Sweet video man. I always appreciate your opinion. I’m still on the fence since I do a lot of trail riding with mine. I miss carving when I ride my V2. I enjoy it on my other scooter. The integrated damper and the flat tire shape just doesn’t make for good carving. I noticed they have new throttles on their website now too. No deadzone “issues” after I installed mine but the shorter throw means you need much more fine control or it will be jerky. Especially at low speeds.
@wacko-309 I do have to apologize. I'm not a great content maker. 😕 I am almost finished with it . I blew up a motor last year ( getting anotherone tomorrow). Just completely fried it . But it was doing 0-60 runs in 5 seconds! It is a home made prototype. I will try again this week to make a video. The coolest part is it's cheap / easy . Made to last lifetimes, and you can get most parts from the hardware store/ bike shop / eBay. I designed it to be the most versatile scooter/ anything ever! One size fits anyone, any need ! It is industrial strength muscle footscooter. Thanks for the interest.
Did you get the updated thumb throttle? I'm hearing no dead zone with new one! I messaged Varla ,they told me tire pressuure should be 35 to 40 psi ,strange you where told 50 psi. cheers!
My V2 has been great! The range all depends on how you ride. I have gotten as little as 24 miles, but I have also gotten almost 60 miles on a single charge. That is in Dual Motor with no electric brake…the V2 doesn’t have regen brakes. I have my scooter for almost 6 months and Love it! I don’t have the wide deck, but I also don’t have size 13 feet but agree the deck could be a little bigger. I think your range test was flawed a little at least the last part…You shouldn’t recharge a battery when it’s hot. It’s bad for the battery and you won’t get a proper battery level read.
One thing, you make range tests (which is amazing and I see it every time) and usually you get stranded pushing the limits of the battery, I can teach you how to make a “power bank” for whatever scooter you are testing from 36 to 84v so you quick charge to get home
Wouldn't I have to have multiple banks at my house depending on the scooter voltage? And wouldn't I have to carry them with me on the ride? That extra weight would effect the range, no?
@@GingerOnWheels No apart from the battery itself you connect a “transformer” that boosts whatever voltaje you need to charge the scooter, of course you add weight with a small back pack, like 10lb but you don’t have to walk home ;)
I wish you could review the Yume Hawk. For the money it is an incredible scooter. I’d like to know your comparative thoughts with all of the scooters you have tested.
Something modular. They are easy to get on and off. You can fold the job piece up over the top of the helmet. Put the helmet on and then fold the job pace back down. They do weigh quite a bit more though but they also offer a lot more protection if you fall. That being said I am able to get my Bell Super Air R helmet on and off without taking my glasses off but it's a tight squeeze and the helmet doesn't offer that much protection on fast street rides. In the description of this video there is a link to my linktree, on the linktree there's a button for my Amazon store and I have all the gear I wear listed there.
"It has a really huge deck"......lol lol lol That aside it is a really nice scooter, although truth be told I am not a fan of cruise control. Putting my trust in a tech that has a mind of it's own sounds kind of unsettling. But I guess it does depend on the scooter itself and the way it was programmed. Nice video 💪💪💪💪💪
It doesn't look like it. I introduced myself to the company and got one reply, I messaged back with my plan to review their scooters and they never replied again. 🫠
The new v3 is the same exact scooter as the v2 except it has a bigger battery I was thinking about buying the new v3 battery and putting it on the v2 the new v3 battery is 52v26ah
That's awesome! After my range test I talked with them for a long time about what they could improve on the scooter and I basically just said put high quality cells in there or more of them. Battery was the only thing holding the scooter back from its full potentia,l as long as you don't need to ride off-road.
@@GingerOnWheels because man my v2 is horrible in range varla did the v3 right although I wished the v3 was atleast a 45-50mph scooter I feel like varla is a little behind on there scooters I also have the eagle one pro and let me tell you it has a 60v27ah battery and man the range is crap on it also voltage sags like crazy I get less than 20 miles, like you said they need better cells but atleast the v3 has lg cells but it's really pointless because it's still a 38-40 mph scooter we usually upgrade our scooter for speed and range what the v3 is missing is the speed because I rode it and it feels the same as the v2 just has a little more torque I wish the v3 was a 45-50 mph scooter

Hey how long did they take to ship? I just ordered mine a few days ago and I'm still waiting for confirmation. I also bought the wide deck option as you did.
Solar eq has an even smaller battery and the headlight placement is lower. I wouldn't trust that adjustable handlebar mech at 40mph. Varla also has got better fenders. I think they are around the same price, too so I'd choose the Varla personally.
@@GingerOnWheels oh i looked at one of your older videos about this scooter and ur display had the eagle one PRO logos on it and i was looking to get myself a regular display instead of the pro i thought you got a regular one
The frame seems big enough to fit a much larger battery in there. I would be willing to keep it at the lower 52v setup if it meant we could have a 35 or 40 amp hour battery. 20.8ah seems a little insufficient for a scooter with this much power.

The 3.0 is coming soon, hopefully you get one to review.
That wide deck option is genius. Giving the customer the ability to chose comfort vs performance is something more scooter companies should do.
Agreed
How does this affect performance? Can't carve as well?
Was a great ride! Where can I pick up that bag and Allen wrench set? Also, which helmet is that?
Any idea when the 3.0 is releasing? I see it says coming soon.
Where do you see that announcement?
I've seen that too on the Varla website through there inventory.

Varla needs to have removed battery set up. And offer bigger battery like 28 AH. And that problem with range would be solved.
