Nobody will ever replace Charlie Dog, but Rudy looks like he's going to be a great dog. Maybe as good in a different way. Fearless little guy isn't he?
I am 62 years old and I skinned my first dear I never skinned one be for but I watch your video and I just did it I was so proud of my self thank you for making your video's...
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Franklin Peter I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
jessepitt funny today, I was explaining to some one about Andrew and how that was the very first video I ever saw of him, taking out that wolf him and saying that will be the last thing it does..
Lynx meat is so very yummy! Cut it into thin medallions. Cover in flour then eggs then shake and bake south western. Quick fry in less than 3 mins total. It’s super tender that way. If any meat is tough, coat it both sides in salt for 30-60 mins. Rinse then cook.
Rudy ran right up to the Lynx with you when you went to go get him, that's a good sign. He's not going to be a scaredy-cat when he gets a bit older. He's gonna be a good trapping dog for sure.
Lynx meat Looks good. Suggestion 1/ boil the meat strips in water for a few minutes first to reduce the game taste. Drain and discard the water then wrap the meat strips in bacon then pan fried. No salt is needed but a bit of pepper. Drain the grease add onion and cooked potatoes cubes and pour a can of white mushroom soup with a bit of water on the pan with the bacon wrap Lynx meat until the soup is thickened. Serve with spaghetti. Don’t add too much water, thick sauce is great. You will for sure be fat like me! 😊take care and be safe! Cheers from Saskatoon
"So me and Rudy are gonna fuckin' eat him!" I laughed out loud! That was awesome that he alerted you you and wasn't afraid. Good dog Rudy!! Gonna be fun watching Rudy grow up :) Thanks for sharing Andrew! I will try anything once. I like most everything as long as it's not all dried out from cooking it. I bet that cat would be great in some stew and slow cooked.
Another great video. I have eaten lynx a few times but not in the last 30 years. Used to do it in my cast iron dutch oven and let it simmer all day like a stew with veggies, it was good, but definitely has a taste of its own. I prefer beaver.. If you can get a hold of some salt pork fat, that's the best for frying anything. Anyways, it's great to see you posting again Andrew. Take care be safe..
Looks good. I like taking wild game and searing it in butter. Then while I let it rest I get a gravey going. Once the gravey is about done I dump the seared meat and all the juices into the gravey. Usually try to cook it medium rare to rare. I bet that cat would be good cooked with a gravey. Probably would cook it all the way through.
Eaten mountain lion and bobcat, no lynx. Enjoyed both and would have to say they were both pork like in flavor. Very lean and need to slow cook if you want it tender! Glad to see your video Andrew. Stay healthy!
Don't you have any bushes that grow Juniper berries where your at ? If you collect the bush ripened berries they are darker in color. They flavor the meat beautifully with some salt & pepper , it's a very tasty thing. I also think that if you had of added some water or a can of beer to your meat after it had browned & let it simmer back to dry. It would have tenderized it more so and made a little gravy !! Love your new Puppy , beautiful dog !
I ate lynx for the first time this year, barbecue, made for a great sandwich. The way you cook the lynx is the way I cook grouse, moose, rabbit, deer, etc. I cut the meat up into bite size pieces, season the meat and then use a small amount of olive oil to fry it up. Ranch style beans are excellent with them all. You should try that.
I had a coyote following me and my 4 month old Golden retriever a few years ago. I fully understand how you felt. It really gives you a chill. I can understand you being really rattled after something like that. Keep your puppy safe. He's a great looking pup.
Your a good dad by heart, good on you, and Rudy is a great looking dog, many happy adventures ahead for the two of you, sure I would eat cat, good tip on a trapped one. Cheers from E-Town
My dog and I ate lynx once. I enjoyed watching her eat a cat more than I enjoyed it. A proud moment. Lynx liver is really good too. Try it, it's a nice treat!
Had lynx here is Alberta about 4 weeks ago, taste good, like cougar a little more. Cougar meat we ground into burger and made cougar barley soup, real good, with vegetables etc.still 3 feet snow 2hours west of Edmonton, hard 3" crust on top, deer are gonna take a lickin this spring but moose and elk doing well.
Been eating Lynx & Bobcat for 48 yrs & love it ! My taste buds tell me it tastes more like venison & the texture is similar to chicken. Whatever it is , It tastes great to me !
Fuck yeah. Just when I thought you were done with the good old catch and cook videos with lots of funny-as-hell swearing, you upload this gold mine. Great video Andrew. Crazy story, and just the type of badass bush video I've been craving to see from you. Thanks for making this, and hell yeah I'd try lynx meat any day. Never dog meat out of respect for mans best friend, but cats are true selfish assholes down to the bone so that's a big yes from me.
Needed this. Thanks Andrew and Rudy! Oh, lots of good cooking suggestions here. A simple thing with tougher meat is to pound the medallions out flat before frying. We're going that-a-way!
I can’t imagine lynx would be to much different than bobcat. I’ve eaten several bobcats and it’s always been delicious. I like to cut it down in little cubes and mix it in chili or a stew. It’s got its own flavor but it when mixed for the meat of chili or stew it’s great. Cats by nature eat liver a lot so yea they do have that iron flavor to em but I like it.
love the catch and cook videos and I would like to try lynx and beaver. unfortunately we don't have lynx down here in the south. Rudy looks like he is shaping up to be a good dog.
The Wild Outdoors always gives us great real life tells to experience. The outdoors is the original super market and is where I love to shop. Here is tell for you. I went to Oklahoma 4 -19 March to visit my mom on her 90th birthday, the 14th, when I got back I found that someone had poached a moose in yard along a creek that is 30 yards from my front door. They didn't even leave me a back strap. Thanks for the video.
I’ve eaten lots of Cougar. Very similar white meat. Found if you soak it in salt water for an hour then in milk for 30 minutes it’s super tender and awesome. I usually grill mine up. Looks pretty dam good though gonna have to try some Lynx/Bobcat down here.
"I was gunna club the fucker wit the 22" LOL awesome proper thing tho man coming in the daylight lunging at the dog is a brave cat he woulda been back forsure
I've never eaten lynx but would imagine it is very similar to bobcat. Bobcat is really good and since I don't use snares we save all the meat. I really enjoy your videos so keep them coming.
KIcking myself, just shot one out of my wolf trap the other day, he had only been in there for a few minutes as I had just been by the empty trap before turning around and coming back by it. He would have been perfect to eat....... but then again... I hate liver LOL. Be careful with Rudy, he might start to think his name is Sh!thead.
NICE JOB MAN GREAT ATTITUDE ! boy them cats are good to eat ARNT thay, I eat BOB cat more then lynx that is a nice cat 👍to ya. Par boil tell tender then bred with corn flakes then DEEP FRY, REALLY GOOD.
Hey Andrew I am Andrew aswell, beautiful dog only right to make sure the area is safe n sound for him. One bit of advice for you is to put the food in the palm of your hand with fingers together instead of spread and cup your hand and feel it to him from the palm, it will teach him in no time not to nip while grabbing for the food, he will begin to break up the action to think and use his vision more. All the best up thr I found u from your wolf attack video as my blue nose pit brought a pack of coyote's back to me and the girlfriend down here in southern Ontario 2 weeks ago yippin and biting I think my boy must have clapped one good the way they wer carrying on as he had two bites on him, one deep at the base of his tail and one on the side of his rib cage aswell, hes a warrior and very sheer in strength out everyday for great exercise and wasn't scared one bit came to my knee whipped around n stood ground with me, while i clipped him on leash I had the girlfriend grabbed me a large stick then I just stood some solid ground to push them away n moved the opposite direction out of the forest the first chance we got a little space. I now travel the same place a few times a week with leather gloves a buck knife and a hefty walking stick i've sharpened to a spear on one end, thinking of welding up a nice end to put on it for future walks aswell just incase, they bite into that n should learn to buzz off, if not they can meet the other part of it. Anyway I felt to share that, take care, all the best and GODBLESS!
I would definitely eat lynx. My favorite is beaver, but i've eaten raccoon, beaver , muskrat, deer, bear, caribou, elk, rabbit, squirrel, grouse, pheasant, quail, dove, all species of ducks and geese, as well as wild turkey, crow, and every type of fish I can catch.
hell yeah i would try lynx. those nuggets looked good. it seems like alligator... you get some chewy and gamey peices, then some others would be softer and not as much game taste. maybe its the fat. i love adding to my repertoire of animals consumed. not gonna try bats though. heard they give you a high fever and dry cough.
Awesome video Andrew. Rudy sure is a cute dog. That Lynx looked delicious. I would love to try it with. Sweet peppers onion garlic salt pepper then use honey garlic sauce to pour over it on a nice bed of wild rice. I'm salivating here just thinking about it lol
I would definitely try it. I also watched and order video of you and your dad at Bever camp where you showed the best part of them to eat would like to try that some day as well. Love your videos andrew stay safe up there.
Nice, woulddnt mind trying it someday. Which would you prefere lynx or coyote? As for recipes id definately do a simple stirfry with fresh veg. Nothing should take away from the meat taste. I like my meat as its intended gamey. How did the grouse n pork taste after? I think they would have been tasty after absorbing eachothers flavours in the pot. Hmmm, maybe try a grouse n lynx stew sometime, would make the meat very tender.
I've cooked the backstraps from Bobcats, Lynx and cougar. Cooked them like venison cut thin rolled in flour cooked in hot grase quickly. They are all white meat fine grain, I didn't think they had much taste. I like them cooked in bacon grease the best, pan fried for breakfast with eggs and taters.
Nice to see you back doing more wild north cooking. Absolutely love these kind of videos you put up! Glad to see you're doing good andrew and also happy for your new pup. Sure miss Charlie boy but hes also proud of you now I'm sure if it. ❤

Best line ever...."he was gonna eat Rudy, well Fuck, me and Rudy gonna eat him" thank god Rudy is ok!! he a great pup!
That Lynx should have practiced social-distancing !

We use mayo. A lot of it. It draws out gamey too. Small jar....meat or fish in foil....wrap and grill.
Rudy is the first German Shepherd I've seen with that color coat pattern. Beautiful dog.
Rudy is a Chocolate Lab

Yes, I would try it! I believe you should use everything you harvest, or at least try to.
I love your cabin cookup videos. Very interesting.
OMG! If you could've only got that on tape!! Millions would've been clicking on it! Great Video!!

Lynx tried to eat Rudy, Rudy gets to eat Lynx.
I would definitely eat lynx. I have eaten all sorts of weird shit all over the world. Most of it I liked.
I've had cougar and liked it lynx is on my bucket list had to marinade the meat with a small amount of vinegar Base good eats there my friend.
Great video buddy. People back home eat them quite often. Apparently Lynx meat makes good Lynx bait.

But Bobcat and Mountain Lion are pretty tasty.
You can try making a Gumbo with some cat meat.
Cute pup Andrew! I'd try the lynx meat for sure.
Next time I think you should fry it with onions and sprinkle some hy"s on it!
Nice looking dog you have there. Keep the little guy safe.
Not very exciting in town lately. Stay safe! Save me a beaver tail. 🍻👍
Hell yeah I would try it, I heard lynx and cougar taste great. Can't hunt lynx in Alberta though so may be some time before I get to give it a go.
I have eaten quite a bit of cougar meat Andrew. It is very good and mild flavor. I really enjoy your vids Andrew.
Nice one Andrew, I would eat Lynx for sure! Now that Rudy has a taste for cat you can bring him over to my neighbourhood anytime.
Catch clean cook are the best ones my man
