- Christine Holland, then a senior, was part of the special ABC News "Hidden America" report on Strawberry Mansion High School.
I’m soooooo proud of the young lady that graduated. She took full advantage of that scholarship. I was wondering if she graduated. Yes sis!!! A degree in accounting, she will be able to send her kids wherever they want to go, I hope she pays it forward.
I am proud of you!!!!!
@Chris Nguyen gtfoh you coronavirus punk!
@@SunRaeeeee gtfo you racist!
@@Bunmamtomkya ikr
“We don’t want nobody hitting Diane all of y’all back up”
Gabrielle Johnson I loved her
I loved her too!! Wonder how she’s doing
ikr omg
idk, diane could use a push or two
But what happen to the girl where her dad was the only one to show up ? that was a very good story in the first airing
She went to college on full scholarship and to got science bachelor’s and another scholarship
Mini Pony wow good for her
Charlie Velasquez what's her full name?
Mini Pony
I was wondering thank God for her
OneLove Lawn LLC that was so special to me
Greatest principal of all time
@M Detlef Wow, you're an absolute scumbag.
fr tho FACTS
Thank God for the dad that was there for his daughter.
God bless that principal, Diane Sawyer and those who contributed to the plight of that school. Above all, to Drake who among many rappers prove that rap music is not all about negativity. Many rappers give back to their communities. Much success to all those students who strive to educate and better themselves.
You are right. A friend of mine daughter attended Howard Univ. She received help from Jayz. Now she is a lawyer with Google in Cali
@Yoshi Tekashi
It sends a message that people believe in them and want to help. Rapper, doctor...money is needed and saves lives..
I am happy for that young lady who got her scholarships😢
This made me so emotional. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this school.
Wow. A college graduate now. God bless her!!
YEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!I AM SO HAPPY FOR THEM!!!THIS BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES!!
College deposit fees are unnecessary. The fact that it took an opportunity away from someone because they cannot afford to pay is insane. 😔
I understand the deposit fees because each college has thousands of applicants for only a few spots and the deposit is the only way to ensure that spot.
I'm not gonna lie my eyes got watery
Tee High mine did too
Jesus! This warmed my heart! I hope all of them at least graduated from high school.
That's the problem. Parents they expect the school to raise their kids. They have to do their part also. One parent at meeting says everything
That principal is the best ever she even inspires me to do better. I like the quote she said “if you give kids hope they can succeed”
It's amazing how a bit of exposure helps. These kids lives have been changed and in a way, saved. Awesome
Amazing what “sharing the wealth” can do to change a small community and an individuals life, especially to those less fortunate or unable to leave poverty.
Yeah it's amazing that only one ABC News special aired and it brought so much positive change to that school.
drake is a beast, so sweet of him to do that
Right! I was super surprised! Their school has totally turned around!
Idalys Abrahams n
Funny thing is this is meek mill old highschool
I’m in tears the things people take for granted this story really moved me.
What a wonderful person that principal is I started to cry when she whispered I love you💔
Im literally crying. That principal deserves love and hugs. a noble prize. Kids born into unfortunate circumstances should recieve assistance and resources. Seeing her graduate brought tears to my eyes. so well deservedd
Congrats honey! Her smile is amazing!! So glad she went to college.
I'm crying 😭😭😭😭
Did anyone notice that guys hat at 6:31?😂
Team 3 lol he will go down in history
soond noods
Isabella 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm just noticing this😂
I can't make out what he wrote on it. Help please?
Great job. Schools are supposed to be safe places to learn, not a war zone. Here's hoping Strawberry Mansion - and many other schools like it - continue to improve.
Why don’t they have different lunch periods?!?!?!
I live around the corner from the school... I was told that the the school enrollment could be 1200 was less than 100..I guess there wasn't enough students to have different lunch periods
Beautiful principal with an amazing heart. Drake was amazing too. I almost cried at what he did. If you kids who went and still attend this school are reading this. Keep moving forward, to not only make your lives better, but the lives and happiness of others better aswell.
we need to see more stories like this and more encouragement because a lot of kids are struggling to get to college and get through college or even eat through college!! so to see this gave me a little bit more faith in humanity!!
It was so hard not to cry while watching this. I have never seen schools this bad in England but I am extremely happy for all the students that were able to feel noticed. I wish them happiness and success in life! Honestly I wish I knew about the donations beforehand. In the UK we don't have to worry so much about paying for university since there is always student loans or alternatives to university like apprenticeships which still results in a degree.
That is how we help our own, EDUCATION kudos to this principle God bless you mum
God bless her. This melted my heart. A strong, beautiful, determined, persevering young woman she got that diploma and you could tell by the look on her face when she was walking down the aisle that she grew significantly as an individual thru that entire journey... these kids are stronger than anyone will ever know. Pushing thru each and every day despite the challenges/struggles they face. God bless, Dios put your blessings on these children and this community and the adults who do their part
I'm a teacher and I'm crying watching this
I could not help but get emotional, what a great principal, I have so much admiration for her, one parent turned up for teacher parent day, that speaks volumes. My heart goes out to those pupils.
looking for them better days. God is Good...
Joel Sotelo your god is dead no one is listening to your prayers
i am sick and tired of you type of people responding to people who are talking about god. if you didn't like that comment dont comment at all
Ashley Dey fuck you and fuck your god
Ashley Dey when did I say I was a atheist lol
Silence The God emmantreele our god will never die! Shut up dude!!
yess... so happy for her
6:30 the writing on that dude's hat.... 😂😂😂
Thank u to who ever blessed them all, Thank u Ms,Linda all because u really cared
God Bless this principal..this shows what love and commitment can do
I'm so touched by this!!! Best wishes to the kids there!
That is so strange that the entire school has lunch at the same time. I've never ever heard of that before! That needs to be changed asap!!!
That was so sweet and touching of Linda Cliatt-Wayman to be Razzaq’s mentor after transferring schools and moving out of the city and for her to visit Christine at her college graduation. We need WAY MORE principals like her that show love, brave, gratitude, motivation, and care to students!!!
Blessings for this school and the principal. Much blessings!
I never watched the second part of this I am in tears oh my goodness I went to Philadelphia I loved it it’s rough but it made me appreciate where I’m at right now Orlando Florida. I also love the fact that these teachers did not give up and they were able to tell their story look even Drake was on there that one there really got me crying.
wow....beautiful story!!!! heroes....our future is bright!!! one person and a community truly can make a difference in someone's life. God's love and blessings!!!
Such a beautiful story. ONLY GOD can put it on someone's heart like this principal to make a difference in these students' lives so they could succeed. Congratulations to Christina as well. I wish them all the best.
My TEARS DROPPED when i saw her graduate in college... congratulation
Oh I just watched this the other day the old one, awesome to see this
👋🏾🙏🏾✊🏾🔥 The principle is amazing. It does it take a whole army, sometimes it takes one individual to come forth and care. I give my sister kudos all day. Also I’m very thankful for all the people that cared about these kids and prayed for these kids.
Thank you world!
I'm so happy for Thank You All For Helping that young lady Christina Holland who is wonderful guests and she deserved because she was a hard worker ..God Bless Y'all
Philly will always be my home.. Its nice to see people helping our youth
This just shows you how much that if you believe in yourself you can do it.
Thanks for those who have helped!
Wow, tears in my eyes!
This shows we can help people find a way back if they want it. We can get rid of the problems if we try and care.
FANTASTIC,!! I've got more happy tears! Xx
Such a powerful story!
Omg I was hoping she ended up successful! Good for her 💕.
I knew she would be okay. You go girl!
Watched part 1 and part 2. I’m in tears. I’m glad the school is no longer dangerous. 🙏🏻🥲
Wow, now I'm crying with these graduates!
Drake should’ve done gods plan music video in this school
That girl Malaysia should have been given a transfer or a scholarship to attend a private high school
I began crying. Really touched my heart. Thank you Jesus.
This is heart warming
True inspiration ❤️
Not a Drake fan, but that was dope what he did.
I love this! We need more stories and reports like this so we can continue to help students that need it!
That principle made me cry, so pure

That is hard to believe only one parent showed up for conferences. At my children’s school parent teacher conferences are packed with parents.
super heartfelt moment until you see the guy's cap at 6:30 say 'Send Nudes' hahahaha
Jazmin Lee I guess they had to lighten it up a little was getting too misty in there lol
