I was surprised Counter Balance was in the list till I got to the part where you brought that up and ironically I was typing this when you mentioned it 😂
Look at this ridiculousness; at the end of an opponents turn, Bosh was untapping with 4 lands in play, 4 lands in hand, nothing else. The draw step was a ponder, and by the end of the next turn, the Bosh hand was Brainstorm, Teferi, Flusterstorm, Force of Will, and Narset, with a fetchland in play. Unreal
I'm on (kind of) a budget. I have this deck, except I only have one tundra and am not going to buy any more duals. Is it worth it keeping the mountain in the SB and going for the red splash without a volcanic island? or would I be better served cutting the red splash entirely. Awesome deck tech BTW!
You could honestly just play Steam Vents. You'll lose sometimes because the 2 life matters, but the red splash is mostly for control mirrors anyway. Also if you dig through my "Signature Decks" playlist you'll find some older straight UW lists with 1 or 0 duals.
"Taking me back to my roots" How long did you jam your beautiful Elves deck into Counter-Top Miracles, trying to make that matchup work, before finally joining the dark side?
Love the vid. Could you talk about your rationale at 23:20 for Swordsing Uro knowing you had Terminus on deck. Is it simply to thin their deck of Uros? Thanks
I found out that's an issue with the free version of the editing software I've been using. I bought a license for a better product and future videos shouldn't have it anymore. I don't remember how many videos with the old software are in the queue, but I've been recording with the new setup for a couple weeks now, so you should see/hear the better ones soon.
What are your thoughts on including some number of Portent/ Preordain in place of or in addition to Predict? I have yet to find the perfect split that I love. I just know I love Portent.
I think raw card advantage is worth more than card selection past the first 8 (Bstorm/Ponder). With Counterbalance you get a lot of top-of-deck info to cash in predicts.
@@jjones5480 I've played with a lot of Portents in my day. I'd rather get 3 cards deeper into my deck than mess with theirs almost all of the time. The Portent "fateseal" comes up, but you do that in games you're already winning.
Played miracles A LOT during my time in legacy. Wouldn’t even hope to state I have more experience, but you sat on that prismatic waaaaay too long. Should’ve happened long before narset.
@@BoshNRoll it was against storm. I am refering to the interaction with Aeve (the green storm legend card) and Dress down. Specifically the ability that makes the tokens non-legends. They had 10 Aeves in play when you lost. If you dressed down it would of been a blow out. I also just want to say I really love your content and have watched for a while now and feel I have learned a lot from your videos. So thank you!
defining silence should not be in this sideboard, it removes the second layer of protection, fluster storm is best against combo, aluren is special case, and must be countered
I disagree completely. Locking combo decks out with prison pieces is a better way to figure them in a deck this slow. They will find a way past counterspells when you give them this much time.

I NEED mystic sanctuary back in modern. It's not legacy playable, not really, it's not modern, historic, or pioneer playable either. It really was just a solid card that made modern control viable. Wtf WotC?!

This was the first deck I ever sleeved up and played for Legacy back in 2012. Love seeing an old archetype come back

Normally I'd just play a counterspell or Dovin's Veto or something, but after playing the league I think CB is good enough in this deck.

That was the front half of Uro. If I Terminus on my turn, they'll still have Uro in the GY to bring back right away.

My average daily youtube watchtime has been anihilated by video essays and mtg leagues. Honestly, im down for a 50 minute deck tech any day now.
