Hello Mike, I want to thank you for this great information on the videos. After squandering good intentioned placed money on SPY options my wife and I finally came across this video and it turned the table completely on our favor.
Before we were pretty much guessing and trying to beat the SPY by crossing our fingers, now we know exactly what we are doing because we have.better picture of what the market is doing.
We are creating now a daily market profile and following all the recommendations made by Ryan (phenomenal speaker).
I want you to know that as a small business owner things have not gone very well lately and also I lost my part time job as a Chess coach, this video has given us an edge and we have actually been making money on SPY and this makes a great difference for our family (we have four small kids).

@@NWorship Billy, most traders use TOS for their charting even if they use a different broker to place the orders. You can set up a Think or Swim (TOS) account at no cost and with no funding required. It's a paper trading account. You will need to see if you can get real time data with that type of account.

I took the exact same trade on Wednesday on the SPY because the market internals were bullish. seriously the exact trade for that exact reason. great divergence, great content

My favorite indication on spy strength is watching oil. The energy sector has a large capitalization and oil tends to be a large indication on spy strength. If /cl is up 3% because opec production cuts and spy is down it tends to confirm price action and underlying weakness in spy.
2022 oil over 100/barrel and spy down. End the fed

First time learning about these two indicators. ($TICK and $ADD) Very interesting concept combining these to trade the SPY. I feel like I was blind when I traded the SPY in the past, not knowing about these. Would love to see more trading examples using these.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! SMB's videos are gold, they have helped me both with improving myself, as well with some new techniques! I added ADD to my chart today and had a similar observation with SPX, by 11:30 though the index was higher than the open, the ADD never got as high, and when it started drifting lower, I started a short by selling 3645 calls. worked nicely. Thank you again!

@@sisqo786 yes those indicators could be quite revealing, ADD, TICKS, TRIN are they few I watch often intraday.

THANK YOU. This is TERRIFIC and valuable information . I was researching content on reading/ interpreting the delta and the footprint / profile ..this nicely suits my overall approach..I was feeling down for not "cracking" the footprint and interpreting its subtleties ..I could verify again the powerful ADD line divergence today ..it was massive and the ES rallied over a hundred points from the low. I like the "simplicity" and yet makes so much sense ...May I ask what charting tool is used to show those powerful set ups please ? bv b

I've been using this tool for the past 3 years. As someone who is successfully trading Futures for a living, these tools are in my top 5 as an Index Futures trader. Use $ADD and $TICK and you will be on the right side of the market more often than not.
Brett Steenbarger wrote about this tool years ago. Most people just overlooked it.

I love your videos. This one in particular is fabulous. Any guidance on what charting software this particular ADD line is coming from? The ADD indicators I'm finding on TOS and Trend Spider are just a line that's very hard to read. The indicator shown in the video that moves with each candle is a game changer. Is this a Trading View indicator? Any specifics on how to get the indicator shown would be really appreciated. Thank you!

i've used the $ADD in the pass but with your explanation it made more sense on why we a small retail traders that trades the SPY. what is the real different between these two [ $ADD NYSE Advancing Issues - Declining Issues Difference / $ADDC NYSE Composite Advancing Issues - Declining Issues Difference ]

Finally understand what his saying trading SpY
If I'm trading ES/SPY should I just TICK for NYSE? or SPY? or the combine TICK for NYSE / NASDAQ??? Same questions for ADD as they have these market metrics for all various combinations of markets....
So basically when the ADD movement coincides with the index movement you can expect continuation in that direction. And when there is a divergence between the two movements you can expect some sort of correction. (Because the index movement might not be reflective of the entire Market but being propped or flushed by a few equities or sectors)
What about the NASDAQ version of $ADD
I can't get thinkorswim to recognize $ADDQ or $ADD/Q for the NASDAQ Advanced decline line
What is the line you reference "vwrap"? I couldn't make it out. Looks like a moving average.
