My school is known for gang activity more so compared to other schools in the area back in the 80s. Now it's okay and the running joke is that we haven't had a drive-by in years. Each of the high schools had their own reputation; one was poor, the other one had rich kids, the other one was the drug dealer school and mine was the gang banger School. But while I was there the worst that happened was a couple of liquor store robberies across the street, shots fired, and going into lockdown. We could hear the shots from the classroom.

I feel bad for many of the kids that are willing to learn at that school. My school isn't nearly one of the worse, but I personally am scared to go to school. I'm afraid of being a victim of something big. I've been bullied since elementary school, I just started 8th grade today. It's still going on. Someone even scratched my neck, and attempted to push me down the stairs. Bad news? She wasn't caught and nothing happened. Why? There was no cameras. There was still evidence. A broken binder, scratches on my neck. Still, nothing happened. Luckily after this year I'm going to a highschool that will be safe and more career/college-driven.

This video made a tough looking guy whose name is kristopher with a k, made him thankful that he goes to Plano West Senior High School in Plano,Texas. I'm proud of him for saying that. Plano West Senior HIgh School is one of the best high schools in this country according to newsweek, at least in public school terms.

This principal is one of the nicest people I’ve seen on RUclips. She willing to get herself hurt or even killed for the students she loves, that’s heartwarming.
My brother and I went to school here. It was hard times but I loved it and it made me a better man. I will always remember growing up in Mansion.
It was pleasing to my ears when I heard the Principal say they would not accept any excuses for failure.......that's it "No excuse for negative or bad behavior "

i actually kinda want to go to this school... sounds like a good experience to help teach me the opportunity of proper education that i am lucky to already have.
Honestly prince it is...i went to a school just like this..a continueation school...every day we got searched...10 cops always on campus..1-4 fights every day...weve had 5 guns on campus last year...but at the end of the day..you learn how to meet the people that arnt there to be thugs and gangmembers..u meet people who are out there begging for help to graduate...im not poor..i was kicked out of my old highschool..but i enjoyed it..i graduated and walked with one of the best kids out there that i can call my friends..

I feel so ashamed. It is tragic to see kids who want to learn have to go through things like this. Growing up in the "slums" of Harrisburg, I thought I had it bad...this puts everything into perspective.
For god sak it has nothing to do with the fact that they are black. Why is anyone focusing on that anyway? Bless those poor children, espcially the ones who wish to do something with their lives. And that girl who was protecting the journalist is amazing. Does anyone know where I caould perhaps fid the documentory? x
