Really miss the trapping videos. Found your channel ten years ago after knee replacement surgery. Watching you run your line motivated me to get back into trapping. it had been thirty five years since my last attempt at trapping, sucked at it then and not a lot better at it now. My biggest beaver last year was 63 pounds ! snared 8 off one farm. wishing you all the best in all you do. Going thataway.
Nice video! And nice to see you and Ben, Andrew! Food prices all over Canada have gone foolish. Makes it bad here in our little town on the South Shore of NS we only have one major grocery store. So high prices and no competition. You guys enjoy the rest of your summer. 😊
Well, one thing for sure Andrew , getting 20,000 views from past followers after a long absence proves that we still enjoy your company.Yep!i could tell by the speed Ben was preparing that meal that he couldn’t wait to get that fish fix!!!😅
From the Yoop Northern Michigan. Been watching your channel for over ten years now. Always looking forward to your videos. Love to see some more hunting and fishing videos from up your way. Thanks for sharing.
I ordered some Back Eddys from an outlet in the NWT delivered to Nebraska. It was kind of pricey but my curiosity finally got the best of me :) I hope I like it! Everything here in the states is more than it was last year as well. We buy meat when it's on sale and can it or freeze it. I think everyone is struggling with prices.Lots of deer meat and fish in my pantry and freezer. Thanks for the video!!!
Yeah I usually don't buy meat from the store my diet is wild meat. But I do buy hot dogs and the price on them went from $7- $11.99. And those are the cheap ones. I won't buy hot dogs no more.
Great video. I’m a pike person too. More flavor. Just take out the bones. They are great for pickling too. Grocery prices here are stupid expensive. That roll of aluminum foil would cost over $10! Pitiful. At least I can grow potatoes and onions to help my bill. Really like your dad’s set up there. Are you getting any rain to fill the lake? Seems it won’t stop down here in Wisconsin. All the best! Ranger Reno
Great to see you back. I hope you never stop posting trapping - hunting - and fishing videos. Your dad great outdoors man also. Or is this man a Native??. ❤ AWESOME ❤
Nothing better than fresh fish shore lunch.. Here in the midwest , we would pay fry with Andy's Red. Traditionally, by the Mississippi river, its generally catfish.
Yeah it’s getting ridiculous with the price of things these days. Certainly incentive to eat more wild food options. Good to see everyone is doing well. Looks like you guys could use some rain. I hope you ge TV some if you need it. Good luck and stay safe out there friend 👍👍
Is your season to short to plant a small garden potato's and onions and other short season vegetable's? Short season spuds "Norlands" and onion bulbs only need about 60 days here west central minn to produce, probably not much more up your way do to your longer days. My favorite fish is yellow perch....

Plant some ootatoes in a 2' by 2' box using pallet wood and sone small ligs for posts. As the plant grows add dirt and another board around let it grow then repeat. After a month or 2 you can remive a bottom board and reach in and harvest new potatoes. Then wait till potatoe harvest time and you can get 20 to 40 lbs from one plant in a 2" square area. And plant onions they grow well in cooler climate
You are absolutely right about the cost of food inflation even down in southern Canada. You are lucky Andrew in that you have the skills to catch a lot of your food.
The BEST dried fish I've ever laid a lip on was native style dried fish with Pike. Looks good there Kemosabe. Rudy's lookin' good and havin' a ball. God bless you, Andrew.
I miss seeing your videos Andrew. I know life and work get in the way but you were a way to keep from going crazy back during the pandemic and something to share and help explain to my then 5 year old grandson. He one home and say are we going to watch Mr Andrew and his dog catching the animals. Fun times with him. We rewatch them but he’s old enough to know that he’s saw it before. Hope you are well. Stay safe and stay blessed. Fans from Colorado
The best fish ever for smoking with hickory, the oils and flaky texture, turns to a golden colour are just amazing. We used to catch some pretty big ones in northern Alberta.

Great to see you back after pike Andrew! I've been enjoying Back Eddy's for years now thanks to you! I wish it wasn't so expensive to ship it across the border, but it's WELL worth it! I bought a tub of it so it's lasted a while. Goes great on everything just like you said! French fries, hamburgers, roasts, venison, goose, ducks, squirrel, pheasant, chickens.....everything. I still need to cook a beaver tail with Back Eddy's man. I could smell that through the screen!!! Can't wait to see more buddy!
Holy cows that lake looked like tide water, way low for sure. Food, OMG prices are stupid.
