A few things about the demo model vs production model: ✅The side panels can easily be tightened, plus we changed the design to fit the shape of the bike better and be less flimsy. ✅The saddle will be bolted onto the production frame. We were attempting under-seat storage with the prototype, but had to scrap it in the interest of keeping the timeline, and to make the seat fit better. ✅The battery case was 3D printed. Production case is a bead blasted and anodized aluminum case, which is very robust and fits the aesthetic of the bike ✅We deleted the unused charger port. The production version will have a charge meter on the top where those empty holes are to check the battery level. ✅The throttle on this demo is different than the production version Hope that helps!

Awesome to see the LG X being dyno verified! I pre purchased in Jan & can't wait to receive in August! All that power with pedals is what sold me. Pedals are absolutely essential for being allowed on bike path. Great review!
I have been involved in e-bikes for several years. 2kW is about the limit for bicycle parts. Higher power really requires motorcycle parts, which this has, looks good.
That's a really good point. Keeping up with the flow of traffic is definitely safer. They should rethink the speed limit for the classes in my opinion.
"The faster I go, I would say the better it actually feels" - thats been my experience in life, generally speaking. Also, I like that it has a strong on center feel.
Listen, I took the MOST2 motorcycle course which used to allow me to teach the class. When you are on a road, you need to stay just to the left of the center to ride free of the oil slick. It becomes extremely evident when mist falls from air. Also that position makes you visible in the driver's side mirror.
The power goat is very high on my list. There are several companies that already make full frame batteries for it that will give you 75 total Amp hours. That would give the bike roughly an hour and a half at full throttle. 😳
I like to rip around on my 50lbs bike that can hit 40+. Because it’s so light I rarely take it over 30 though. Motor is 3500W and like the controller, it’s multi voltage capable. I can use a range of batteries that I already have, so I can strap on a small Ah for short distances, or larger for longer distances. The larger battery (72V) actually helps with stability because it mounts on the center top bar.
That's why sleeper bikes are important fuck the laws it's safer to be able to keep up with traffic discretely then being nerfed at 20mph the pedals allows you to use that I. Front of police throw a scanner on it so you know ahead of time and you got the complete package

A Harley has about 90 hp which is equivalent to 90 x 745.7 or 67,300 watts , so 8000 watts is 8000 watts / 745.7 watts/hp = 10.7 HP or about 1/8th the power of a Harley. That is equivalent to about a 175 CC motorcycle which outputs 8,300 watts (FYRO 175)

Definitely love high powered ebikes but I really think you should gear up as if you're on a motorcycle. I have a bike no longer sold that I bought here in Canada with two 52v 20ah batteries and dual 1000w motors. It hits 60kmh and I have been riding in just a T-shirt in the hot weather recently. But I realize how unsafe and ridiculous that is, if I crash the helmet isn't going to do a whole lot except maybe prevent a fatal injury. Thinking about just riding it as a normal lower powered ebike(can change the settings to limit motors to 500w) until I can get more than just a helmet. I feel like I'm going to be miserable geared up but I'd rather do that than be bed ridden for months. Cool video anyway, If I had the money I'd definitely grab one of these no hesitation.

It’s fine if you register and insure it as a light motorcycle, as that’s what it is. It is well beyond the class 1, 2, 3 categories of ebikes, and will only invite more restrictions on those ebikes if this is ridden on paths and bike lanes. Most states already consider this type of vehicle as a moped or light motorcycle. I see it has front turn signals, but it also needs better rear turn signals, side mirrors, a place to mount a license plate on the rear and a VIN to be able to register and insure it. Wise of them to equip it with more robust motorcycle rims and tires as I think most riders will use it in “off-road” mode.
You probably are drawing more power to ctually go 40mph. In my experience that takes about 1500 watts or so on a direct drive. The difference is that this is setup for a lot more torque. It also takes exponentially more power to increase speed.
@@DriverJ-N - I also looked at the Goat. Right now, the Wired Cruiser looks like the best choice for what I'm looking for. It's only $2K, but it looks totally street legal, with 3000 peak watts, dual batteries. Looking street legal is fairly important.
Hello I have a 26 inch tire version. It can go 70MPH. I use it to go to town 45 miles away. I ride at 40mph. It is just too fast otherwise. I can ride to town towing a trailer shop and return. The 85V battery just barley lasts the distance. I would share that an 85 volt battery will kill you. I can't get a license. I am 74 and disabled. Regards
BAC2000 can easily take 72v, I built a bike with 52v and it is capable of ripping the drivetrain apart with just 52v. It is a midrive and will do over 50mph. You have to shift gears and go easy on it on the low end.
Hey Kyle, great video that Dyno test was super impressive, but I would love to know what your actual top speed was on the bike because it seems as if you are a bit lighter than Mike and closer to my actual weight. Thanks
It's all legal in California, as long as you slap a 750W sticker on the motor, lol. I've got 16" dual sport tires on my XP 2.0. Getting flat tires has gone way down. Now if Lectric had better more durable rear wheels on their bikes, I'd be all set. On a recent 14.79 mile ride, I literally broke 8 spokes in the rear wheel by the time I got home. Let's just say it made for one really, really long RUclips video. I could've and should've probably made 3 videos out of it but I've got a couple of viewers that like really long videos. It's hard trying to keep everybody happy.
"People want a 40mph bike" Reprogram a bafang 750w mid drive motor removing the speed limit, and with the proper gear used you can get this. Also saw a guy just use a different tire size in the setup to trick it into thinking it was going slower than it was. :)
Gosh I hate that ALL the e-bike reviewers live in Flat Land City. I guess top speed on flat is important to you guys, but torque and speed on 9-12% hills for a football field or two several times in a 15 mile ride... that's what I care about (So Cal Coastal). I hate that even with a 52V system (Revv1 52V40aH 35A) I am dropping to ~ 15mph and stopping up traffic when there is nothing more than a minimal and uncleaned bike gutter (not a bike lane). With a bike like this a responsible adult is not going over the speed limit with it. Hey I can his 42mph on my skinny tire road bike going down a hill no problem. Yeah, with this type of bike... full Moto helmet, get some mirrors, a Garmin Varia and a Ride Free Brake light on your helmet with any bike like this. And yeah... It's not a motorcycle... it doesn't have a clutch, doesn't have gears and it's doesn't struggle at low speeds due to 400+lbs of weight; all you have is a front and right brake with an twist throttle. It's far simpler and safer for an average user to use day 1, ride 1. At $4k it's kind of a steal (Direct drive, 60V40aH, MT5e, DLR, turn signals, brake lights)... but I think I would buy a used Onyx RCR.
A few things about the demo model vs production model:

@@DriverJ-N - I also looked at the Goat. Right now, the Wired Cruiser looks like the best choice for what I'm looking for. It's only $2K, but it looks totally street legal, with 3000 peak watts, dual batteries. Looking street legal is fairly important.
Wow! I want one
Regards
Why is your headlight broken and hanging there .
Price? Available in Europe?
hello, what helmet are you wearing? thanks.
Ruroc
8000 watts it should do over 50 mph realistically if otherwise it's geared for torque
Maximum of 7,200 w. Nominal 3000 Watts.
Does the controller go up to 72v?
It has the capability yes, we don’t warranty changes to that voltage but it’s possible but would require a new controller tune
Thanks
I feel confident saying 49mph on a full charge and 150lbs.
That is 11 horsepower but with electric motor torque.
Wow !! I wish I could buy that...
"People want a 40mph bike"
Reprogram a bafang 750w mid drive motor removing the speed limit, and with the proper gear used you can get this. Also saw a guy just use a different tire size in the setup to trick it into thinking it was going slower than it was. :)
Torque is 27% greater so it is more like a quarter greater, not a third.
Wired bike, 2k massively lighter, dual motors dual batteries (60v) 42 MPH unlocked, full off-road suspension 26 x 4 inch fat-tire Kenda knobbies. SORRY, YOU LOST!🤣
I think if you saw them side by side you'd think the wired feels "cheap" in comparison.
Which wires bike?
If you want to actually pedal this is 10x better than the rcr
We have hill climbs on our channel plus other reviewers doing 15% or more grades showing the bike can maintain a 40 mph+ speed up major hills
45mph should be legal and standard to keep up with traffic in a city environment.
thanks for sharing.😉
Handle bars are a little to low
