- In this video i want to show how to prevent flaking on fake leather.
It is sad to see the pleather on 1/6 scale figure flaking over time.
It works for some small cracks too and stop it from spreading.
Paint that i am using is Angelus with satin finish. There are several finishing color you could choose from matt to gloss
it works best if apply before the pleather starts to crack.
for cracked pleather, this can help stop the cracks to spread.
if yours is already flaking, it can help stop further flaking.
but this technique will not restore cracks, flakes, or damage pleather.
it is only to prevents.

The Satin finish dried SUPER GLOSSY on my Hot Toys Nick Fury Avengers zip up sweater, shoulder areas. Looks like patent leather now. Wish I had tried the matte finish instead. :(
You can add another coat of matte finish

I wish I would of saw this before buying mod podge. Though some one I'm my barbie group suggest, besides Google. I'm trying to fix Wesker's outfit. The midnight version. I'm hoping to save the pattern and not jabe ot all black. I haven't started yet. Where I love ,it's currently really hot, which isn't helping. Though if anyone has used Mod Podge, did work?

I just bought a mezco judge Dredd that was 8 years old in the box never open. However upon inspection I noticed some black stuff peeling from the suit. Please let me know if I can do anything differently or should I try your technique? Thank you

it depends on the fake leather.
it must have pores for the conditioner to work.

Daeyoon Huh leather treating is never permanent, needs to be conditioned and moisturized like us
how permanent it is, depends on you application of the top coat and amount of layer.
you could check other similar video that apply the same paint on 1:1 leather jacket.

So far i havent get any solution for further damage suit. The only way at this moment is remake the whole suit with real leather, that's what i did for some customers.

I can't really say for sure. Never try on handphone pleather

i have no idea. as far as i know, those conditioner doesnt do much for figure pleather

You need to make sure your base paint is also laquer before the coat spray
@@wangdennys no i dont have to paint.. i just use clear transparent spray as a protective layer on a new pu leather bag so it dont peel or crack early or protect from ink stain,dust..can i use?

Use the same paint in my video. It is specially for leather. And can protect from dirt, etc
