Thank you! The molding is where most of the expense is and you totally don’t need it. You could stain the piece and be done. But I love the molding and doing it this Wayne’s totally cheaper than building from scratch. 🍊

Just FYI, you do not need to unscrew the ikea concealed hinges. They unsnap from the base plate. This way it's easy to remove the doors after they have been adjusted for fit.

You did an amazing and patient job .the result is gorgeous!. I love IKEA Ivar system. You can DIY in so many different ways. it s not to expensive and it s natural pine wood so you can custom and finish it the way you want. I have many project done with Ivar and still perfect and still love it. I wish IKEA will keep those items because I realise that they have reduce the sail of simple and cheap price natural wood item in there collection. What a big regrets for all IKEA Diyers!

No IKEA did not get rid of Ivar system.
But these last years I notice that they reduce many other items in natural pine wood like Tarva with its simple chest of drawers that was famous for being "DIYed! ".it is so sad because I love to imagine how I can turn out furniture by painting or adding details ect ..hope IKEA in future will increase new models of furniture in simple pine wood to be finished the way you want.fortunatly we still have IVAR serie that offer so many possibilities.
