Hi Jay! YT Creator here. Recently found your channel. You’re a very good and calm interviewer who’s humble and asks the right questions. We really learn a lot from you! Pls don’t change your style!

Sean's audio quality is surprisingly good for a remote interview, I could listen to this for hours. Presumably, Sean recorded his audio on his own computer and sent you the recording afterwards?

The opening explanation about ideal video lengths was so humorously handled in such an entertaining way even though it's so simple. I love that creativity of how he communicated it. Also, about the practicalities of it... well for context, i am just starting out on a brand new channel (not this one, this one doesn't count because it's not monetized and all based on copyrighted content that isn't monetizable) but anyway...
I think it's interesting because I signed up for a RUclips Creator Course that said pretty definitively that the best length for a talking head style video was over 8 min but less than 15 min. They were very specific that around 10 to 12 min is the ideal length.
And i tried to figure out doing that and ended up very naturally writing scripts that are more like half an hour long. That's what comes much more naturally to me and my videos and i expect to start doing videos that length eventually.
But my problem is it will take twice as long to make such a video. And the course is recommending you have 3 videos ready to go to upload during your launch week and then to upload videos at least once a week. And i don't think i can churn out the type of 30 min videos I'm envisioning at a rate of one every single week and 3 the first week. It's just. Too much time invested in each one video to be that frequent. So I'm struggling but trying hard to figure out breaking my RUclips video ideas down into shorter segments.
It feels very reassuring that if i just naturally felt a video deserved to be longer though then. Probably there is enough of a market for that too that it's fine.

Sean use to have a lot of helpful information but now it's all saying a lot without saying nothing at all. Mr Beast has given out a ton of free instruction on how to grow on RUclips and it's simple to follow with no similes.
