    If you haven't yet, can you address the issue of probiotic intolerance and when we should take them even if we seem to react to them? As I understand it, many of the beneficial bacteria are causing a histamine reaction due to poor health but a healthy gut won't react. So should we power through a period of reactivity to get to the other side?

    • @johnosullivan6439
      @johnosullivan6439 Год назад +1

      The amount of histamine produced by probiotics is very small. What was causing my histamine intolerance was gluten - when I went gluten-free and took so-called 'histamine-producing' probiotics, I had no adverse reactions AND I was able to stop taking antihistamine medication a few weeks later.

I had 12 polyps removed with inflammation in small and large intestines. I still have not received a pathology report. And after the procedure she told me I never needed a colonoscopy again. 😡 opposite of my other Dr. Needless to say I will never go back to her.

I’m taking all three types of probiotics at once, as I have tried taking two of the three separately before (not the soil based), and I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to take all three at once and if so, how long should I take them for? I do believe in probiotics and I’m wondering if I can continue this for the foreseeable future? Or if I would only need one type for the foreseeable future as it does get costly. also, in regards to prebiotics, I do use a Monash University certified prebiotic fiber. You can test your stomach acid by drinking a glass of water with a t spoonful of bicarb of soda in it. If you burp straight away, you've good stomach acid. If it takes a while or doesn't happen, you've low stomach acid. In my experience, it was too low and I was getting reflux while I slept, probably because the stomach sphincter wasn't triggered to close due to low acid levels. My teeth were being ruined. Upping magnesium levels stopped that happening. Hope this helps!
