I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Paris. He's so nice and kind and honestly genuine. The dude speaks to you like you're an old friend he hasn't seen for years. If you ever ran into him in Canada don't be afraid to ask for a selfie and autograph. He won't be a douche about it😊😊👍
He's chatted with my bf a few times over email giving advice on his first comp coming up. The support the man gives is just beautiful. he truly deserves the respect hes given these days.
You nailed it I'll include serge nubert for blacks and a young Sergio Olivia Larry Scott .boyer coe chuck sipes .Danny Padilla . Kenneth waller .Kevin leverone
I,ts a shame that he never won the Olympia. Built like a Greek God, just perfect. Face of an Angel, and a very humble man. He had everything to win the Mr Olympia. In 1983 and 1984 he was at his very very best.
Bob was the real deal. I had been following his career and adjusting my workout around Bob’s articles while in the military. years later I got to meet him in person at a seminar and was totally impressed by his knowledge and outlook on bodybuilding. I’m surprised that the legendary Robby Robinson is not mentioned here in the comments alongside Zane and Reeves. Robby’s physique was from another planet - he was way more muscular and symmetrical than Frank Zane. if you do the research you’ll find that Robby’s physique was what Paris admired and inspired to the most. Thanks for the great video.
Usually we all talk about olympia winners and are tend to watch their videos only. But there have been many bodybuilders who never made it to the sando trophy still they are way better than most of them and are graceful to look at. Bob Paris, Shawn ray, Mike mentzer are a few of such bodybuilders . Love and huge respect to them
Like when I see this dudes body I think " yeah, I'd love to look like that". He looks like a bloody sculpture! But when I see body builders today ... I just really wouldn't want to look like that
#he was & is a genius & a very creative soul His physique + his aesthetic soul & his unbelieveble posing talent = obviously: UNIQUE & absolutely Unforgettable 🎯👌♾❕💯👑🔝🔱🔥✊⚠️🆒️💎👍❗⚡💣💥👊👊👊👊👊👊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤝
With 11-12% bf in normal clothes he would still look massive. Aside, this is the kind of guy that would of been an ideal spokesperson for BBing. Nope - they wanted and still want the freak show
What a crying shame that someone in Hollywood didn't put Bob into films when he was at the peak of his physical condition. It would have been even better if a decent screenwriter could have created an original character for him -- a powerfully strong, handsome hero who fights for people who need help (someone like the Equalizer).
I used to see him at the gym, he wasn’t that big but had great symmetry, and he was really nice, it’s a shame that back then a lot of people didn’t approve of him being gay and that hurt his career, which is a shame.
If I had to pick the build to have, I would take Don Howorth, IFBB 1967 Mr America. Athletic, muscular, and NOT overdone. The classical, symmetrical v-taper look!!! Reeves, Zane, and Howorth type build will never go out of style.
Thank you for this video upload. Man, this dude has that 80s all-American handsome look. It’s the straight white teeth and the do (hair-do) which stamps him as a yankee, and his physique wasn’t too shabby either 😀. P.s Twice mina’s beauty rules okay?!

Enduring Aesthetics Think about what you just said . No i will say it for ya .Your Brainwashed into thinking that Steroids are Brilliant . Your a Shit Bag and know nothing about Steve Reeves and his Hatred for Steroids and Drugged up Bodybuilders . Steve Reeves said "If ya cant Build Muscle Naturally take up Ping Pong" . Bob Paris with all of his Steroids did not have the powerful look of Steve Reeves or perfect symmetry 18.5 inch Arms 18.5 inch Neck 18.5 inch Calves .To this day Steve Reeves has not been beat and never will be and he never posed like a Cream Puff
Bob Paris and Steve Reeves were the Best looking Aesthetics EVER!! although Bob Paris was much bigger and Define chiseled so much more than Steve Reeves. They both had the perfect physique! Oh well, in my opinion!! Bob Paris is still the best and he had the future physique as well !!! To B.P. Please stay healthy and safe where you are in 2022. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bob Paris is one of the best aesthetic bodybuilders and he has an excellent posing routine. But we can't say whether he was unlucky because he didn't get a chance to be crowned Mr. Olympia. Because when it comes to competition, it's all about that day. It doesn't matter if you looked good before or after. What matters is what you bring on to the stage on the day of competition. Anything can change. Even one glass of water can change the overall appearance. Some compared Paris with Frank Zane and said if Zane got three Olympia then Paris should have won as well. I can't understand the logic behind it. Most of the videos I saw of Frank Zane was around 240p resolution. I was thinking if Zane is looking shredded and perfect in that resolution then I can't imagine the package he brings to the stage in real time. And we can't say one won and other didn't win. It's all about that day. In modern bodybuilding we had a lot of excellent body builders. But they were competing with some extra ordinary builders. FOR EXAMPLE : RONNIE COLEMAN. Even Flex told in one documentary that he brought his total package to the stage. But when he stood near Ronnie Coleman he knew that he is going to lose. Because he is seeing him Ronnie in real time. So I can't judge the winners or losERS based on a video. One of my old friend had the luck to see Arnold posing in Mr. OLYMPIA. What he told me and I quote "it's not like in video. We need to see on real. Arnold looked like a Greek God and other body builders were never close to him on the stage". These are the words coming from a person who saw the olympia on real time. So I think winners deserved the win and losers need to work hard more. That's all..
To me Bob Paris is the better version of a Frank Zane. A Frank Zane with better arms and legs. Beautiful posing as well. Just like presenting a sculpture. Nice. Motivational far beyond anything than what I've seen in this modern day's open class.
Let’s give it a shot. There was this other Bob Paris tribute video on youtube, 1st result when you would search his name. Anyone knows the channel of this video? I NEED that video as my pre workout next to this. It dissapeared a week ago. Can anyone help me?

Hard to believe that he never won 🏆 a Professional Contest . I was lucky enough to have seen him live on stage at The Ironman Invitational in the early 90's. 💪
He was one of my top favorites in the bodybuilding world but as he was condemned for his lifestyle i stopped my attention to bodybuilding he worked very hard and deserved better
There's not a man on this planet who doesn't want to look like Bob Paris in his prime. Everything about his appearance was just perfect.
I could not agree more. As close to perfect as you can come.
Literally several men...?
True
Had he been straight he would have been alot More popular. He was brave to go on national TV in the 80s with his husband.

Reeves, Zane and Paris - the ideal symmetrical physiques. Great video.
Thank you!

The greatest bodybuilder of all time when it comes to aesthetics.

It's like Frank Zane was a prototype and Bob was the perfected version. Flawless marvel indeed.
Exactly
He is an artist in every way. Through his articulated way of speaking, posing, shape. And presence..
You can really hear it in his voice how intelligent and articulate he is. One of my favorite physiques of all time for sure!
Bob Paris, Francis Benfatto, Shawn Ray and Berry DeMay are still what I see as "bodybuilders" not just mass freaks of today
You have to have Lee Labrada on that list.
I agree! As much as I liked Shawn’s look I thought he was a little too big for his height to have a classic look. He needed size to compete though!

Bob Paris in his last several competitions should be the standard to which today's 'Classic BBing' competitions are judged.
Absolutely, couldn't agree more!
Yes!
The open division should still be like this - there shouldn't be a need for a "classic" division.
It almost is by coincidence
@@epicmemer7543 Disagree. I still quite like seeing mass monsters.
