hey man! love your covers. last week I unlocked my scream and I'm quite hoarse now (can't do falsetto, but who the fuck cares about that) I would say that it's the same technique as you. doesn't hurt at all when doing the scream since I've been singing a few years so I know how to breath. my question: did you also get hoarse at first? is it normal or am I doing something wrong? thanks! and do people = shit:D
I always panic when I lose my falsetto, because that means I'm using my throat too much rather than my gut. The way I know I'm doing it right for me, is when I do a Slipknot/screaming song and afterwards I try to sing something high with my falsetto, if I can still sing with that and hit high notes with it, then I know I'm putting all the focus of my growls and screams with my gut. You just have to 'feel' that it's right, but I can only speak for me when it comes to that.
