I recommend the Far North. 90 mile beach, Cape Reinga (the top of NZ). Camping at Spirits Bay. Bay of Islands in a boat. Northland has an energy of its own. You will love it.
@@heisenbird5719I lived in Auckland never going back I have 4wd around and inland the South Island many times and the amount of Aucklanders I have meet down there and never going back there were heaps
I lived in Brisbane for 20 years now living in auckland and very disappointed in the almost 3rd world city, returning to Brisbane super city in a few months can't wait.
I sympathise with the heights. My first tower experience was in Vancouver and I did not realise the lift was a glass box basically. Spent the journey up facing the wall. Great views at the top, nevertheless.
I think the reason people make the association is because both kava and alcohol are a depressant that you drink. That said, after trying it I don't feel like it's like alcohol at all, it reminded me much more of a very relaxing tea.
Hey guys, I just found your channel and love your videos! I am housesitting with my partner in Northland for another month and if you wanna check that area out you can totally stay with us! We have three empty bedrooms right now and the weather is stunning ☀️
@9:04 I imagine that Taipei 101 isn't listed there because it was opened in December 2004, while the Sky Tower was completed in 1997, so Taipei 101 didn't exist at the time that display was put there.
Hey, sick vid guys. Always love seeing my city through other peoples eyes. Just letting you know (because I'm a stickler for details) that all your b roll footage of the cityscape was from like 5 years ago at least so missing about 6 high rises. So not really how the city looks today 😉
If your back at the mount a cool place to check out is the Quary out te puna my kids and I love going there lots of art to look at while exploring the gardens
Auckland reminds me of Toronto with that sky tower and the city skyline.. if only we had palm trees and warm weather! Never been to Victoria/BC in general ❤
Auckland definitely isn't like Victoria BC, it's WAY bigger and much more city like and sprawling Victoria was nice, but I thought really small, more like a little town. I mean beautiful sure, but more not like Auckland at all. I always wish I had made it out to Toronto!! I spent 9.5 years in Vancouver and just never made it East, was literally all packed up and about to go East and chickened out!
The frida burger is sooo good! Im glad you tried that one. I love Four Shells, i go there often as a bar alternative since i don't drink. Such a warm welcoming environment.
Hey guys, fellow vegan here who just moved from Auckland to Canada! If you go back to Auckland but you should go to the vegan market ‘The Shed Collective’ it’s on every Saturday morning. Lophie has the best bakery food! 🤤 and the West Coast beaches aren’t too far from there ❤🌊
hahahaha I love you described Takapuna as cute... I think the locals would like to think of it as highly sophisticated 🤣 it costs millions to live there ( I reckon I can say that seeing I lived there when I was a kid, before it cost millions). and don't be offended, July in Auckland is going to be rainy.... I can't believe you were recommended to go to Otara flea market!!

That’s a beautiful place. My Kiwi wife and I got engaged over there at the lighthouse.
Waiheke Island is a nice day out too,bit expensive there, but wicked good views.
Auckland just gets better and better and is so underrated, especially from those in the South Island. Love the waterfront area and beaches all around.
What Auckland do you live in? LOL

Sand fly and mozzie repellant is a must during summer.
Kava has the opposite effect to alcohol, in that it makes the drinker relaxed, calm, peaceful, & quiet. Said to taste like dilute mud apparently.

Looks lovely! You 2 are so pleasant to watch.. Nick seems really happy in this vid.. btw Kava is illegal in UK due to its liver poisoning quality..

Do the islands in the harbour, even hike Rangitoto. Auckland is VERY volcanic. Welcome to the North :)
Always recommend the Emerald it is in such a great location.
It really is!
Contrary to the Otara Flea market, they don't sell fleas there.
lol
Love Nick's nightie, when is he modeling it. 😅
Hahahaha very beautiful on him
Will you be checking out Great Barrier Island while you’re in the North Island?
Otara Markets are legendary!

So many cities have that kind of tall tower with a needle on the top.

I was referring to Takapuna when I said it was like Victoria :) I still think Takapuna is much like Victoria.
There aren't enough ads in this one for my taste

Morning guys..have you visited Rotorua yet?

Our weather is schitzo it can rain, sunshine then repeats all in one day. The saying is if you don't like the weather just wait til you do.😅
Top things to do in Auckland;
- Auckland war memorial museum
- Art gallery
- Mt. Victoria
- North Head
❤
wow that drink is interesting 🤠🤔 the mouth numbness lol

Hahaha in all fairness, I meant cute as in lovely, or nice :)
Bethells Beach
👊🏿🙏🏿
Hype? For Auckland? Maybe from the Aucklanders 😂
"Nz has a population of 5 million amd they all seem to be here"
I mean auckland has more people than the south island, so ur basically right
Haha yep
At least you don't measure things in bananas like that country south of Canada
Hahaha “football fields”
Its cheaper to buy in bop a car than Auckland
Surcharges are their way of ripping you off.
lol if you pay cash there’s no surcharge
@@nickandraychel So you dont have paywave/CC charges overseas?
Best thing to do is turn around and go back.
WHAT NO
we are really enjoying the North Island!
They're in Auckland, not Hamilton. OH! 🙊🤣😂
That’s just rude
I see what your doing the old reverse psychology trick.
The 3rd most boring city in the southern hemisphere.
It's a dump
😂😂😂
I don't understand why people like visiting nz
The streets of auckland city and some suburbs are unsafe especially at nite.
