I went to Harley to get a new FOB for my 2020 and came out with a 2024 Road Glide

Settings for the factory defaults? Are you referring to the security PIN code?

@@pspez I do have another video that explains the ride modes and how to change them. I have also made a spread sheet that I can send you that explains what all the ride modes are and what is different between each. I can email that to you if you give me your email.

Ironic right? Let’s put smaller batteries in the Pan Am! I love mine though. I want to say a fob can still malfunction with a new battery. I unfortunately had one and it took some frustrating time to figure out. If anyone knows they have a new battery and it’s making good contact, the fob sensor itself can be bad. HD just replaced mine.

True, we have seen this a couple times as well. Another thing I heard from another dealer is they have used non harley reputable brand batteries in the PA fobs and they not work. Installed the HD Panasonic battery and it worked fine. Did not understand that but it was a fact.

As a 45 year certified master auto technician it is my understanding that in order to test a battery you must check the voltage under load to test the battery's capacity. When you just check the voltage like you did the battery could still just have very low capacity and give you the full 3.0 v reading but be three days away from not working. Capacity and static voltage tests are not the same thing. You are only testing the battery's ability to put out voltage but NOT the battery's health or in other words capacity. If I have the FOB apart I'm just putting a new one in.
