Do you want to come test ride Land Bikes at Area 13?
Yes,unfortunately I'm in England 😅 🇬🇧 🤠🤘
Yes I'm in Redding, California
Would love to be able to test ride land bikes at area 13.
Absolutely YES!!
Yes I would love to visit your shop to ride one of these.
I want to develop my own because I'm far ahead of everyone.
Don't forget parts availability. I don't want a bespoke bike, and not be able to replace parts. 1yr later the company goes out of business, and Im stuck with a useless bike(Sonders).
This bike has ALL available parts for upgrades and configurations right now! All built in US so you won’t have to worry about available parts ever.. every component manufactured here in America
And onyx
I have the street version with the higher gearing and it’s super fun! I keep it in mode 4 pretty much at all times and launch at stop lights and stop signs just about every time as well lol can’t help it
If you’re a mode 4 guy all of the time I saw a video where they show the app and that you can lock it into a preferred mode i.e. mode 4 for max torque and top speed. That said I’ve seen a lot of videos with slightly conflicting information so I don’t know if this is still the case. If true though it would be nice to not have to constantly change modes all of the time and just leave it in the mode you prefer.
@@TroyOneOnyes you can lock it in whatever mode you want it to stay in. I personally don’t mind switching through them because I’m the morning when I am going down my street for work I’ll ride it in 2 then put it in 4 after. You can just tap the mode button quickly and it goes up so it’s not like it takes much time to flick through them like you can go from life 1 tap it real fast and with in like a second or two your in mode 4 so 🤷🏻♂️ not that bad
I heard in the last year, the battery on an electric motorcycle lasts about an hour at highway speeds. They have to be improving on this number, increasing the range, if they want to sell more, yes ?
Mine was delivered tonight... I don't think I can sleep just waiting to ride it tomorrow and this weekend! 🤩
How is it how’s the range
How long does it take for the delivery
@@gilbertocisneros85 around 3 to 4 weeks
They sound like tron bikes . 😊
Yeah lightcycles ftw
I've always wanted to build a bike like that, but a lot of work and trials. It is totally badass and looks like fun. I guess you need to license it in CA. I just went to your store yesterday. What a place! Loved seeing all the bikes you have. Will be back. I hope your health is better. The road back from G.B. is a long one. I hope to meet you sometime. I love e-bikes. Been following you for a while. Great stuff, keep it up.
That’s the torque of a Ford Maverick pickup
I would think the street model should have the high gearing to go up to 70 mph with a little less torque..
Agreee
Epic video. The Land’s on my short, short list.
The Spark Javelin & Brut, possibly a Huck or Surron Storm Bee…Stark Varg, Harley, BMW are larger & suitable e-moto options as well.
LOVE this bike…it comes with 3 different size batteries…7K gets you the smaller 40ah that’s too small IMO…great video bro🤘
Awesome explanation of the feeling of riding the bike. That pull off the line is something that is addicting! Love mine! Gotta get these in your shop for test rides. This is what all the guys modding their ebikes are trying to achieve. There are no upgrades needed on this bike and it comes with a warranty. Just sayin
"E-bike mode".🤔🤣
I’m a bigger guy at 6’4 about 315. I was looking for their rider weight limit on the website but didn’t see anything. This looks like a great commute to work option for me.
You'd be better buying a used civic... Plus you get air conditioning 😂
@@johnnnewmex I mean I have a car it’s just not as fun. I’ve been wanting an electric motorcycle for a while to take camping for exploring and for riding to work on nice days.
@@tragedyshero72weight limit is 350 I think
The Land district bike or Ryvid anthem?? How would you compare them being someone that has ridden both?.. Great video!
Both fun! Ryvid does not pull nearly as hard on acceleration. It's quick but not the same "wow" factor or adrenaline rush. Handling was smooth on the ryvid, build quality excellent as well. More creature comforts (adjustable saddle height, trigger regen, etc) much wider rear tire. I view them more as options for different styles or preferences and less of which one is better. Both great, Land was the more "exciting" bike to ride due to power delivery.
I haven’t ridden either bike but they both look like they’d be fun. I’ve seen videos of both on removing the battery for charging and the District is much simpler hands down.
That's my exact debate at the moment, too.
Wish the Land had a belt drive option. The Ryvid is so quiet for a mid-drive!
@@El_Guap They have a Gates cf belt-drive as an option if you call them.
What about this vs the javlin from sparks ebike or the brute obviously less capacity but for 4-5k may be better value
Great video and even better audio, can I ask what mic your using?
Rode wireless go for most shots. (Lavalier a must) occasionally used the insta 360s built in audio as well.
What version would you recommend of the District if you wanted one of these for commuting but did want to take if off road on the weekends. Would the scrambler with its different gear ration and lower top speed feel to limited for daily driving? For daily use though would probably only hit the highways for brief stints.
55mph highway or 65mph roads? If 55 you really would be happy with the lower gearing. Good thing is you can always change it later. I had a ton of fun on the 55mph setup. The torque was almost too much at times with the street tires.
i guess the gearing was random because i would have assumed the scrambler would have the lower gearing. this does seem a viable purchase.
That's a cool bike. It would be awesome if it had like a geared hub as the Jack shaft to give it a little more gearing
Interesting idea! I like the simplicity of the current gearing but a wider range would be cool.
Zero FX series can do all bar the swapable battery or do I miss something?? I do like the bikes in the video. Seem OK value for money too
Starts at 12,500 and production moved overseas. Also advertised torque is significantly lower.
@@Area13ebikes Also Zero motorcycles is facing finanical struggles. More and more dealersips are dropping them. They are selling less each year.
Zero is gonna have to innovate, get some better specs, and bring their cost down.
@@booobtooober I agree. They are falling behind.
@@shastamite2sales in general are dropping even for ice bikes and cars ! Livewire Del Mar 2 and the 1 , and this company isn’t turning bikes over , few ppl have them , and it’s pricey.. 12k for the biggest battery and a rack is to expensive for 70mph with no real highway range .. so I don’t understand your comment
Check out the spark cycleworks bike they have one they make right here in USA frame is folded aluminum!
Am planning to get either the District Street (higher gearing) or Ryvid Anthem for commuting and other on-road-only travel around town. Rarely, if ever, do I expect to hit the highway, but nice to know I can in a pinch for a few miles. So if you were to choose one of those two bikes, as they're about the same money but radically different pros and cons, which do you think would be the smarter buy?
Ryvid just lowered their prices!
Hey... My Land District package came with 2 yellow and 2 red reflectors stickers... Anyone using these? I'm a 1st time rider, so I put the yellows vertically on each side of my battery "bucket"... Might not look the "cleanest" any longer now, but get a little peace of mind when riding at night... O and put one of the reds horizontally on the back of the battery bucket. Any thoughts? These are 3M stickers, wonder how easy to take off if I change my mind🤔
Does the bike shut off after pinning the throttle for a while like other electric motocycles?
no shutoff.... full throttle for as long as you want.
The handlebars could be a little more curved in. The same as beach bars are. It would give it a 1930s look. To me. That would look nice
My wish list:
100% Made in USA
200+ mile range @ 65mph
Top speed @ 80+mph
Look more like a Honda Shadow Phantom then a Honda CBR1000RR-R
Adjustable seat height is a nice addition too
Windshield with wipers
12V and USB3+ adapters to power devices like Ham Radios and Cellphones
Dual seat capable
Seat back capable for either front or rear passenger
Good bright lighting and signals
Dual gearing with a high and low for sport and cruiser modes for high speed (80+mph) or high power (more torque) with a selector like a normal motorcycle gears minus clutch or automatic mode like the original Honda 4-Wheeler ATV.
Under $9k!
It shouldn't cost more than the Honda Shadow Phantom or Honda Rebel 1100.
For an accessory it should also include a holder for a HT/Mobile Ham Radio and a Mic and a HT antenna mount for the rear and a place for a cellphone too. Extra storage and drink holders as well.
Left Handed operation would be nice as well... (Not everyone is right handed or have one!!!)
Great review but there is no way that will pass on a bike path or trail. You’ll have everyone calling the 👮♀️ on you. The Surron has the same problem but half the look of a cycle. What is the N.m on the 295 ft lb via the dyno? Great looking bike I might be interested
400nm
What a Karen lmao. I've ridden Surron for two years literally everywhere on bike paths and no one cares. Imagine thinking I'll still be there when Karen calls the cops, if they even decide to show up.
295 ftlb of Torque 🤠🤘
Nice.
I like these. Does it have regen ? And can I get a senior discount??
The standard rear drive Tesla Model 3 has 266 lb ft of torque.
Removeable battery with over 100 mile range??
5kwh battery. At highway speeds you can certainly kill it faster. For city and backroads I feel comfortable I could get that out of it.
@@Area13ebikesgoing how fast you think you’ll get 100 miles and mode 4
This looks so tempting and i love that you can finance. But my biggest question is, will my fiance be able to ride with me, in the back? Does this have passenger pegs?
What keeps dinging in the background?
The bike reminding you that it's on.
replace your fire alarm battery hahaha
Is Area 13 the new name for Bolton Ebikes?
Yep!
Battery prices (the most expensive component) have been falling steadily.
Per Tony Seba's predictions over 10 years ago.
Land Moto District vs. Ryvid Anthem, which is better?
Different bikes, not sure if "better" is the right term. The Ryvid has some nice creature comforts like the adjustable ride height of the saddle, trigger activated regen, and batteries also removable but on wheels. Build quality in both excellent. The Land has noticeably more torque and faster acceleration. The ryvid had a much wider rear tire and felt very stable at highway speeds. Both very fun to ride! Ryvid was quieter of the two, no audible motor noise past 30mph or so. You'd be happy with either. I'd go Land if you want the adrenaline rush of the acceleration or the scrambler off road capability. Ryvid if you're sticking more to street and want it's looks or things mentioned above.
This or a zero fxe ?
Oh my gosh! Mad crazy…
Pull = G force. 😅
How fast?
70mph+
72mph
Fast enough 😉
I can see it now part bike part Cyborg front tire wheel hub motor rear tire, powered by a 4 cyl motor. Test speed 0 - 60 yesterday.😂😂😂😂
A $9,610/£7,730 electric motorcycle. That’s expensive but it’s the price you pay for a electric motorcycle these days.
About the same price I paid for my last gas bike too.
About the same price I paid for my last gas bike too.
Over price. Just go with cycle sparks they are much easier on all pockets.
Will feel like a toy next to the Land.
@@Area13ebikes u know cycle works have two new ebikes coming out. I don't think so.
THIS E-BIKE WILL BLOW THE COMPETITION AWAY Meet The BRUTE From Spark CycleWorks / Mr. E
ruclips.net/video/LU6QWSZ2RK4/видео.html
Land is cool but there's something "meh" about them. They do have a clean look though. They've received alot of funding over the years to keep their business floating so hopefully they put their money into an ebike design or something else to try and capture more sales.
They do have other things in the works. It's all hush hush at the moment.
The bike is amazing man.
Um i have 48 mi range 🎉
The little Honda XR150L is only $3,000 and gets like 75 mpg. It can go 60 mph and on or off road. How about a Yamaha XT250 ? 70 mph and cheap .. On and on off road. I'm not convinced on electric for now. But still watching.😁
Nowhere near the torque of this. Gas, oil, maintenance, electric is going to win out.
@@Area13ebikes Not to mention the damage that burning fossil fuels does.
My surron goes 90 😂
The Land Moto District is a street legal electric motorcycle with top notch quality components and speed to ride in traffic. The Surron is an overpriced boy's toy with questionable parts that's illegal to ride on the streets with traffic so there's no comparison.
@@denniebone388 there's a comparison, and I just made it
@@SurFrankenRon Not, really, no. You are comparing things which can't really be compared to each other. Having a a bike which is street legal makes a world of difference. Unless ofc you live in a place with no cops or never ride on streets and highways.
@Shiroikage84 I live on the outskirts of Los Angeles and ride in streets, trails, sidewalks, parks, everywhere. I get what you're saying, but if they're gonna make something built for highways... make it haul ass
It's not a hundred mile bike unless you're looki can load your speedit
An electric motorcycle doesn't make sense to me.
dont break laws it spoils it for us old guys and you'lll be one one day
What laws are you referring to?
this is the reason electric bicycles are dieing.
making them unafortable. and mow cal is requring they be treated as motorcycles , reg, forced insurance. in a market wees insuranch companys are NOT writing new policys. .
Too heavy at 230 pounds and the frame too close to the ground. If you lean too far to turn you when are on the street you will hit the frame by just leaning over . Of road horrible clearance and body hits everything.
Frankly you don't know what you're talking about... there are people competing in mx races on these.
@Area13ebikes I watched the review when the Land Moto Ceo was with the guy and he was scraping the ground on turns!!
@@Rogue_1987 post a link or it didn't happen. (Also any bike can scrape if you lean it far enough, but I don't think that's a problem here)
ruclips.net/video/7tZJJRARRUA/видео.htmlsi=A5tOUNxgy_OdaJo8
@Area13ebikes he was barely leaning! Did you see how there is shit clearance??? Can you imagine trying to ride this thing off road?
Nice bikes.
I was to go faster.
My BBSHD will work for now. #erictennant
only 100 miles. i will stick to my FZ-1.
it can do a three pass (300 miles) ride on one tank of gasoline. (5.? gallons).
or get me stockton ca to K falls or on one tank.
but i do stop in redding. ca.
