It's funny how some things in your life resonate. They hit a spot in your heart and spirit. It is always beyond description. All of a sudden. Like when the Tom Berenger character suddenly gets that rhythm. That style of playing. It all gels. Eddie and the Cruisers and its follow up sequel had moments like that. More importantly, it had the music which rocked. Made you move. Joyfully. As a wannabe but never did musician I get those moments. That feeling in the music. That music. It is infectious. I love those moments when Wendell like when starts riffing on that sax. Almost everyone joins in except for Joe Pantoliano - who is always so great at playing a creepazoid character. I knew people like these folks. Who just lived for the music. Pare played his part perfectly. I also know that initial scene moment when Berenger hears the tribute band with Sal - which rings hollow compared to what he remembered - thegreat times he had, and the people he knew. Nothing beats those memories. And those feelings. Thank you, Armen, for this post.
The two movies were great. Watched them when they came out in theaters. It was great back then. Just like star wars..waiting till the next one came on standing in line. ❤❤

John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band was my 1st concert. My parents took me to a bar to see them some time around 1996 when I was in my early teens, and damn they were good! Concert changed my life in how I experience music.
This movie was one of my favorites back during my freshman year at Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan back in 1984. John Caffertys music was part of my college soundtrack. And four years later, Eddie & The Cruisers 2 came out with more of Cafferys music to end my college years EDDIE LIVES!!
When I saw this movie it had drama ,mystery, and great rock and roll music. Love everything about it I thought it was based on a true story the ending bugged the hell out of me.
An old friend of mine had a silly sort of obsession with this scene, which I shared. Makes me think of him every time I see it. I wish he was still here.
Some of the major scenes for these movies were filmed in Somers Point, NJ. It was pretty exciting at the time. Six of my close friends and the 57 Chevey that was owned by one of them were in the movie and they had a ball.
Tom Berenger's second movie, following "Looking For Mr Goodbar" with Diane Keaton. Michael Pare "was" Eddie. That was the role he was meant to play. Think this was Ellen Barkin's 2nd or 3rd movie after her breakout "Diner" in '82. Michael Antunes, Wendell, the sax player, was a member of 'John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band', that supplied the Cruisers music. Love this movie.

This took me WAAAYYYYYY back!! This was the unofficial theme song for the class of ‘85 at my HS…Good times.
I loved this soundtrack
What's incredible is that this movie was a bomb at the box office . Lasted only 3 weeks at the box office . HBO picked it up and it took off
At college in 1984 I had a telecaster I played through a Fender bass amp and somehow I managed to dial the amp in to sound just like this record.
An old friend of mine had a silly sort of obsession with this scene, which I shared. Makes me think of him every time I see it. I wish he was still here.
Putting it together! ☺️🤗❤️
Words and music man... Words and music... 🤞🤞
Eddie and the Cruisers!! Great movie.
Hello Kathryn, how are you doing today, hope you’re fine and safe from the Virus??
2024 and still good stuff - saw the band in Hays, KS over Octoberfest, kick ass concert!
Blast from the past
Eddie and the Cruisers were one of the best sounds back in the day. Then thr tale that Eddie disappeared, just great to hear that great sound again
Some of the major scenes for these movies were filmed in Somers Point, NJ. It was pretty exciting at the time. Six of my close friends and the 57 Chevey that was owned by one of them were in the movie and they had a ball.
It's always been about the bones of a song.
The Tempo.
When you hear these songs u go right back to this movie.the exact scenes. U never will get tire of listening to this music or the memories with it
Tom Berenger's second movie, following "Looking For Mr Goodbar" with Diane Keaton.
Wow, you can do a simple Google search. Good for you.
@@ronmiller7248 So, what's your problem? Troll
I actually forgot Tom was in this until I watched this scene. 😅
Words and music!!
