  • A highly comprehensive review of Varla's Eagle One Pro high performance electric scooter. You'll also learn the differences between the Eagle One and Eagle One Pro electric scooters. We'll also be putting Varla's Eagle One Pro electric scooter to the test on the road. This is the fastest electric scooter I've been on, and a great mode of transportation. I was not paid by the company to produce this video(Which many channels are), I was simply sent a scooter under the condition that I create a product review and testing video. Enjoy the video!

An awesome review as always (Mr Consistent!!!) I'm going to have to check with the local police to see if this is kosher on the streets here...if so, this could be a contender!!!! $2000 is a bit spendy though....

Good review. Looks like this scooter has a lot going for the price.

With an MSRP at $1,999.00 to $2,298.00, this thing is way, way overpriced. I really don't like fast scooters. These things should be for off road use only or locked to like 20mph. Scooters are inherently unstable. There is little you can do to fix that. Since you are not fixed in any way to the scooter, panic stops are extremely dangerous. I've seen people bring very fast scooters to a stop pretty quickly, but these were planned stops. This was not a car pulling out in front of them completely unexpected while doing 45-65mph.

I agree, 40-45 mph on a scooter is fast, and actually a little scary on the road. As for stability, it was very stable, I didn't notice any front wheel wobble sensation with the handle bar from right to left side while riding. I've been on scooters before where the front wheel can do that and you can lose control. Price, 2K, so it is a higher end scooter, less expensive scooters may lack quality, have cheap cells installed, or lack other features. As for braking, it stops on the dime. I brake mostly using rear and 25% with the front. You can slide a little if you stop quickly from a high speed. The ONLY time I would ride in mode 3 would be if no one is around and there was no danger of cars hitting me.

@@electronicsNmore It doesn't stop on a dime, you would be thrown many feet. Your stopping felt good to you, which is probably fair when bringing it to a stop under ideal conditions.
45mph is 66 feet per second. There simply is no way to stop something you are standing on to a stop all that quickly.
I've seen people at 60mph on a scooter (video, not in person) bring that scooter to a stop in a seemingly impressive distance. But they were planned stops. They squatted to keep the weight low. They knew they were doing it long before they did it. It is quite difficult to make it an automatic reaction to do that because most of the time, you are not panic stopping. If you are regularly driving something like this around at these high speeds, it is only a matter of time before you have a panic stop.
I don't think it is possible to make a scooter stable. They certainly have made some of the higher end ones feel stable by adding dampening to the stalk. But whether this is truly more stable or just feels more stable, to be honest, I don't really know.
Also Segway puts out a pretty high end scooter and it is a lot less money.
I came of age in the 80s. I know I'm showing my age here, but 2 plus grand is cheap car money. As long as you don't live where I live in Philly, insurance is very low for such a vehicle.

Did a brake repair on one of these recently for my dentist. Every single one of the "allen/hex" fasteners holding the vertical beam rounded out trying to remove and had to be drilled. Honestly seemed as though they were intentionally locked in to prevent any work

I wish you would have done more/better testing. How does it handle steep hill climbing? Panic braking distance from speed? Stability (scooters are inherently unstable)? Actual verified range at high speed? Actual verified range in med speed? Actual verified range in hilly areas? Also, fixing a flat on the road.
Going up and down a 100 yard track is really pointless and really doesn't demonstrate anything.
These things should be limited in speed. 45mph is 66 feet per second. This is too fast for the form factor, especially given that these are very popular with teenagers. Either that or banned from roads and bike paths.
Your gear is wholly inappropriate for riding this thing. The full helmet is good, but you're wearing a beater. You arms, shoulders and legs are all exposed. You're wearing a 1/2 glove (should be full) and knee pads and elbow pads. That's all good. 1/2 of your skin exposed is not. You could easily end up in the hospital needing skin grafts. These things are just not appropriate for Florida late spring. It's too hot to wear proper gear. But even where I live, 20 degrees North of you at 40 degrees, it's too hot to wear all the gear in May and definitely the summer.
If you fly off this thing at top speed, you will slide along ground at 66 feet per second. Even if you are not seriously injured, you're in for a world of pain.

There is no issue with this scooter climbing, that I know for a fact. You forget I live in flat florida. LOL I did go up and down a few berms, and the scooter has so much power it was barely noticeable going up hill. As for speed, you forget I own a radar gun and a smartphone with GPS, yes the scooter's speed is fairly accurate as long as the tire size is set properly on the control unit. Clearly you wouldn't be doing 40-45mph with a bunch of people around you walking. Going that fast, you'd be in the bike lane. My safety gear is highly appropriate. Helmet, wrist protection, elbow protection, and knee protection. Yes, in the event of a fall, you will get road rash wearing what I was wearing.

@@electronicsNmore One of the guys that has a channel entirely around ebikes and e-scooters has a driveway he climbs. It's a 20% climb. I know Florida is pretty flat. I thought maybe a parking garage might have a pretty steep incline.
Scooters generally do better than bikes climbing because of the much, much smaller wheel size. An 8" tire doesn't go very far in one rotation compared to a 29" tire.

So the new Eagle one pro controller is 25amp I just received it the one that came with it was a 30amp and let me tell you with the new controller I was able to get 47mph it was amazing it runs so much more smoother with the updated controller varla sent me and with my old controller I got 43mph and my scooter was constantly over heating with the old controller and now it runs like a champ !😊

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Месяц назад

Doesn't make sense to me because the 30 amps should give you more speed than the 25 amp. More power more speed

@@electronicsNmore yeah I said the same but sometimes more dosent always means better when you put to much power on something it dosent always means better numbers I tune Cars for a living and it's a big example of more fuel/less fuel or more boost less boost at times when you runs more fuel the numbers aren't always good due to balance the numbers might be better from the outside but when it actually runs it basically runs like crap and causes all type of issues in the long run and you will start loosing power due to other components failing because it isn't able to keep up with the amount of fuel so running less fuel would be because every component in the engine is able to function at it full potential without any bogging or anything so therefore the motor will be running smooth and is able to function properly at high rpm instead of bogging out because it's not able to handle more fuel so throughout the acceleration it'll run like crap because to much of anything will cause something to fail when it comes to motors ect it's better to have the motor run smooth and reliable through all rps during acceleration so every component is able to run at its full potential so therefore the vehicle is able to push out alot more power
