Garrett's Trend Video: ruclips.net/video/wkuR2Z0IVhQ/видео.html
its all nice to see those indicators and TTM sqeeze and ATR trailing stop indicators ... but the thing is ... most of us are using Tradingview
and there is always a problem that those differ from what your showing ... ( coded in a diffrent way ) so even if you showing nice things ....
the good thing would be... to provide the code maybe so we can build it ourselfs
Excellent banter with GREAT real usable technique.
Jeff's interruptions were maddening! Don't know how Garrett could even maintain his train of thought or patience
I am actually glad he asked the questions although he knew the answers. helped me learn
This would so much more painless if he were making this video alone without the interruptions! But I am highly appreciative, non the less... Thank You! 🙏🏾
Keep your opinions for yourself. His role is so important. It is like me. I feel I'm him in this situation and he is asking what I would like to ask to get as much of information as possible. Go sleep. This is to complex for you.
So true I was thinking the same thing
He can let him explain his technique first and then ask questions or something. This guy constantly interrupting him is causing him to lose his train of thought and affecting his ability to communicate.
Jeff, no one gives a flying flip about what has happened to you in various scenarios; shut the heck up and let the man make his point already! You are NOT even slightly funny or helpful. 🙄
@FISO-ig3tm No offense, but if you need more of an explanation than the guy in the glasses is giving you SHOULD NOT be trading any 0DTE options. You should take fridays off for the next couple years while you learn and gain experience.
JEFF, can you please stop interrupting him and let him speak. I want to hear what he has to say. Very annoying 😮
Brilliant, this is such an amazing setup. Most who watch this will probably not realize how priceless this information is. Thank you, I can’t wait to try it out👍
I cannot believe that they straight up just upload stuff like this. Companies were made on strategies like this, and here we are watching it for free on youtube, right beside your cat videos. Absolutely mental. Thank you guys so much. Changing lives!
Great clip gents. Well done with moderation and devil's advocate Jeff and great technical job Garret. Thanks.
I like how this channel teaches so much and makes you have a better understanding on the market. But I also find is funny how at the end of each video, Mike just shows up and tells us how its pretty much useless since we're going against them too haha
Garett if my new favorite! These are real actionable, back testable strategies. They are telling you the exact rules. These strategies can be coded and automated. This is gold.
Very true
SMB Cap thank you for this video - ODTE trading is my goal for next year - using the information provided I plan to build a strategy on trading 0DTE - excellent questions Jeff
Fantastic video. I am certainly going to view this again and implement this strategy.
Great! 😇Not expect such an insightful analysis.
Exactly what I was looking for! The other 0DTE videos are good but they focus on selling options strategies. Thanks for the content, SMB!
You are welcome!
Great video. Thank you SMB team 👏🙏
Thank you both! Super helpful. And I do appreciate the very pinpointed questions (“interruptions” 😉). Thanks for sharing your strategies. This is amazing.
Awesome video, again! I love your setup tips. Much more realistic for someone trying to grow an extremely small account and willing to take on more managed risk. Thank you!
I love this strategy of combining the squeeze with the tick!
Thank you SMB for providing this great content. I would like to see, maybe in following videos, it's backtest results.
Coming from the automotive industry this really reminds me of tech a tech b conversations is the ASE ?s ,great video guys!
I've been wondering if I was the only one that trade like this. When I started doing this my profits took off with less risk . Very informative interview
More videos like this, outstanding!
This is great content. Thanks to Jeff for asking clarifying questions; it has helped breakdown the content into practical steps. Appreciate both Jeff and Garett!!
Very awesome. Well thought out and explained from setup to exit. 🙌🏻
The Squeeze indicator is probably my most used tool aside from moving averages, good stuff.
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing!
As a new trader, this information is invaluable. Thanks a million.
I think it’s incredible to see McLovin from Superbad is all grown up and doing the market today. You’re killing it keep up great work 👍🏼
Jeff asked all the questions as they popped in my head while listening.
Great VID.
THIS IS SO AWESOME! I am a OTDE junkie, Ive won big and Ive lost big. This gives me such a good chance! I cant wait to try the ATR!!! Thanks so much
Who knows how to add the TICK below the chart like he has , I have searched and all I am finding is changing the candles to tick.
Thank you all for putting together this video, please let me know the settings/inputs for each indicator, happy holidays.
Thank u for posting this!
Thanks, i will certainly commence with testing these ideas.
This is decent content. Basically this is learned in John Carter's mastering the trade volume 3, I think chapter 4 or 5 called "internals"
It's fun to watch Garrett's reaction when gets interrupted 😂😂
😂 Garrett asked Jeff to interrupt and ask questions
I agree. I wish he wouldn't interrupt so much!!!
Yeah it’s funny but pretty obvious, imo, it was staged. Good work.
Such a GREAT video !!! I have a fast mov avg on tick which will add visual help to assess situation, as well as AD lines. Adding TTM and ATR should really help to rule base this type of trade. I like to take risk off at quick 30/50% move and leave runner, and even get back in when small pullbacks in stock (but in this case still valid thru ATR trail) drop option price almost to entry point or 50/60 Fib of the impulse move. Thanks as always guys for sharing pro tips.
@@smbcapital Can you do a new one with just Garrett then? Let the man speak.
Loving the content, keep them coming.
John Carter from Simpler Options in Austin Texas came up with TTM indicator.
Thank you for this helpful video... Can someone please help me? What is the name for the "TICK" indicator on TOS? Thank you in advance
Great for a breakout after mid day consolidation on a confirmed trend day…rally into the close. ADD needs to confirm this too…great when VIX low as well.
I love trading 0DTE! 🙌🏼
Thanks excellent video Would you be willing to share script for the chart at 29:00 with the three indicators. thanks so much as always
Does anyone know the trading view indicators names for the TICK, ATR TRAILING STOP?
What an amazing tool. Excellent presentation. Thank you.
Does trading view has the Tick Indicator? Could not find it in the standard indicators list
I enjoyed the video. Question, in your backtesting did you notice correlation between ETF's and their corresponding Index Options? For example, on a day when you had a setup in the SPY, were the indicators and price action similar in the SPX?
Well, correlation between SPY and SPX is pretty much a perfect 1.00. They are both based on the SP500. SPY is just the etf. The options do trade quite differently though for various reasons
the ttm squeeze is perfect for this
thx. for your helpful videos, can you tell me which ttm indicator you used because there are many of hem with same name and thanks in advance
Gents it’s a great video. I will test this strategy for 21 days. If I blow up my account it’s Jeff’s fault for interrupting 😂😂😅😅
Thanks for the video guys. How do you implement the trade? ITM option with some prescribed delta, OTM option, vertical spread, directional butterfly, etc.?
Straight up calls or puts has been working best for me, check out some of Simpler Trading videos, the guy who created the squeeze indicator started Simpler Trading.
Any chancy you guys (or someone here) could post code for the TOS scripts you're using?
Great video . Just need to paper trade and see the results 😊
So little training for 0DTE trading, SMB provided real world understanding of the challenges matched with specific set ups and rules.
I like the interruptions. As he was talking, I was asking the same questions. The questions, allow you to dot the I's and cross the T's.
Great stuff gentlemen. Question, is the "Tick" indicator a standard indicator? I am not finding that indicator in a few places I have looked on different charts. Thanks.
Joe Black
Depends on your platform. In Thinkorswim, the tick indicator is simply pulling up a chart of $TICK symbol. You can choose the desired timeframe, in this video Garrett was using 5 minute charts.
This is one of the best instructional videos I've seen on ODTE. Well done!
Can you do another video with Garret only, talking through these indicators, with no interruptions? I've watched this 5 times now and all the interruptions really are distracting. Just like a lot of people have already commented. Thanks!
Great Stuff
tq. i like this strategy / research. a systematic approach
In one of your recent vids you showed a chart of the Nasdaq 100, with a column showing each company's current RSI, plus a column showing the company's industry. How did you do that?
Thanks for the video! If I can make a suggestion, it would be nice to know what date is the TICK chart from so we can compare on our own as well. I think I see Nov 7th but the chart still doesn't match what I am seeing on my end for some reason. Unless I am using the wrong TICK chart? It looks like its TICK/Q?
I used $TICK to match his chart with TOS
it would be nice if there was tradingview template for this
Check Tick by viewer 405 i just changed settings from candle typ Bars to line; ATR trailing stop v5 by Tradeautomation and TTM squeeze pro by Beardy-Fred just tick sqz and untick Mom i changed color 0,2,3 to grey and 1 leave red hope that helps
What are the ATR Trailing stop settings? In TOS it asks for 'ATR period', 'ATR factor' and 'Average type'. Is there any more data on these settings?
3 and 1
The back and forth dialogue is great. asking the right questions and giving detailed answers. Thank you guys!
This is John Carters TTM squeeze
Iron condors where you want them to expire worthless makes sense or butterfly
Whats the TICK indicator on Tradeview ?
does anyone have a good ttm & tick indicator for tradingview
Garrett is a patient man!
I let Jeff in my interview know about how i learned this same strategy from the guy who developed this. It is one of my main playbooks for multi time frames set ups. I guess I didn’t explain enough to get a similar reaction.
are the indicators on trading view? or do you pay for it?
TOS has it free@@coastaliron2127
So exactly how tight is the ATR trailing stop? I can see where this leading to automated trading. Great Video.
ATR Period 3, ATR factor 1
i cannot find ATR trailing stop or tick chart in tradingview.. any tips?
anyone know where this "tick" is on Power eTrade?
Thank you as always Garrett and Jeff. What about valuation of these options when using them in this way - is it safe to assume the market is pricing them at FV? And how much spread is acceptable etc. Would be good to expand this topic with a prima on choosing a strike and quantifying the EV of the trade.
Hello, can I find a list of indicators that were used?
interesting lesson. What I miss a bit is the strike price selection considerations. If they focus on OTM options for this purpose, how far OTM? My inclination would be just a tiny bit but then ofcourse you miss some leverage. Why not ATM? and why not ITM? I mean even a delta 0,4 gives me an edge and it might be easier to close the position, or? What if you don't succeed to close the position - you fall back to the intrinsic value.
Anyone tried to apply this strategy for selling an option for credit just at the other side of the game? Sell a slightly ITM put instead of buying a slightly OTM call...
I'm also wondering why not just flip to selling OTM in order to reverse the direction of theta and be able to profit from decay during sideways action after the move starts.
If I can understand correctly, stock or equity rarely has daily 0DTE but they do have weekly expiration which is every week's Friday. For the example on $NVDA, do you mean you trade this strategy only on every Friday or you select expiration date on Friday and just open and close the trade on the same day if trading on any days from Mon - Thurs? I'm a bit not clear on this, because longer time decay is more expensive in the option price you pay to long or short comparing a 0DTE vs few days later.
0DTE means for stocks only Friday, if they have an expiry on that Friday. SPX and some other ETF are every day.
Great information, looking forward to using this soon.
For the TICK setting, do you change it to $TICK/Q for the QQQ or keep it set to $TICK for all markets?
Thanks for posting it, I've had the same question.
Anybody found an answer ?
Never use tick chart trading works using timing algorithms
I keep both up as a watchlist just to see the numbers. I dont waste space by using a chart.
Where do we find these indicators?
What is the indicator name on Trading View for the Tick algo? And who is it made by?
I cant seem to find these indicators on TV to backtest. Does anyone seem to have it? Thank you
what are the actual names of the indicators on trading view? i cant find the exact ones??
Wow, haven’t gotten to the third and I already love it!!
Third what
@@rubberbandman3rd indicator haha.
That ATR though…
@@hersheytrade I haven't finished it yet... Still on the ttm squeeze lol...at work but I'm excited to see
Liked the video, just because he said "sucks.. because i feel helpless when that decay starts!"
Atleast i know some traders have feelings like i do 😭😱
Fridays are the #1 Trend day due to the Algos being 100% running the show
As a member of the family that built the insulation for the Space Shuttle, it would be really cool of you guys to ditch the exploding shuttle in your video altogether, and pick a different image. Being reminded of the Challenger Explosion in a trading video? Eh, figure something else out please.
I like Jeff's question interrupting Garrett. I guess Garrett didn't mind but Jeff's questions are right on the money which helped making this video more clear. A perfect 2 people show.
Yes questions are perfect and he is trying to get it clarified for us but he should let Garrett finish a little explanation first.
We have another video with Jeff and Garrett coming out soon. Jeff toned it back a little. They were excited to shoot the video@@samsarapath2282
Seemed like Jeff was extra acting as the impatient RUclips trader/ listener who'd have immediate questions popping into his mind
I would prefer less questions
I found Jeff's interruption annoying and had to rewind a few times to understand
How do you build find a squeeze alert?
This looks good but I don't have the TIC, the squeeze indicator or the ATR trailing stop on Fidelity ATP . Guess I'm screwed trying to increase my small account. Any idea's, can point me in the right direction.
Also, I don't think Fid will let you trade a same day expiration if you have a small account.
pls share that exact ndicator list with setttings....hope it will be good for beginners
This was amazing content. Well done! Really liked the back and forth.
I cannot find $TICK in study. How can I add it to lower chart? Can someone help? Thanks
Will u please make such type of information on Indian share market options.plz
looking over the TICK, it seems a really decisive TICK trend doesn't come by that often. Can you maybe use an ema on the TICK to get a general sense of trend ?
$TICK is real data and not an average. I get an alert when $TICK is over 1000 - and that I get it quite often. IMHO I wouldn't use it with individual stocks. They can move detached from a trend.
Need help. I am not able to find the ATR indicator mentioned in this video
It's called "ATR Trending" or similar
what is the "tick" indicator equivalent for TradingView?
On TOS it's $TICK - for NYSE CUMULATIVE TICK
@@C00ltronix so its not an indicator? and which one is it for nasdaq?
Plz give me detail of channel and tick indicator on tradingview
Where is that particular Cumulative TICK Indicator for ToS?
can you show how you set your squeeze list
What ATR Traling stop parameters would be best for 5 min charts?
anybody?
I think they were showing examples on a 5 min chart. I use the chandelier exit on Trading view and you can go to settings to change them to 3 period 1 ATR.
What is two or three “arval” they are talking about to measure stocks in play?
They are referring to the VOLD value being 2:1 and 3:1 or higher, as in 'RxVold'. It's a shorthand to indicate how many multiples above 1 the VOLD value is at that point.
has anyone found the bolinger band squeeze on trading view?\
Yes. TTM
