By far my favorite AR mags! I have a pile of both aluminum and stainless Duramags. So reliable, and they jump out of the mag well when you press the release.
Just picked up my first two Duramags a few days ago in "OD" - I think I found my new favorite brand! If DM keeps putting out the M81s and Tiger Stripes, people (like me) will keep buying them!
Aluminum mags are vastly superior to synthetic. Aluminum STANAG mags have to pass a very rigorous testing regimen to be accepted. No Polymer mag will ever survive it. To justify adopting PMAGs, the Army dropped all requirements but simple reliability. Couldn't even keep the adverse condition reliability tests. 🤠
@@donwyoming1936 Metal mags dent, polymer mags don't. The gen3 pmag is probably the best magazine designed for any gun ever. I like duramags tho. As long as you pick a good reliable stanag mag then I can understand liking them more then polymer. The pmag still reigns supreme imo tho
I think it would take the community by storm if we could custom order them. You wouldn't need to keep any stock, and we could match our mags to our rifles regardless of whether we have a standard camo or even something crazy. I'd be happy to pay extra to custom order a mag. That would definitely be a premium product and a concept that would be silly not to look into.

I use CPD/Dura-Mag 7.62X39 mags in my Robinson Armament XCR-L. They just work. Most reliable x39 STANAG magazines on the market. Would love to x39 mags in FDE!!!
It would be great if we could get that stainless mags in FDE besides black. Especially for those that live in the sunshine states. Anything black gets hot as fook.
At what extra cost to the consumer for new anodised mags. Some people may not think this but to us poors, "Mags" are expensive enough without an "extra cost" just for a color option.
The last time I saw them, the fancy patterned anodized mags were in the $30 range, so not something to stock up on. Their single color mags aren't bad at $10-$15 depending on the popularity of the specific color.
This sounds like hydro dipping with extra steps...... Its cool, but like have you made the mags go to war bomb proof. The x39 AR mags I wont even us them for hunting and I have had multiple follower tilt failures durring mobile and static training in my other calibers. Its not hate, its just real world questions, facts and feed back. @durramag.
@@whelper4231 well hydro dip is not paint. Its a chemically activited and bonded film. Painting the water and dipping something in ii, isn't hydro dipping its another form od spray painting.

I can definitely see the value of seeing generally how many round you have in your mag visually. But I don't think it's make or break for it being a good mag lol
Is there any reason that a metal mag couldn't have a small cut out for a partial window, then have the follower in a brighter color to indicate round count?

There is a way to make aluminum ie alloys transparent look it up.

I always felt polymer mags were pretty much superior but he is selling me on their steel ones. And they look cool too.
HK Maritime Mags are stainless steel and the best in the world, hands down.

Hydro dipping is paint. These are anodized using masking to make the pattern.
