I've been told that 35° is the optimal angle for a cutting edge. That was from a old woodworking guy who was hosted a class out of his woodshp that I went to some time ago now. I can say, he had the sharpest chisles I've ever held. And the most impressive wood working building that exists on the east coast

The problem with Dremel stones is they don’t wear down evenly so you wind up with a concave shape which is no good. I use the sanding drums instead and they wear straight across.

I would not use the Dremmel for my Felco gardening tools. But for my lawnmower for sure. Or a shovel.

What speed did you sharpen at?

Use whatever speed you are most comfortable handling. Somewhere between a 4 and 10 would be good. I used an 8 or 9.
