup is good but kinda harsh. Cheers
I'm 80% Street 20% Dirt rider...what's the new top speed in Eco & Sport at 15kw? Also, how much faster does the battery drain at 15kw? Is it noticeable?
I absolutely love this build ! This is like my dream build but I’d like to have it in purple with the EXT suspension. I’m curious to know the weight difference between the front forks and rear shock compared to the EXT front and rear set up ?
What was lap time for stock e ride pro ss? Interested in comparison between stock and “essential” upgrade?

I'm totally down for some comfort items or "essential upgrades" i.e. tires, sprocket, bars. But you're telling me 4k if I want to save 2 seconds off my track time? 😂😂😂 I bet the majority of people buying this chit are Flatlanders. Hopefully that extra 2 seconds gets them to Starbucks faster!
The track times were just a way to compare components head to head. Suspension and wheels are an incredible upgrade. The bike is already plenty fast but it was very impressive to drop another second off of the time with more power
It’s bout a thousand and some change and it doesn’t increase mph by much by accelerating is faster for a faster top end I think you would need to start changing sprocket sizes like the amount of teeth they have
I’m pretty sure you’d want to go smaller but your gonna lose some torque and if you wanted more torque more teeth but your gonna lose some of that top end hope this helps
Could you guys please give me an idea of what the controller will do to the range on the eride pross with this upgrade? It doesn't have to be exact and I know it depends on how u ride it but just a ballpark estimate for someone who just enjoys riding on and off road but nothing crazy like big jumps. Thanks guys!!
@@ayocxrry-2435 Forks leaking, the pulley ring guide coming apart, clearance issues where the swingarm meets the frame and it begins to rub metal on metal. Mine has been good so far because it came with an updated pulley, my forks have not started leaking like a lot of others have also and I hope it doesn't start to. Mine does have a clearance issue on the left side where the swingarm bolts into the frame though. I am still waiting to hear back from Gritshift to see what can be done about it. The good thing is Eride is covering most things under the warranty. The seat really sucks for longer rides as well so I hope there are a few companies that will sell some softer seats for it in the future. Other than the clearance issue with mine it's been pretty solid but it still has very low miles. It's still a badass bike for the price.
How many teeth are you running on that sprocket for the 16 rear wheel? im about replace the 19-inch rear and 55 sprocket with that set up? I hope that the 60 tooth is no too low in gearing? Thank you!
the surron's losing to e-ride pro out of the box. it's said to have the best aftermarket, which is the only thing surron has over eride pro and talaria. after seeing all of these upgrades, surron might have to step down. amazing showcase video!
No, the stock stem should work. The E-Ride comes with a nice 2" rise handlebar already, we definitely would suggest keeping those bars and doing a direct mount stem instead if you were picking one or the other, but you won't be disappointed by those bars!
I’ve already seen lots of people complain about the battery connect getting stuck and not able to pull out after hard rides or top speed rides so how did it do with the added 3kw? would it not just fry the connection together even faster then it does already. super stoked tho just got my pro ss and have gotten to ride due to having acl and meniscus surgery so on crutches for 4 weeks but can’t wait to ride
@@ChargedCycleWorks and it really stops it with the 3 extra kw i have already put some on my bike and i haven’t even gotten to ride lmao i think it’s just a good option even if they don’t get stuck it makes putting it in and taking it out much easier
So I’m a heavy guy.. all these bikes have horrible weight limits… which would be the best to buy and upgrade the suspension? Or would it just be better to go real dirtbike/motorcycle?
I have a stock Sur Ron but just moved to San Antonio. There is absolutely no off road places to ride here. I am so disappointed cuz I am not a pavement princess so am thinking of selling the Sur Ron
That's a bummer to hear, we aren't pavement riders either unless it comes to street bike racing. Surrons are so fun off-road, but if you aren't able to ride it anywhere that's no fun and we completely understand your decision
7:11 in this video you get a 47:16 lap time with “essential” upgrades. But on same bike and same course you get 46:03 lap time. Video: “The Ultimate Electric Dirt Bike Track” Time stamp is 8:12. I’d put a link but it deletes my comment when I put the link to the YT video. Weird.

Being a moto guy I don't like this kind of style of seat /tank setup. I like to get up on the front end in corners and this style sets you back too far. Plus it looks goofy to me. Imo.

I agree! How to videos are a huge help and help make the decision of buying the upgrade or not for a lot of ppl
Agreed!
most videos on surron x are directly applicable to the eride pro
Yes this
I just bought a e bike yesterday you are not wrong I second that
That’s a badass bike. Love the colors. Just the right amount of gold, not too much.
Beautiful build - looks downright amazing!

We appreciate the sub!!
Love it. Hurry up and ship my ebmx controller i bought. Lol. I don't know if you seen my bike setup. Just like this one. Its sick.

15 kw on a stock battery is incredible!
How does the smaller rear wheel affect your riding?
can you replaqce the front wheel with another rear wheel including another motor, speed controller and battery? hook it up to a single accelerator.
I want one with all these upgrades do you sell them that way ??
Siiick! What's the top speed with the new controller?
What does the 16/19 combo do to ride height?
Can it ride in the city European winter with proper wheels???
What's the top speed after controller upgrade?
Fuck that Black and gold looks amazing
Whats good tire set up if im 50/50 street/trail rider?
About how much does the battery life get cut installing this upgrade?
can someone tell me the length tire to tire tip
