I KNOW THIS GUY. His channel is Institute of Human Anatomy. I used him during my medical studies and I love him. Dude is very smart and helpful. Surprised he listens to Dave and Team. Small world. Keep it up dude!
I watch his channel all the time. I recognize his voice
@@tugbankert6581 what's his channel
Is it legit
@@ugcamige the institute of human anatomy
@@roolyfe I'm not sure what your definition of legit is but it's a unique perspective inside of the human body
Dude! As a full -time RUclipsr I'm telling you, DUMP THE JOB NOW!!! and go all in! You are making more doing this than any "real" job would EVER pay! You've nailed the niche...go for it!
Would love to know more about your storey. Do you have a video about your journey?
I agree. I'm NOWHERE near his channel size but I'm just over 110K subscribers and make WAY over double of what my jobs have been in the past (even with a bachelors degree).
It never ceases to amaze me how much the callers dance around and never actually answer the questions the hosts ask
Very frustrating but it's because they don't know the information themselves
The IRS will find out what he makes.
His revenue might be fluctuating a bunch during the growth of his channel. Also having a partner join in.. anyway
Now the whole world knows that is why...
This guy seems like he’s put a lot more thought into it than somebody saying “I wanna do RUclips” without a plan. He got the right hosts to talk to. I get the fear but we have a business and it can be really rewarding long term.
Right!
TikTok thinks it's the future, but it won't have the longevity and community that RUclips has provided. Good luck to anyone out there brave enough to venture the RUclips industry. It is not easy, but extremely rewarding to those who commit and grow.
This guy’s channel is my favorite on the entire RUclips, and I’ve learned a lot from his partner and him about my own body and health. Their channel is wonderful!
Hey man, I'm already subscribed to this guy, so whatever he does I support it!
This is my dream too. Everyone wants to be a RUclipsr until they realize how much work and research goes into it
Amen to this and as a youtube watcher I can see clearly who takes the time and who doesn't.
I dont
@@summerforever6736 I don't either, too much work:)
I completely understand his fear. I felt the same way when I quit my job. Though it seems so obvious to do, it's a bit scary not knowing when your next paycheck is. But if I could do it he definitely could. He seems way smarter than me lol
What was your job before? and what did you quit it for?

he guys mentioned the caller could leave PA position at some point. A person in the medical profession has a lot of ongoing learning and certifications to maintain. If the caller leaves, it may be tough to get back in. Plus, his RUclips channel benefits from his working experience.
I thought exactly the same. In the medical profession, to remain up to date, you need a minimum of clinical hours that’s not insignificant & lots of continuing medical education to do. So not as easy to just “jump back in”. I’d see how viable it would be to do the bare minimum to keep certified which should be a fair amount less than he is doing now.
Well done! I love how information is becoming more and more available.
This was well worth listening too! As I continue to grow my channel, I’ve lowered my hours at my job and started dedicating all my spare time into Capital Hunter. Thank you all for sharing!
Content creators typically have a lifespan of 4-7 years. It’s hard to create relevant content that is competitive and keeps people coming back over and over.
I'm 5 years in, 3 of which have been full-time) and I will always have new content to make videos on.
I love that channel! It's excellent to see educational content by trained professional.
The best way this works if you have a good real job first that can sustain you and your family... Do RUclips part time and once your channel takes off you can switch to it full time. And after watching the video it seems like this guy has done that. Good for him. RUclips pays REALLY well IF and only IF you can get good viewership.
So true! Consistency is key. I'm in the process of trying to grow my channel
You nailed it! Definitely the route I took before I went full-time as a content creator.
I think holding the job until the debt is gone is the right way. The only reason I think that is because he said he’s only doing 20 hours. The main job has become the side job but as soon as the debt is gone and he has 10k in his emergency fund, then the traditional job should go
We watch his channel often love those guys!
I'm a PA as well.
I don't know enough about his RUclips channel and how sustainable it could be for the long term
But with still having student loan debt I feel like I would want to keep my thumb on the pulse of clinical medicine for a little while longer until I built up a really really nice pile of cash
Maybe go down to like one shift a month or something like that just so that you're not abandoning clinical practice in case the RUclips thing goes down
But hold on to it until you feel more secure in the RUclips thing long term
Definitely leave and go to RUclips. There are so many other avenues, as well. Patreon, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Twitch, Metacafe, Vevo, Crackle, Veoh. The possibilities are endless. Best of successes to him. 🙏🏾
Maintain the PA certifications, keep up with your CE to stay current. Do RUclips full time and if it ever fails go back to being a PA full time.
I know this guy too! Their channel is unique !
I’m a RUclipsr. Kudos on your success!
You already ARE a full time RUclipsr! You make several times as much on RUclips as your day job. There’s a good chance those 20 hours a week will end up being more valuable working more on RUclips. Nothing to be scared of, you aren’t changing careers, you ALREADY changed careers, you’re just cutting the old side gig!
I heard youtube pay has been going downhill. Also they take like 45% of your earnings no thanks.
Amazing
@@leadnsteel1428 No thanks to $200,-$300K a year personally? You must have one heck of a day job.
I was literally just watching his video on rabies and the placenta!! So cool!! Keep it up brother!!
I’m a fan of the the show! Definitely ditch the job and focus on growing the business!
Do it! New subscriber here! I’m an MD and can’t wait to watch.
I think I've seen that guys channel. Him and his partner do pretty good stuff
This is the the 10% business partnerships that is actually successful and makes sense.
I'd be hesitant to call Dave Ramsey and share my RUclips earnings, because if sponsors saw it they might try to undervalue a brand deal.
Yeah, never publicly share your income
Think he gave a fake number
As long as you're not saying who your sponsors are sharing your income isn't a problem.
Congrats to the three of you and your channels!
No big deal. RUclips "sponsors" try to lowball creators anyway.
😮I wish I could get accreditation for all my hours of watching Utube. There is so much free knowledge out there.
It's not knowledge unless you practice whatever you're watching. it's passive consumption. RUclips is a drug and social media as others. That's why there is no accreditation like that
I did it, you can do it!
He is not going to do bad. He has a great career and can always teach. Win, win situation.
Holy cow!!! Good for this guy!
I would do 10 hrs PA and do the youtube. Always good as a medical professional to keep up your skills. Doing something is easier to go back to rather then doing nothing.
I think if you can get it going then great and go for it but if you dont have a good start dont quit your job
Why do so many callers have such a hard time with the question "what do you make?" The answer is a number, not your life story.
Because all of our lives we have been conditioned to not talk about it. Are you willing to share in the comments how much you make?
@@Youthman $86,222
You can always go back to being a PA. You are in demand in both places. Follow your passion and money. You are right, an irrational fear.
I'm a subscriber to his channel and it's awesome content. Small world indeed!!!
Was expecting the hosts to shutdown his RUclips venture and make him stick to the old, traditional route. So glad I was wrong. But if Dave was there, he probably would've mocked him for his RUclips venture, being an old-fashioned guy.
You are probably right!
I’ve been subscribed to this guy for a while also. As he started describing what he did I became suspicious it was him. Cool hearing him call in.
Good luck Jonathan, love your RUclips channel....stay focused on the debt man!!!
Just need to understand RUclips is completely saturated and Adsense could go away on a whim.
That’s why you don’t put your eggs in one basket you spread out on different social media, create courses, your own website and partnerships
Completely saturated on some topics, not on others. There are niches in RUclips which are not saturated.

This Human Anatomy is a good channel. I've been watching it.
I could have used his help years ago when I was in school.
I'm always amazed when very successful business owners lack the business acumen to answer even the most basic business questions. How do you not know your basic financial figures despite also having a business partner?
That isnt the issue. He knows, exactly, to the penny. The issue is being transparent about income and how that can effect him and his channel.
I love his channel!!!!!! I always watch it!
I love their channel.
Sounds like free promotion for his channel.
Purposely promoting in that manner would be useless. Most of his views are likely obtained by RUclips's recommendation system.
With over 5 million subscribers on his channel, I'd say he's doing alright on his own. The 70K views this video has will only add a handful of new subscribers.
As a youtube creator, I will tell you that RUclips isn’t something you can just quit your job over. You have to build up a RUclips following over time and only when it is large enough can you make a living off of it
The caller has 5.6 million subscribers and making $200 - $300K a year. I think it's safe to say he could easily quit his day job.
Wow that give me incentive to get my youtube channel going cool !
It worked for me…
Congrats!

He doesn't even know how much money he's making from RUclips. He needs to get on top of his income and expense numbers before quitting the PA job.
He can't keep his license if he only does RUclips. Trust me I am an NP and you still have to keep working in the job to maintain your license. He won't keep his license if he only does RUclips. Keep your license Jonathan. The Ramsey doesn't know what it takes to keep your license as a PA!
Yeah I am not sure he needs that license as he is clearly more successful applying that knowledge in a different, a lot more lucrative way
Im trying to start a youtube channel. Mine haven’t gone nuts yet but hopefully one day ill make some bread of youtube
If this is who I think it is, he is so successful at youtube, who cares if he quits his job?

RUclips is good for side money but I would not recommend it for full time. But if you do RUclips full time have back end money. A website, sell merch, sell memberships, stream, ect.
Ppl make millions from RUclips! So why stay at a job, that’s never goin to pay you that?
@@reese85 it's stable money to kill the debt. That's why but we don't know what may happen with the RUclips monies. You get cancelled or they find out his political or social views don't line up they may suppress his exposure.

@@reese85 The top one percent of content creators make millions. The majority do not, and never will.
If you are willing to put in the effort, RUclips is ABSOLUTELY a viable full-time job. I quit my job 3 years ago and make 3x more than I have ever made at a full-time job.
In a practical sense, if you're confident you can live off the content you're making on RUclips, and if you love what you do? No need to ask. You do it. But I'd say if you can do both in a part-time setting, why not? Keep up!
George’s “riches in the niches” comment got me 😂
Wow sounds like a really smart guy
Good advise!
He needed his education to be able to make his videos, so I wouldn't say higher ed is out, but we are headed to a different future. It sounds like his channel is proving good quality and accurate content which is helping students and the general public become more knowledgeable about the human anatomy which is cool and why he's making so much money. I don't know that the average person could make a successful channel the way he did. Also, I wonder what will happen as more people become RUclipsrs and we have more channels to choose from that offer similar content and teaching styles. The big better channels of a type of content will likely dominate smaller budget production, and it will be harder to get a channel off the ground.
Higer ed is good for people who know what they want from it. It's a very expensive place for people to figure out what they want to do.
RUclips's charme is often about personal homemade content. I know a fitness girl who made professionally produced videos for a while, then quickly stopped doing it because people preferred by far the content she made just by herself: exercising in her home gym, cooking in her kitchen, etc... maybe there will always be place for professional and not professional content.
I thought he was going to say something like "don't quit school kids, you still need some higher education to make worthy interesting content" but no, he said the opposite LOL. All the youtubers I follow have higher education. When I was younger I followed people without higher education though.
LOL that face at 2:37 you know where this is going.
There's riches in the niches 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 George, I cannot manage you

"There's riches in the niches"
🤣
Only problem is "niche" should actually be pronounced as "neesh".
In the medical profession, to remain up to date to “jump back in”, you need a minimum of clinical hours that’s not insignificant & lots of continuing medical education. So not as easy to just “jump back in”. I’d see how viable it would be to do the bare minimum to keep certified which should be a fair amount less than he is doing now. Yes i have watched his vids. VERY good!
Why not go for it? It sounds like he enjoys this, and he's making enough to pay the bills, etc. I hope he also sets up a channel on other platforms, too. The more places you can be, the better.
If you give up the PA position at the doc-in-a-box keep up your PANCE.
These kids who think just because they see one person making it on youtube doesnt mean they will to, they need to work real jobs and careers untill they can prove themselves.
Which is exactly what this guy has done. He grew the channel to over 5 million subscribers and makes $300K a year. Of course it's not smart to quick your full-time job to begin a RUclips channel. It does take time to grow it to a full-time income level. But it's certainly doable for anyone willing to put in the time and effort.
This guy sounds like a young tech who used to work in my shop
He loved his job, but quit on me because he saw RUclipsrs like TheStradman and Tavarish standing in front of a Lamborghini and wanted that same level of success without having to work 50 hours a week
Months later he realized he was in over his head, was almost out of money and came back begging for his job.
Normally I would've told someone who burned their bridges like that to get lost, but I gave him a second chance because I knew he'd learned his lesson and now he's training to become a Master Tech specializing in Mopar products
