Celery juice is high FODMAP (p=polyols) as it contains a high concentration of Mannitol. When juiced, it would be drastically concentrated. 1/3 of a celery stalk is the maximum serving size of those avoiding FODMAPs. Nobody mentions this when touting celery juice as the cure for GI issues.
The same goes for cabbage, with it bein high in Oligosaccharides, specifically Fructan.

This could be misunderstood! Vitamin U is not a vitamin, but an amino acid derivative. Its function has been studied since the 1930s. It is often used as an adjunct treatment for patients with ulcers. With high active ingredient content, it effectively supports the health and regeneration of the intestinal mucosa and accelerates the healing of gastric ulcers. It has a beneficial effect on excessive production of stomach acid and reflux. Its effect will also interest people prone to stomach and duodenal ulcers.

While I still would have acid reflux it wasn't as severe. I literally lived on that for several years along with apples & peanut butter, boiled cauliflower & small amounts of mashed potatos (only foods that never seemed to make it worse). It more or less finally went away, but when my tummy or intestinal tract acts up, my body seems to want cabbage. Now I know why!!! I think I'm going to start juicing w/this now as my intestinal track is so messed up as I finally succumbed to drugs to help with the horrible pain I was in & now I'm paying for it with other issues caused by the drugs. First.. Thanks for the explanation about cabbages.
I'm struggling with inflammation in the colon since december/2020, when I got colite because of the covid/19 and I took antibiotics at that moment.
But, the inflammation requires what we call " sulfassalazina 500mg", here in Brazil.
So, since that time, I use sulfassalazina and I'm trying to get better using fruits and vegetables.
Now, I'm really feeling much better with papaya for dinner everyday, 3 or 4 dates for three times per week and, for certains periods, one spoon of turmeric in one glass of water, tonight.
    Hugs... Brazil.

Is your health issues in your DNA or your dinner pot.
The solution could be in the dinner pot if you juice cabbage into it.
I had serious health issues a few years back. I did raw smoothie. With lots of cabbage and other greens. It takes time around three months to see good improvements. The change was incredible. Why today I used dandelion flowers four dandelion leaves and a big lot of nettle leaves. A beetroot some grapes, apple juice and water.

She did 4 days of the cabbage juice and rested her gut for 3 days. It took her a month or a little bit over that and her IBS is gone. She does nothing to maintain it now, and it's been a year and still no signs of ever having it. So keep in mind you will probably need longer than two weeks. She just kept going with it until her symptoms subsided. Good luck on your journey to healing. Just know it can be done naturally.

i really WAS really glad i watched this, ive had gut pain for years, i have been watching your videos for quite a while now, but found out i have a b1 deficiency through your videos, i had issues with my vagus nerve, the intestine pain, anger, brain fog and memory issues, which i picked up a daily dose b complex (about 1/10th the amount in a complex 100) for, basically daily doses of b1 b2 b6 and b12 with vitamin c and niacinamide, and a couple others i cant pronounce, lol and it made me feel so much better, just like a wave of calm and a feeling of wellness you usually get when youve been deficient for far too long, but i found this and thought "you know what, he was right about the b1, i bet this will help too", i took one cup, about 1/8th of a cabbage blended into some water (god it was awful but it worked wonders, within an hour and a half to two hours i was already feeling relief of the pain) and with the pain the inflammation normally caused, i will definitely be taking this more often to see just how much it can fix, however probably with a bit less cabbage next time lol, and if anyone is experiencing gut pain that they cant figure out, this is a good idea to atleast test out, the taste may be bad, but just remember the pain was worse, and i wish you all good health, and thank you again dr. berg, i never would have got this sort of information, or help from most doctors that i can actually afford to do on my meager budget
