Well that kind of builds up your confidence to go buy some of the products when someone says "I've used it on clients and red carpet etc. for 15 years" ))) Credibility level 100. Will save this for future reference.
SHE IS THE BEST makeup artist & THE MOST GENUINE person on youtube, unlike other beauty gurus who rave about their own product line( note elle & blair) or brands that are sponsoring them.. Lisa mentioned products which she genuinely likes and didnt just talk about Chanel products
I look forward to all of your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and background of makeup and application with us. I adore your peaceful presence on camera.
I recently purchased the Secret Camouflage and I swear by it. I'd never been introduced to it prior to finding your channel, so I must thank you for featuring it so often in your videos. Hope you're well, lisa!
lisa, your videos are wonderful and with a very, very good quality. I really appreciate that you take the time to explain all your techniques. But what I like most is your personality, your way of being, you are calm but enthusiastic. Thank you very much!
Dear Lisa, thanks so much for sharing all the wisdom you have with us. I've become so addicted to all your videos and treat myself every day to a couple. I've learnt loads already from you and you really gave me a good shake over sunscreens. I rave about you to everyone and tell them to watch. Finally realised I should actually leave a few comments when I watch so you know how much you're appreciated. Would love to see you put a book out as well with all your tips. xx
Probably my all time favourite beauty video on youtube. I never tire of watching this. Would love to see more of Lisa's favourites as she must have tons of them. Have bought several of these items and haven't looked back since. Thank you Lisa!
Ahhh the way you talk about make-up, you really talk about it in it's form of great make-up artists - you really talk about it like it's art! The detail you go into the products is amazing. I find myself in a trance listening to each descriptive word you use for each product. I can see your passion and it's a joy to see! xo
I've got this tip from an Asian makeup website that to test whether a powder product is good or not, you can put a drop of water on it. Good powders does not absorb the water and the bad ones do. I accidentally dropped some water on my new Dior shadows yesterday, and the water just sat on top of the shadow. I think it's probably has something to do with the shadow being in the fatty stage. I love your videos. I watch them again and again. If I studied this hard I might have been a better student
I'm in my early forties and I'm in love with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I use a bit of heavier foundation such as Bobbi Brown foundation stick or Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation on the pigmented areas. These tips I learned from Lisa's videos and I can't be happier with the results. I'm also a skincare buff, so I take very good care of my skin. Good skin makes makeup look better.
Amazing and informative video as always Lisa. We are so, so lucky to have you here. You have changed the way I see, understand and use make-up. Thank you!
Hi Lisa, I must say as a young girl interested in make up, its highly interesting to hear you talk about products that you still use today after 10 to 20 years, especially MAC. It's fascinating to me really. I liked this video very much, you are very knowledgable. x
+Kyle S I think it's because so many beauty bloggers on youtube does a yearly "my fav" thing, or a monthly "my fav thing", people forget that if the products are good, you don't need to change. It's consumerism.
Great Video! There's so many self proclaimed guru's on RUclips but you are by far one of the only ones I trust. Your amazingly talented Lisa. I always live your looks, always classy, always perfect. Thank you for sharing! The lipstick you just put on reminds me of the No 7 Nude Rebellion from last year. I love that lipstick I bought 3 back ups but I'm already halfway through my 2nd one! That is my all time favourite lipstick, the colour, the creamy yet matte texture, it's absolutely perfect!
I always can't wait for your videos to come, when I'm watching them I sort of get in Lisa Eldridge mood:)) so when they end I go straight to your uploads and watch your older videos again and again... Your tutorials are so calming and relaxing like nothing else.
I love all time favorites, I was talking about it with a friend the other day. I love lipsticks especially bright Red and pinks - I also love Mac eye shadows. Also again your makeup looks so lovely, so nice and a good simple wedding look - well I think so 😊
I absolutely adore your videos. I feel so much more confident with what I buy and how I apply my make up. There's so much pressure right now to be up to date with new products and using the exact tools and I love that you mix it up sometimes and stick with products because they're good and not just popular. I love the make-up history videos as well, it's so interesting. I feel like I can apply my make up to suit and embrace my features, not hide it to look like somebody else, so thank you so much. Oh, and your voice is lovely. Best make up artist ever!
Can I just say I LOVE that you joined RUclips...I cant believe didn't know who you were when I was buying the magazine with celebrities on the front cover that you had done the make up for! For sure you deserve the most subscribers!
@lucydownes1 Vita lumiere is ONLY for dry skin (I cant use it for myself as I'm combination). Avoid it completely if your oily or combo. Its lovely on dry skin and it does go on well with a brush X
Just bought Revlon's matte Really Red 006 for a black tie dinner I have to attend. I am IN LOVE! Thank you for the recommendation in this video & others. Gratitude for all of the knowledge that you share - thank you!!
Lisa! I just purchased Chanel Vitalumier on your recommendation and absolutely love it, it is amazing I have quite dry skin and it gives me such a beautiful glow i went out shopping today and people kept commenting on my skin .. love it ... and love your videos thank you thank you xxx
I love watching this video just to know which are the better high end/expensive brands. Don't know how she'd make an updated version of this, since it is literally her all-time favorite products that she's continued using for 20ish years and still uses.
I've just discovered your videos and i am ADDICTED. Even though your skin type is different to mine, you always give so much info about all skin types, products etc, such great stuff. LOVE IT.Thank you so much. x
@TracyChristian most of them are good for all skintones. For example the Becca product comes in 5 shades for different skintones, the Dior palette (I used on Jourdan Dunn in Vogue last month...see the gallery on my website) looks great on many tones, the eyelash curlers, lip glosses, mascaras etc are for everyone. The LM SC comes in different tones and the Bobbi Brown and Mac cream shadows come in various shades to suit everyone etc. X
@KseniaIz they are re-launching it with a new name in May but the colours will be the same. Its had three different names in the 20 years I've used it but the shades have remained the same ....thankfully! In the meantime its quite easy to buy Massai Beige online if you google it x
@sherrysgaur6 I did...it was the airbrush concealer by Clinique. I'm not the biggest fan of Lancome bases...find them too perfumed and they dont really last well for me X
@chilipepper80 Everyone is different.. I know people who are allergic to hypoallergenic products but ok with others. Most Foundations these days are silicone and water (which shouldn't break you out). Trial and error. Ask them to do your face on counter and then see how you skin is the following day - always good to try before you buy X
@popomomosasa Dry products last a long time yes...keep the lid closed and they should be with you for a long time. Lipstick if it smells ok has had the lid on and still feels moist and creamy should be fine too x
@TheMatteMe They are re-launching it with a new name in May (it will be the third name its had in the 20 years I've been using it!). The PR assures me the shades wont change just the name. Meanwhile there are lots of sites on line where you can get the existing Beige Massai X
1 - mac paint pots = can't live without; use for base everyday. If they ever discontinue, I will cry! 2 - clinique all about eyes concealer in medium petal. If they ever discontinue, I will cry. It matches my skin perfectly. 3 - loreal telescopic mascara (original formula) - can't live without, use everyday. If they ever discontinue, I will cry REALLY HARD! thank you for sharing your all-time faves. That was so interesting! :) Carla
I adore your tutorials and you are so kind, even though you're in a kind of high-demanding world. I have a neuromuscular disease and it is very difficult for me to apply eyeliner. Could you please suggest the best type of product to use? My hands are not steady, and so it is difficult to find the best way of applying eyeliner, which with mascara and blush are the only thing I wear. Most sincerely, Karen Storek
I would use an angled brush with dark-ish eyeshadow- I used it when I first started makeup and it is the easiest way for my to apply something dark near my lash line.
***** you need to use an eyeshadow base, a matte one especially to make sure that your Benefit liner doesn't get smudgy. Mac's soft ochre is brilliant! I cannot go a day without an eyeshadow base before applying my liner. And for me, the benefit They're real liner has worked awesomely considering the fact that Dubai where I live is a super hot country and makeup here is likely to melt.
Physicians formula hav just launched their liquid eyeliner pens with new formula. I have jittery hands too and have avoided those eyeliners for a while. I got away with smokey eye and cotton buds to create a flick.
I loved this video! It shows how passionate you are about Makeup. You are a pleasure to watch! My absolute favorite blush is NARS, it stays on without fading on my oily skin...
Lisa, I am thrilled and so fond of your look in this video. Could you please share how you created and what products you used. You look gorgeous! And thank you for sharing the amazing experience.
@PeachyPink224 A few months is fine. Leaving it lying around for a longer time is not good. Although having said that, Mac have told me they are changing the formulation to stop this from happening. I'm worried because the ingredient that makes it separate also makes it completely smudge proof...so we'll see. Oxidation is not the problem its the film-former. I've not had a problem at all as I use it day to day for work and its well used up before anything happens X
You are seriously an inspiration and a gorgeous, smart, and talented woman!!!!! One of my all-time favorite You-tubers. Thanks for being you and sharing yourself with us!!
I can't live without my Bourjoise healthy mix serum foundation. Its great for an everyday use and is so easy to blend and just gives you a fresh dewy look. I am also loving my lancome doll eyes mascara it just gives so much volume. love it.
Invest in a really good concealer like Keromask or Vichy Dermablend (use the foundation as a concealer) and apply it with a brush to the scars after applying your foundation. You only need a small amount because both are very concentrated x
@kayteex023 its great for legs, I would go to the mac store in at the beginning of summer and ask them to match your leg shade and put it on (then check it in daylight before buying) x
Thank you for the No 7 Nude lip pencil. I have dark spots on my lips and spent years looking for a great pencil that covered them but wasn't too dark or light. Nude is perfect, and at such a great price point. So thank you for that!
Always trust her recommendation..I have watched this vid over n over again and she's really know her product..so believe me when i said u guys gonna buy all the products she mentioned because that s what i did over the past year subscribed to her channel xx love u lisa
This is an expensive video to watch! Now im going to have to go out and get all the stuff you showed that I don't have!!! thanks for the great video! love you!
This is my favorite type of video, aren't we all in search of products that really stand the test of time? Thank you so very much Lisa, this was extremely informative and helpful. :)
@toucette I dont think they stock the Limited Edition Collections in the US...just the basic range : ( Not sure why, it would be good if they changed that x
this is literally ALL TIME favorites....usually makeup artists/gurus talk about what they're liked for the month or year.... I can tell they're genuinely good since you've had them for so long =]
Hi Lisa, I am a twelve year old who is OBSESSED with makeup, I already have a collection that is literally double or triple the size that an ordinary woman would have. I really love you and I want to grow up to be just as successful as your are. You are my favourite youtube guru because a lot of youtube gurus use expensive products just for the fact that they are expensive but you actually recommend good products, drugstore or high end. I hope you send something! Love from Belgium, Magali xo
Absolutely loved this video!!! I always save your videos till I have a moment when I can really take in what you are talking about and just enjoy the make-uppy (not really a word but hey'ho ) loveliness!!! I totally agree with what you said about the Chanel Joues Contraste, I love the colour Rose Petale, it has been one of my all time favourite blushes for many years now and one of my luxury make up items that I am nearly out of eek!!! Thanks for yet another fab video Lisa, your a star! XxX
Hello! My only long standing make-up product is a trio of eyeshadows from bourjois, mordoré chic, but it was named bruns cuivrés before. This trio was my first eyeshadow and is still in my kit.Thank you for your great videos!
Dear Lisa, I love your videos for the variety you show. Lots of products that I found to be great after trying them, and probably wouldn't have found without your videos. I was hoping that you would cover in a video how you keep your makeup sanitary as a professional makeup artist as well as tips for personal use. I find that a lot of the time, I never manage to finish the product within the time limit shown on the bottom of the container. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!!
@kkz201 keep going with the curler until it becomes un-aligned...you will know when this happens. Once it goes out of alignment i find you cant correct it. I normally get a few years out of them before this happens though. I usually have several on the go because I'm always frightened I'll get to a job and not have it with me - disaster! X
So very interesting. Agree on the Dior shadows! Personally could not do without my boots eyelash curler started with this when I was a Saturday girl working at boots and my friends thought I was mad to use such a contraption lol. Do you remember the bourjois rouge that came in the little round cardboard pot it was about £3 then! Oh how now I'm giving my age away! xx
I've constantly repurchased Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Quickie as it never ceases to make me feel polished also MAC Espresso has been a staple for years for my brows x
I've always been curious about CD eyeshadows, and I think you've just sold me. I'm not positive I can justify yet another eyeshadow palette, but I'm dying to give them a try.
@christine0003009 No7 isnt my range its a brand which is owned by Boots in the UK. Iam their creative director so I design the LE collections and work on the main range too x
What a great idea for a video, it's true what you say ,all the new beauty gurus go on about new products a lot, so gonna put them on my shopping list for sure x
Very interesting, as always, love your tutorials. Can you do a tutorial on how you keep your kit organized someday it would be tremendously helpful. You're such a darling X
I don't even wear that much makeup, just eyeliner mascara and blush occasionally but these videos are just to calming to watch ^-^
Vicki Z. same here haha x)
Well that kind of builds up your confidence to go buy some of the products when someone says "I've used it on clients and red carpet etc. for 15 years" ))) Credibility level 100. Will save this for future reference.
I feel so classy watching your videos haha
Love this channel , thank you !
ha ha ha I love that you said that. I feel the same. hmm...the accent maybe..
Love her English accent
SHE IS THE BEST makeup artist & THE MOST GENUINE person on youtube, unlike other beauty gurus who rave about their own product line( note elle & blair) or brands that are sponsoring them.. Lisa mentioned products which she genuinely likes and didnt just talk about Chanel products
Lisa, would love to see an updated version of this to find out what's made it into your favourites more recently! Thanks!
I look forward to all of your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and background of makeup and application with us. I adore your peaceful presence on camera.

Does anyone else find her voice soothing? I’m so relaxed I’m starting to fall asleep - I don’t want to fall asleep (yet) because I learn so much.
@ninja90ish Oh really! i didnt know it was on in Denmark...pleased you enjoyed it . Thanks for letting me know X
Probably my all time favourite beauty video on youtube. I never tire of watching this. Would love to see more of Lisa's favourites as she must have tons of them. Have bought several of these items and haven't looked back since. Thank you Lisa!

I can listen to you talk forever... it's become a pre-bedtime ritual of mine. Always so helpful!
It`s amazing how much passion you and Wayne Goss put in your videos and your job. I just think you are great people with incredible love for make-up.
I'm in my early forties and I'm in love with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. i love how the tutorials and videos in general are so simple but bring out natural beauty!
Amazing and informative video as always Lisa. We are so, so lucky to have you here. You have changed the way I see, understand and use make-up. Thank you!

Idk why everyone is asking for an update on this video when she literally uses products for 10-20 years at a time. Come back in a decade.
+Kyle S
I think it's because so many beauty bloggers on youtube does a yearly "my fav" thing, or a monthly "my fav thing", people forget that if the products are good, you don't need to change. It's consumerism.
+Buibuiopolis Mayor Ultimate truth.
+Buibuiopolis Mayor a lot of those youtubers get sent things to try out, that's probaby why they have so many 'favourites'
+Buibuiopolis Mayor so true! makes sense
So well-put!

You are very generous of spirit to share your knowledge and expertise and points of view on this topic. Thank you for being so kind!
@Bellabambina123 yes its Proctor and Gamble...they are the same. We cant get Cover girl here in the UK x
It was soooooooo kind of you to share your favorites with us. You are a gem!!
@lucydownes1 Vita lumiere is ONLY for dry skin (I cant use it for myself as I'm combination). Avoid it completely if your oily or combo. Its lovely on dry skin and it does go on well with a brush X
I also would love it if you did an updated version of this video!
I could listen to you speak all day! You have such a mesmerizing and soothing silky voice :)
Thank you so much for the video!
@mishellarox yes that would be fine...just make sure you apply the dermablend sparingly and blend it well (a little goes a long way!) x
@Twilight19922008 yes not the same set...You do have to replace them from time to time (pads and curler) x
@littlechloething 17 is a different brand. The nude pencil I use is from No7... I can understand your confusion! X
I love watching this video just to know which are the better high end/expensive brands.
Don't know how she'd make an updated version of this, since it is literally her all-time favorite products that she's continued using for 20ish years and still uses.
I really appreciate this video, lovely to see what has stood the test of time. Your lip colour is so lovely. Thanks so much Lisa.
You are by far the most classy and elegant of all the makeup gurus on youtube (well in my opinion of course :)) Simply stunning.

3 - loreal telescopic mascara (original formula) - can't live without, use everyday. If they ever discontinue, I will cry REALLY HARD!
thank you for sharing your all-time faves. That was so interesting!
:) Carla
@tani2568 its more about skin type. Vita is for dry skin Pro (now replaced by Perfection) is more for combination x
Most sincerely,
Karen Storek
I would use an angled brush with dark-ish eyeshadow- I used it when I first started makeup and it is the easiest way for my to apply something dark near my lash line.
You will certainly love Benefit's They're real gel liner pen. Just a slick and it gives a clean winged liner look. Try it out.
Thank you!

@D1mp4l I have used some mac eyeshadows in my videos..dont use tons though. I prefer to use a bit of everything. X
@Nojean1 some of them are very shimmery others not...choose the ones with a little shimmer but not too much. X
Brilliant video. So interesting to see whats stayed faithful for years.
Lisa, I am thrilled and so fond of your look in this video. Could you please share how you created and what products you used. You look gorgeous! And thank you for sharing the amazing experience.

I could watch you do a video on wart removers and be glued to the screen. You are such a wonderful teacher and inspiration. Thanks:)
great video, Lisa! I love the way you explain the reasons why you like these products, it's really really helpful! Thanks!
Invest in a really good concealer like Keromask or Vichy Dermablend (use the foundation as a concealer) and apply it with a brush to the scars after applying your foundation. You only need a small amount because both are very concentrated x
Might you also consider doing a favourite hair products video? Your hair always seems so shiny and healthy. Another great video Lisa :)
The paint pots! Ahh- love them! And you've had them for twenty years?! You look like you're twenty! x
Always trust her recommendation..I have watched this vid over n over again and she's really know her product..so believe me when i said u guys gonna buy all the products she mentioned because that s what i did over the past year subscribed to her channel xx love u lisa
I must agree Lisa, I absolutely love the No7 lip pencil, perfect shade for me, as I'm similar colouring to yourself x
This is an expensive video to watch! Now im going to have to go out and get all the stuff you showed that I don't have!!!
thanks for the great video! love you!
@agomes174 its being re-launched in May with a new name (but same shades). In the meantime you can still buy Beige Massai on-line x
You are sooo brilliant, I admire you! And also I have so much respect for you and your work!
@lizsyner The Armani foundations are just brilliant too. All the 'silk' foundations are excellent X
This is my favorite type of video, aren't we all in search of products that really stand the test of time? Thank you so very much Lisa, this was extremely informative and helpful. :)

I love this make up look you have in here, suits you perfectly! It's so flattering!
Hi Lisa,
I am a twelve year old who is OBSESSED with makeup, I already have a collection that is literally double or triple the size that an ordinary woman would have. I really love you and I want to grow up to be just as successful as your are. You are my favourite youtube guru because a lot of youtube gurus use expensive products just for the fact that they are expensive but you actually recommend good products, drugstore or high end. I hope you send something!
Love from Belgium,
Magali xo
@piggiesmalls4 ranges from light to medium/full-medium...its pretty buildable. The only thing it isnt is full coverage X
XxX
@yumemiruserenity Max Factor is the same as Cover Girl - same company with very similar products.... can you get them there? x
Hello! My only long standing make-up product is a trio of eyeshadows from bourjois, mordoré chic, but it was named bruns cuivrés before. This trio was my first eyeshadow and is still in my kit.Thank you for your great videos!
@LolaRose02 with Becca shimmering skin perfector it would be 'pearl' but its impossible for me to say exactly for foundation without seeing you x
I didn't realise you created the No7 Nude colour! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
@idig Go for it ..there's no reason why not! X
Dear Lisa,
I love your videos for the variety you show.
@MsBlogMe no I'm afraid not..you will need dermablend, or something similar, for that X
I just love your videos! I really value your opinion and based on your recommendations i've never been disappointed!
i love the dior shadows too. i have like 4 palettes....looks great on everyone!
@christine0003009 No7 isnt my range its a brand which is owned by Boots in the UK. Iam their creative director so I design the LE collections and work on the main range too x
Would love to see an updated version of this video :)
You're such a darling
