@@BOBANDVEG Heaviest album? I mean every album has their heavy tracks.. but I'd probably say The Afterman (both parts) songs like Vic the Butcher, The Hard Sell, Hollywood the Cracked. Those albums can get pretty heavy !
The song Atlas was released a couple of months before my 1st son was born. And it became an anthem for this fresh father. I believe IRL, both songs (Atlas and Rise Naianasha) are essentially songs from Claudio to the real Atlas, his son who had just been born/was on the way around the time Atlas the song came out. In the lore, there is no lore for Atlas because TCBTS wasn't part of the concept, it was raw Claudio energy, and I don't think we have the official lore yet but I'm fairly sure based on what we do know from the first Vaxis album that this one's probably (in-universe) a song from either Nia/Sister Spider (Nia could be short for Naianasha?) or Nostrand/Creature, assumed to be the parents of Vaxis in the lore (given how the first Vaxis album 'begins with them' like the character of Vaxis says, and the whole thing is supposed to 'end(s) with me, their son, Vaxis'), to Vaxis who is said to be catatonic from what I recall for at least a portion of the second Vaxis album from which this single comes.

This song has a great contrast with a theme that I think lurked in the story of Coheed's earlier albums, really only coming to the surface once they were adapted into comics, of Coheed K. and Inferno having failed their children. Inferno especially was never a good enough parent to tell any of his children anything remotely like "Just call me and I'll be there." Coheed may have been at one point, but his mistakes in SSTB quite literally haunt Claudio K. for the rest of the saga. I love to see the band flip all that around in this song, especially since Claudio S. is writing this all from his new(-ish) perspective as a father. It really highlights his growth.
you're assuming you understand what it's about, but it's a little early to be making assumptions. just as an example, Claudio kilganon could be The Great Destroyer, which would connect this back to the earlier storyline and tying things together, because remember this is still a part of that bigger story, and it needs to connect back up.
@@better.better it's possible, but this story has already show cased that the heroine and hero of this story have a child. So this is more than likely a pivotal point in the story for their son. I moved to China nearly 11 years ago, and for the first time in my life, was in a different world. Second Stage Turbine Blade and My Brother’s Blood Machine became my soundtracks to the wonder, excitement, and fear I found in this place. And as my time here progressed, C&C helped give voice and beautiful music to my experience. Now that I’m a husband and a father, we’re embarking on another adventure soon, and this song really hits home for me, a ballad to a child from his father (I know there is a narrative beyond that knowing their story-teller style) and so poetically put into words what goes through our minds. Through this song; it seems like for me, the soundtrack to my life has come full circle. Thank you dudes. For everything you’ve done.🙏

I can't stop smiling. This song was so beautiful and delightful. Keep on killing it guys gonna be your best album yet!
Claudio’s birthday is coming up! I always remember his birthday since we both have the same birthday haha listening to them since my college days until today!
I really think Coheed write some of the best hooks in music. There’s a sincerity behind it too that makes them so effortlessly palatable… I love this band.
Shoulders and now this! The new album is going to fucking SLAP!!!
Wasn't expecting to cry to music this morning but here I am. This song is amazing and I just sent it to my own son. Love this band so much. 🤘🖤
This video shows we all need at least a trilogies worth of Amory Wars movies.. computer game.. video game.. app... more comics... music etc etc etc... GREAT SONG... Thank you
So glad I took the advice when my friend insisted I listen to them a few years ago. I didn’t know what I had been missing. Keep it up guys can’t wait for the new album.
Being a dad to a 5 year old son and a 1 year old daughter I can represent this song in both of my children and the relationship I have with both. C&C have made a ballad for every aspect of my life growing up and now into father hood. I love how I feel like I'm growing with the band and the life travels we've all be on.
Please don’t ever stop putting out music. I love how you all have evolved with each other.
New fucking Coheed? Today is going to be a fucking great day.
Absolutely incredible as always. There have been few things in my life that have stayed as consistent as my love for Coheed and Cambria. Can't wait to hear the new album.
All I want for Christmas is for Coheed and Cambria to announce they're making a movie
movie/tv series would be amazing
Wow I didn't know you guys were dropping a new song! What an awesome surprise! This is quintessential Coheed, I love it!
I feel exactly the same - I've checked Google in the last week to see if there's any new songs out yet after Shoulders and as soon as I stop checking, bam! They drop this!
It's beautifully sweet & crunchy at the same time, Josh doing a damn fine job on drums, the lyrics so haunting & pure, it's a sing-along too & the fresh riffs from Shoulders continue, clean & crisp - one of my favourites already!! So excited for the album drop (New Year maybe?).
Keep up the incredible work guys, another banger. This band can do absolutely no wrong!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤🎸🎤🎼🎵🎶🎻🎚🎹🤟🤘.
Lets take a sec to appreciate Cooper... his phrasing and pops had a nice thump. Big Anthemic Song!
Super Duper!
Still alive and humbled...every song that shows up lights up the lessons and reflections in life, shows me the manifestations of my destructive fear, I'm grateful, changing, losing
I Love you beautiful boy,
don't cry for me
Never forget the first time I heard this band. I was in high school, I believe 9th grade or so, and MW3 was all the rage. Someone started blasting "Goodnight Fair Lady" through their headset. I went to mute them like usual, and the song just caught my attention. I did end up muting them just so I could blast the entire album in my headset, and go down the band's album rabbit hole. You guys made high school a ton better, and if you see this and I ever see you, I owe you guys a beer. Thanks for sticking with me for over ten years now :)
I got goosebumps and this Chorus resonates in my soul. So good.
"resignates" in your soul? wtf
"Resignates"?
You might mean "resonates"
Ugh.
@@unrepentantoffender188 yea. Am dumb and was stupid and sleepy.
@@nathanexplosionn yea. I was sleepy and dumb.
I just saw them in concert just a few days ago in CA. I love their music and saw them about 20 years ago and was awesome to see them again.
Man I Iove this one. Hits me right in the feels and it feels great!!!! Coheed at their best right here!!!!
This…may just be their best song ever written.
They never fail to dissapoint me, So glad to see more of this storyline!
Your wording here is odd. I think you mean that they never disappoint you :P
@@bloodwireradio4556 I definitely did mean that, I was just so shocked by the song I typed fast :(
this song is so emotionally provicating, i can feel the love from claudio and the sadness from the story at the same time. Theres a reason iv been in love with this band for almost 20 years. probably one of the greatest bands of our modern era and is so underappreciated.
Damn, another banger. These guys never disappoint and no one can ever accuse them of phoning it in or getting stale. Bravo!!!
fuck its too good
As a father myself this shit really hits hard.. the tears were flowing hard the first listen 🔥 My favorite band forever
As the father of a one year old boy whom I love dearly this song makes me very emotional, especially the chorus. Claudio definitely had Atlas in mind when he wrote this song, even though it's part of the Armory Wars.
Just saw your guys in atlanta wit my daughter and it was amazing. It was her first concert and you guys are our favorite band. Have been hers since before she was born, I used to play your in keeping secrets album while she was in her mom's womb. Only thing that got her to stop kicking and relax. Thank you for the experience. It was my Mecca!!
I'm thankfull for every single song. It's unbelievable how much great and unique songs CC has given to us. Each and every one drags you into this world.
I'm just happy, unbelievable song - again.
So stoked for this new album!! "I'LL BE YOUR GREAT DESTROYER" gets me every time. The essence of epicness!! Twenty years of straight masterpieces!! Coheed never ceases to ROCK HARD!!!
Aliens: "Give me one good reason why we shouldn't eradicate your species."
Me: *plays them Coheed
Aliens: "Live long and prosper."👽
SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT
*Coheed*
Hahaha! Yes. Perfect!
Coheed takes me back to Bill and Ted and their unifying music, that’s the feel Coheed always gives me. If people would shut up for a minute and listen to Coheed, we’d live in a better place 🤣
nah.. i'm pretty sure the aliens gave us Coheed.
You released a song on my Birthday.. I couldn't ask for a better gift
This and Shoulders are giving me Apollo I'm Burning Star IV vibes., psyched for the new album!
I truly believe Coheed and Cambria will NEVER stop making amazing music
I''m getting No World for Tomorrow vibes! Regardless, there's never a bad song with this band!
I'm getting more In Keeping Secrets mixed with the Willing Well songs myself 😊
I really can't get over this song, and I really feel what Claudio is pouring into it. It's so beautiful.
I can't wait to shout out "Call me and I'll be there, your great destroyer" in concert. It's us. We are the great destroyers for Claudio and family. And we will always be there for each other.
Legendary stuff.
