Probiotics do not work and there is zero evidence in studies that it does. It's a well known scam.

When I was just 21 months old 60+ years ago, my appendix burst and sepsis set in. That was the beginning of my gut issues. Three years ago I was hospitalized with ischemic ulcerated colitis with all of the above symptoms listed. The doctors were able to heal it. Mid September this year, I was once again hospitalized with the same thing, only so much more debilitating. I was on the way to checking out. I was life-flighted me a trauma hospital. The trauma surgeon was able to save enough colon to give me a somewhat normal life without a colostomy. My life will never be the same with just approximately 22 inches of my colon left. I don't feel hunger, but I feel pain. Depression, pain, insomnia, tiredness, weakness, infections are my life now. I am not sure I could have prevented what was a life-long condition. I wish I could have.

I’m so so sorry you’ve gone through all of this! Family member has UC and he is on a carnivore diet. Did you know that red meat has the highest amount of Glutamine? Glutamine heals the gut. It is the #1 most anti-inflammatory food. Watch Dr. Berg. He highly recommends this for UC.😊

@@ASpectacular3777 I love Dr. Berg. I watched his videos everyday. I need to go on the carnivore eating plan. I am just unsure how it will effect the remaining couple feet of my colon. I guess I won't know until I know. Thank you for caring. I appreciate it.❤

@@rockhunterjens7884 Watch YT channel CarnivoreKent. He had an interview with Dr. Ken Berry. He is a young man who unfortunately did have to have his colon removed and has an Ostomy bag. when he eats pure carnivore (meat) there is nothing in his bag. Meaning, all is absorbed in his stomach and small intestine. When he eats a mushroom, he sees it in his ostomy bag. So he IS a study of PROOF that carnivore is absorbed/utilized by the body that it NEVER GETS to the colon to aggravate it, allowing COLON to rest and heal. Get your Vitamin D3 levels checked. Get out in the sun every day! UC is an auto-immune disease and is known to occur in people low in Vit D. Vitamin D is anti-inflammatory. Also, a great video that JUST came out is an interview with Nick Norwich by RUclips channel: METABOLIC MIND. Nick has UC and he is a PhD and has done his own studies on how carnivore is helping those with all forms of IBD. There was an article published in The Daily Mail yesterday about his ground breaking research! So look up his channel as well: Nick Norwitz PhD. All the best

Thanks to you my daughter only suffered from severe pain and inflammation for a few months after she was diagnosed with IBD U-C. She did the meal replacement with a multivitamen and multi-strain probiotic, but I can't remember the first one we used.
Three months after your recommendations my baby moves one more step into remission! Thanks for giving us hope!
Her BMs have gone from one or two little rocks to three logs (I can't believe I'm getting excited about BMs 😊). They are still a bit cracked and we can't really pinpoint a pain level as she is still having her periods, which has always been painful.
We see the gastrologist just before the middle of November and I can already hear him saying that he does not see the need for my daughter to see him. 😊 But it will be nice for us to hear him to say it. I'm elated!
My daughter's story could also have been like sooo many other people's with GI issues that suffer for years, if not decades.
Her energy level is off the chart. She is like the Energizer bunny. It's probably due to hyper-nourishing foods plus supplements. Now she can catch up on her school year again 🎉. I'm sticking with the Feingold diet and I'm hoping to keep her on something akin to a gluten-free Mediterranean diet.🤩
Me time now. Looking after my daughter has impacted my health a bit too. 💅🧘‍♀️💆🏽‍♀️🛀
💬 Please speak about how to stay in remission.🤞
    Great explanation of UC 👏👏👏

My daughter did not have diarrhea so much. Her problems had more to do with constipation, dizzy spells, gluten sensitivity / celiac disease, a sudden lactose intolerance, sneezing attacks, and cognitive issues at school.
Even though her GI tract has healed now, we are still struggling with fixing the weight loss issue. She has cravings for starchy, sugary foods, most include refined flour or emulsifiers, which is a problem for me to watch her eat.
She hates protein shakes and smoothies (autistic texture sensitivities) seemingly. Fast metabolism runs in the family as youngsters 😂 but causes problems later on approaching menopause. I don't want her to suffer from wrong food choice habits later.

Dr. Ruscio thank you for your informative video. I just got diagnosed with colitis and I get confused with all the diet information due to the fact that I was tested 5-8 years ago with food allergies but the doctor didn't address that only the environmental ones and I was taking injections (no injections) currently.....so, all the good things they say to eat I'm supposed to be allergic to. Most nuts, garlic, ginger. I'm lactose also and have had acid reflux for years, have reflux under control with ginger even though I'm supposed to be allergic....Used acid reflux medicine for 27 years and Finally said enough is enough. Question is how to work around allergies, have not seen that necessarily addressed in videos of this nature on colitis. Thanks for and help out there.

Could availability of medical care influence your world map of ibd frequency? It would be usefully to see how many people, population percentage, in the low incident areas have had a colonoscopy in the past year. And how many people in the high incident areas have colonoscopies, population percentage. Otherwise your map is a diagram of easier access to modern medicine . Rocket surgery.
