Beautiful job. Love the design on the doors. The wallpaper is a nice touch. During these inflationary times, your DIY projects are a real aid to saving a lot of greenbacks.
I love it! I used to build cabinets. My two married daughters were the unfortunate recipients of my love of building cabinets. 🥰 I have since lost my love of making things though.
Great idea! Simple and fun as well as practical. Love the trim detail although it would also look nice (and shave a few more dollars) if you only go partial way across. Thanks!
I really love this Christina, I’m really into this wood look with designs in the front so I may use something similar for a project I’m doing now. Thanks for another great video!
Love this!!!❤️💫❤️ The front is sooo unique yet simple to do. Great hack!! Even for the legs!!! And love the paper on the back inside!!! So Elegant❤️✨❤️
Love the design! You have inspired me! I have one cabinet, on the hunt for a second (I always buy second hand), and want to use them in my dining room to hide away toys. I’ll be painting them green. Love your videos. Always great tips.
OMG! I have to say, this is one of the best ikea hacks I’ve seen! ❤It’s very well done and looks amazing! Going to ikea today to try this. Thanks for sharing!
@@ChristinaMuscari I’m about to age myself, but many many moons ago that cabinet was only $19.00. IKEA was the place you went to when you were young or in college starting out with nothing! It was cheap and you could furnish a whole 1 bedroom apartment for about $300. I miss the 90’s!
Word of advice but a table saw for between $100-200 and cut your own strips! I do that for my accent walls and other projects and you can go a step further and get a cheap or used planer
Another great transformation. And yep all the prices are going up. Could you tell me where did you buy the legs because is not in your description. Thanks.
Love this, especially what you did to the doors!! I have the same one assembled and waiting for me to create something. Since the top and bottom have the slightly raised side panels (where you needed to put the washers), I was thinking of maybe sanding down the raised part and even putting a little filler where the screws are. Do you think that would work out well?
Do you do consulting work? I have a plain unfinished pine dresser, but is has a unique shape. I don't even know where to start. I just want to send you a picture and you tell me exactly what to do with it. Ha!
hi! how did you anchor yours to the wall with the pieces provided? i have a gap between my cabinet and wall and i’m trying to figure out how i’m going to anchor it without it leaning backwards since the screws aren’t super long
Stained wood is not protected in any way. Grabbing the wooden doors for opening, placing stuff on top, any moisture will likely lead to grubby stains. I'd always recommend a clear finish on top. One of the pains of the cabinets for me are the screws that are visible from the side. I don't know why they construct it like this, with the sides sticking up and the top in between the side pieces.
Any idea how many 4-foot lengths you bought for this? My 4 Ivars are assembled and since these are only available online at Home Depot, I'm trying to see how many I'd need to order. Many dankes!
I love the staggered fluting. What a great look.

I love the staggering of the trim
Watching from Melbourne Australia. Been a customer since the time they opened their first store in Melbourne. The products offer top value for money.

That is awesome! I want to learn how to build!
The sculptural furniture is the new trend and looks great. 👍❤️❤️
I love the way it looks!! The cabinet was so plain before you did this makeover. Great job!!!
Thanks so much! 😊

So pretty. And thank you for talking about the cost.
I have these cabinets in my studio. I still have not done anything with them. You made it look amazing! Love this one.

Pro tip; you can stack and cut those pieces at one time, also ensuring the same cut.
Great design! I will definitely try this look on one of my piece.

Great project!! So pretty!

Can you make a video on how to choose good pieces that have the potential to be restored for beginners? And what kinds of materials should be avoided.

Hi , Christina this is Margi in Phoenix!

I can't remember. 😬 But they are in store if you want to go check them out.
Woww
helppp I am looking for a cabinet with a slat design but then in a sunrise shape. I looked EVERYWHERE. Has anyone seen it?
The caninet is now $130. 😮
New sub! Liked 🙏👍🚀
I refuse to do any ikea hacks or to ever acquire a piece of their furniture. Not even for free. You did a beautiful job as always though!
The item can be used as unisex for either girl or boy.
For sure!
That IVAR cabinet is now $130 😅😅😅😅😅😭😭😭😭
Love it!
