Hey Jamie, stoked you enjoyed the video. I don’t have a video on the retainer strap sorry - but if it’s what I think you’re referring to should attach to the top of the hatch or boot door. Hope this helps.
How about a safe way to lock bikes on hitch mout bike rack? Recently had $10,000 worth of bikes stolen off a thule T2 pro hitch mount bike rack using their tiny cable lock that was part of the bike rack. It happened when traveling on the back of our car when stopped to do a thirty min hike where no bikes were allowed. Been thinking some way to rig up two beefy chain locks like Hiplok, kryptonite ect. I know no system is perfect. Just want to be able to leave them on the car for a few hours say at national park parking lot or the like. Bikes won't fit in the car with all our camping gear. Any ideas would be super helpful! Thank you in advance!
Man, that’s gutting! Sucks to hear that happened to you. I’d be going with the long hip lock as a minimum. Wrap all of the bikes together & perhaps to the rack itself with another one or two. I’d also go the ZLock ties on each wheel as well, to make it a pain for anyone who’s just taking an opportunity to swipe a bike or 2. There are alarm locks out there too. As I’ve suggested in another video, mounting an AirTag on your bike is a solid idea too. Hope this helps 👍🏼
Thanks mate awesome, just bought a second hand one of these & couldn't for the life of me find any other video on how to use it properly.

Great technique but I find those bungy straps brutal on the fingers!
They can be, huh! I haven’t found a better product though unfortunately.

Thanks Hamish! 👍
Thank you for the tips. Really helpful 🙂
You’re welcome mate, stoked to help 👍🏼👍🏼
I notice you don't tighten the pedal to the pole i find it stop swinging
I find I don’t need to secure the pedal, as following this method keeps the bikes from swinging. 👍🏼👍🏼
personally im using ratchet straps, im not trusting some nylon chord tying my bike to a rack
Fair call 👍🏼
why is this not in the manual haha, thanks
😂😂 Not sure my rack even came with a manual!
