LOL... I just happen to have a dyno in my garage. Wow, that's impressive. This bike hits every promise that the Metacycle made and at cost promised by Sondors. It's truly a "highway capable" bike. The top speed, acceleration, braking, etc., all blow away what Storm promised. Also, they did their job ensuring they were legal to sell in all states they sold to and worked through the registration issues. This is 180 degrees opposite how Sondors handled his customers. Further, Ryvid has proven itself to be a company with the highest level of integrity and I have had three service visits from Matt since I owned the bike and I am about as far away from socal as you can get. I really hope that Ryvid continues where they are going. It is very rare to encounter such an honest company. I knew that Dong and crew had threaded the needle as perfectly as you can get with respect to engineering battery capacity, motor sizing, weight of motorcycle and the gearing. But, with this new controller, they have done something out of the ordinary in terms of perfect engineering and crafting an electric motorcycle that can be as perfectly done as possible given the immense limitations of battery technology, cost and doing the assembly in California.

Wow, had a little less than $6000. This is quite a buy. When you consider that some e-bikes, especially mountain bikes are nearly that price. The reversed lift/squat is what the old 80’s Kawasaki Eliminator did, it would lift the bike up when you hit it vs squatting it was a wicked fast bike and the way it lifted was amazing to see

The stiffness isn't the same as the production bikes (will be more comfortable than what I've got). Seat is narrow similar to a dirt bike. Doesn't give you as much to hug in the turns like some sport bikes but was never really an issue.
I did not know the top speed drops like that at the bottom 3rd of the battery. I don’t get that with the land Moto. I guess that’s a con with the ryvid. One thing I forgot about that’s pretty cool with the ryvid is that you can interchange the panels to different color combinations in the future if you want. Very dope
I love the invite to stop by your shop for a test ride! I'm curious to know if some of the panels are just for decoration because the bike might look even better if it's naked?
What is it like to peel your ass off of the seat after non-stop depleting the battery on eco mode? This is an area where I will walk away from a vehicle and not look back at its manufacturer. I hope they get it right and I hope that there are other style kits that can be swapped onto the main structure for those of us who love the classics of the 80's.

Is classified as an electric motorcycle (whatever that means in your state, but overall what I’m seeing is that it is an actual motorcycle that needs license, insurance and plates) and this one is 5,995.00 which includes the upgraded controller for free which is 800.00. Which makes this a steal because is you buy the anthem which is the other model model you have to have pay to upgrade the controller. Hope that helps

I went to a local RE dealer and the cheapest bike out the door was 7500+ and u would still need insurance and to take the licensing test and they need more maintenancei was told the first 500 Miles oil change you need to adjust the lifters and its like a 500 dollar job. The Ryvid website claims only 53 ft-lb (72. N-m) peak torque and 20 hp (14kW) peak power. Your torque number is over 6 times the claimed rating while your power number is about 35% higher. Your torque measurement is questionable. Have you contacted Ryvid about this?
The torque results don’t seem correct to me. For eg a 2023 Zero SR/F is rated for 140ft-lb for torque and makes 110hp. It also does 0-60 in around 3.6 seconds. So I don’t see how your results can be accurate?
I suspect that this bike will be on my mind until I get an electric motorcycle of my own. I've just been waiting for a 96-volt motorcycle before I can buy so I can build a pair of 48-volt batteries capable of series connection. Somehow I get the impression that nobody else is smart enough to see why this is such a great idea.
@@Area13ebikes my house power is converted from solar input to 48-volt battery storage. I have no interest in converting this to A/C just to convert it to 72 volts D/C. The connections to the BMS individual Cells will be spring loaded and will disconnect by hand or by a plastic piece that hits the bottom of the battery box or the top of the bottom battery. The cell output will exceed the potential draw of the controller to eliminate the need for the BMS to be active during discharge. If a cell fails, I might rethink the idea.
I think you need to do a battle of E-cells and wired to put it all to rest. What do you all think I think E-cells comes out the winner. Let's see this please Kyle I hope that they both send you bikes and do a back to back test in the same video
How long does the battery last, 20,000 miles?. How much is a new battery? You can buy a 125 to match this for less money, cheap to run, and will do over 100,000 miles without any major expense. The best thing this has is also the worst thing, super fast acceleration, a motorcycle rider's greatest risk. Edit: my 125 does 200 miles on one tank of fuel and currently approaching 60,000 miles, wonder if any electric bike will last 60,000 miles without major costs.
I'd say enjoy your 125 and never look back, there are so many great options and this is just one option for people who knows what they want and need to have.
I wonder why we don't see mid drive electric motorcycles that take advantage of having a multiple gears. It's common in high end electric bikes but I think it could really allow e-motorcycles to compete with gas bikes.
Complexity. Electric motors are pretty good at having very consistent torque and power across the rpm ranges. Gears exist in ICE engine to overcome its lack of ability to generate good torque at lower rotation speeds.
@@Area13ebikes that makes sense. My thinking was that a transmission would allow you to get more performance out of lower rpm ranges so you don't have to go to the higher ranges that drain the battery quickly.

Anything you cannot pedal is not an ebike, but rather a dirt ebike or an e-moto IMO. The line greys between bike and scooter. Fun nonetheless but can easily be abused.

I think people are on the look out for people blurring the distinction because a lot of other channels keep trying to group e-dirtbike stuff like Sur Rons and Talarias in the same category as pedal assist bikes which is leading to anti ebike sentiment from non riders.
That has a good top speed.. I would think it's comparable to a Honda 300 in weight and speed. Probably faster . Similar price to the Honda CRF300L also

All this is great but, the most important video isn't out yet, the longevity is the most important, and your too busy playing with it. You mentioned putting over 200 miles on it, great, was that all on one charge?!? How long did it take to recharge it?!? On your home car charger and using a normal 110 charger?!? What about the lighting? Brakes? Comfort of ride? Seat comfort? Where's your leathers?
1200 miles on my Anthem. You’ll never get 200 miles on one charge. 35-60 real world depending on all the electric normals and mode. 110 wall charger about 2 hours or so, charges fast. Not exactly sure never been at zero, but about 20% every 30 min. Level 2 charging half all that. Ride is a little stiff at the back but can be adjusted, but still great. Seat slightly tough for me but good for a full charge of ride.
Hi , I heard about your health issue but I don't know your complete symptoms. From the little I heard it sounds like lyme disease . Very hard to diagnose and it seems like the carnivore diet really helps over come along of the symptoms . It is worth checking .
A $6k motorcycle will get you 35 miles of range at 70 mph, or 46 miles of range at 55 mph. It seems they have a ways to go before they’re practical for anything other than a city toy...

Its measured at the motor for the manufacturer(more honest) jusy multiply by 4.7 for the gear ratio and you get pretty close.

That's an insane amount of torque. Just for comparison a Ducati Superleggera has about 85nm. A Mitsubish EVO has about 300nm.

Some panels are, but it's very minimalist already.

I think they have a (currently free) upgraded controller, I bets that's why. Controllers make a massive difference.

Just want to know if it can do city riding 45 mph sometimes 55 can it consistently hit 50 miles per charge?
At that lower speed, people are hitting 60 miles per charge pretty consistently

Why do you want to setup that way? (I have a 36v setup in series for 72v and it does work, but not always an advantage)

That bottom end sag sucks I'm glad I went with the henzo v5 from rumble motors but land moto seems like the clear winner with the hot swap feature
Hot swap is highly underrated, and I see very few companies do this.
The battery swaps on the ryvid too. I think I'd take ryvid or land over the henzo due to the hub motor and handling differences.
Does that ship on a wood pallet in a box? Liftgate truck?
The only delivery photos I've seen were on trucks or specialized motorcycle carriers. No boxes or crates for these.

They've done over 1500 cycles with only 5% loss in range. That's a lot of miles.

Very comparable in weight, it's a few lbs lighter than a cb300. Handling would be similar. 0-60 is actually a bit quicker on the Ryvid.
At 6'1" and 235lbs how much will I look like a circus bear riding a pedal bike?
I had someone a bit heavier ride it and he loved the power. It's kind of comparable to some 300 size bikes but the rear tire is fairly wide.

Hi , I heard about your health issue but I don't know your complete symptoms. From the little I heard it sounds like lyme disease . Very hard to diagnose and it seems like the carnivore diet really helps over come along of the symptoms . It is worth checking .

I like your content and your videos seem great, but your volume level is constantly too low! It literally stops me from watching as it is like 1/4 of the volume of every other RUclips video and I have to jack up the sound on any device I watch them on to a stupid level.
