Her sharing how she got over her fear of the tarantulas is absolutely the sweetest thing.
I just got that part and laughed so hard, she straight up turned the game off, then eventually got over it! How awesome is that?! Strong mom 🌤🤗
I actually think it’s really cool to be afraid of something in a video game like that. I’m not afraid playing games anymore, I’ve played them enough that I am desensitized. Miss the times when it felt like I was IN the game.
I wish I could get over it. The tarantulas and scorpions stress me OUT in this game 😭

It’s been gaining traction recently 👀 she’s popping off. She’s been asking about the other AC games so I may have to get her set up with New Leaf!
You gotta get her new leaf!!! It’s so great. Even tho there’s no item placing outside, she’ll probably still have a lot of fun completing the museum, decorating the houses, and decorating with public work projects. She may also like Happy Home Designer/Happy Home Paradise.

Hey there, my son put me onto ACNH in 2021 and I've been obsessed with it to. I've passed his hours of playing which we find hilarious. I've finished every task for Nook miles, completed the museum and have every recipe and I'm definitely sad that all my tasks are done. Love your island :)

You definitely need to buy her a switch lite to start a new island or if she gets bored with her current island she could also save her current island in a dream and restart a new island. She could still visit her old one but only as a dream and start her journey all over again!

If she's looking for more to do, there's a DLC for the game that allows you to decorate vacation homes for other villagers and when you hit a certain number, you access the ability to renovate your villager's houses as well. It's called Happy Paradise Planning. Love the joy she gets from ACNH!

I always felt the need to keep up with all the amazing and “aesthetic” islands, which I think ruined it for me and just took the joy out of it. Her island makes me want to try again and just enjoy it.
This is what happens when you find a great single player game. You’ll find people that have fun and no stress while playing. Online gaming takes the casual out of gaming.

Dude, my mom has been playing the same Sims 2 save file since the game launched like 20 years ago or whatever. When I scroll through her family tree the computer almost short circuits itself and it takes like fucking 30+ minutes to go from top to bottom. Its gotten to the point where she plays the entire neighborhood, but she only prioritizes them having lived "good lives" etc. Its so fucking wholesome my heart cant take it.

Kinda wish she had her own channel to stream on lol! I loved listening to her explain the reasoning behind everything, and her voice is so soft and smooth! It’s almost therapeutic how wholesome this is :) It’d be cool to see her jump into other games where she could show off her creativity, like The Sims or Minecraft Creative mode!
Maybe one day! I've tried to see if she'd be interested in other AC-esque games but she's very particular, I wouldn't rule it out though
Your mom is very insightful yet entertaining when narrating her island tour. She’s no nonsense when it comes to the villagers. I also call them characters and my daughter laughs at me. (I’m only 33)

I had been laid off, at my parent's house in Kansas. I had no friends. I was two states away from my now fiance because he still had to work. Being able to get on a game where everybody was so happy to see you really saved me during 2020. ❤️❤️❤️ I still play just about everyday too!

I would love to see her have a animal crossing channel, were she would post anything from a 8 minute long video to an hour long video, and i would watch it, her voice is calming
incredible! i had no idea about those spots in the museum! i never ended up filling it but i did get 1000% obsessed with flower breeding and bred all the flowers. the green mum was really tricky, i looked up a guide for sure.
I love this so much, I have about 1700 hours in the game now and if she would allow it, I would be happy to bring her some green mums. My love for animal crossing started with the GameCube one, and I'm very eager for the next one. I re do my island often..my dream address is still my Halloween island. I am currently working on marking it spring.

There's something special about older people who play videogames. They put a lot more care and charm into these types of games. I know when I was playing Animal Crossing it was all about collecting this and that, getting this, building that to the point it felt robotic but this is the way everyone should be playing the game.

I never played the game but you can tell she went over every minutie of the house and village. Understandable that she's so worried about getting all the things.
This made me so nostalgic i miss my old save on city folk me and my mom would play on it when i was young... It's so funny going from being angry that she'd buy all the items in nook's shop or in the city, to actually missing the time we shared with eachother. So many memories. ♥

Ten times the amount of dedication I have, I love animal crossing but I'm a weird person, if the game has a storyline and objective I can clear it but when it asks me to be creative and make my own objectives I become really lazy since there isn't anything major being held off if I don't do it, props to her and her island is very nice

Tell your mom to check out Disney dreamlight! She’ll like it even more probably. I’m super impatient and HATED animal crossing 😂 but Disney dreamlight is the same exact game just with a larger better map, plus you can move everything around immediately without paying including the freaking trees!
