My first car was a 75 Cutlass Supreme with a built big block making 502 HP at the wheels and cheater slicks. I came from a family of drag racers and dad figured I was either going to learn how to drive and tame it or take myself out. He was always a "trial by fire" kind of parent. 😂

I used to have a GLC! It was a 1985. The hoods open backwards on those cars. Mine had a broken motor mount so if you dumped the clutch the engine would rock up and hit the hood. I used to pop the hood and have someone hold it and I would dump the clutch making the engine rock out of the engine bay just to scare people.

Travis, I have to disagree. I had a 78 Mazda GLC that I bought for $300. That car was amazing I drove it from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas, to San Diego, to Florida. Epic road trip when I was 18 years old. At one point I rolled it on it side going down a off ramp. It did a 180 hit the curb, put it on its side on the curb and did another 180 9n its side. When it stopped, I got out, grabbed the roof pushed it back on the wheels. Waiting for the oil to settled, fired it up and drove that car another 50+ thousand miles with no issue's. It was a Great little car...

I had the basic manual non electric 89 Honda civic. No car is more basic and manual. I drove it from Northern California to Baja surf and snowboarding and with no chains. Cops and people weee amazed how. Well….im from NJ. To brag NJ people talk and drive different. We’re just not as big of pussies and have a little more sense than most Californians. Haha

1989-91 I had a complete freak of a Toyo Landcruiser that was the short square jeep removable top type thing lifted higher than safety advises and had 44’ Super Swamper tires. Forgot stereos, you could hear these tires coming miles away and multiple grids over in the small NJ beach town where sound echos off and around trees and forests. It could drive right over most vehicles in town and be being skinny scrawny teenager people felt it was like an infant riding an elephant as far as control and skill of driving. But I didn’t get hassled and had a fun time. Damn I loved being that high up advantage wise for view. Really makes for safe driving seeing everything so high. Had a weird starter wire that would fall off driving so I had to basically walk under it and attach it before starting each time, making for free and easy car anti theft system 🤣

My Christine was a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix. It tried to kill me several times. The steering would bind up and it had a habit of blowing right front calipers. It didn't matter if I bought a used, new or a rebuilt caliper, it would blow within a few hundred miles. Usually at the worst possible time, like approaching a red light at a busy intersection. I used buildings, trees and utility poles to stop and avoid major accidents. It died in a Kentucky scrapyard after it tried to kill me on KY 22 when the steering bound up on an off camber right hand bend. I bounced it off of two guardrails and then plowed into the concrete curb on a bridge, folding the a-frame. After the wreck, every panel on the car had damage, except the drivers door.

Me and my dad built a 73 road runner as my "first" car we found it in a local junk yard and the body work was already done but the 400 in it chewed up the plastic or fiberglass timeing gears so there was a 69.5 A12 super bee that had been totaled in the 80s at the same junk yard so we pulled the 440 out of it and the owner kept the 6 pac intake and carbs so we had the engine built and stroked then had a 727 trans built and after that i picked petty blue because it had blue interior and we took it to races and car shows i loved that car but a week before i could get my license my dad sold it because he said "i would get killed in it because it was too fast" and to be honest we put 10 speedometer cabels in because it would break em like nothing and it went to 120

My dad's 1971 GMC small block with a three on the tree (wouldn't touch a manual for years after that), my friend's 1992 Ranger 2.3L 5spd, and my uncle's mid 80s Toyota 4x4. Hahaha. I’ve had many white Toyota Utes. But the only 4x4 one I had was also cursed. The whole story has stopped entire pubs and even a corporate gig despite me not being the speaker. It also ended happily when it got stolen and I got paid out for it for full value. Even then I got fully investigated for insurance fraud before they found out it wasn’t me. I knew it had to go when it broke down on the way to my ex wife’s house on the day I was moving out from the psycho I had moved in and met nearly a year later. Souls in cars are so much more about the time they break down and the place V the actual fault

Lifted trucks are coming back? Where did they go? In Western Mass/Nh ive always seen jacked up trucks and Subaru's. I bet like 70% of Subaru's sales are from New England and its not just Karen's with short hair like Colorado lol.

Didn't tell us how the bloke in the wheelchair reacted when you told him about the deaths connected to the car.
