@Brodie Moshe I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
personally, with this setting, handbrakes ( 2021 ) gave me a result of 50, maximum 60% of resizing. I have here a 6GB file, and the output is 2.9 GB. Not 40 times less... followed step by step.
Hi i tried to reduce with several option but not reducing much, only showing very lower different, kindly advise while applying it on PDF, WHATSAAP, FB etc. where around or more than 20 MB to reduce into max lower KB.
my file's around 70gb, and when I hit start, the bar is instantly filled green, it says encoded 1 of 1, and 100%. That's not really how its supposed to go right?
This didn't work for me. I was trying to reduce a 5G file down to 1G and after following the steps you mentioned, it actually increased the file size to 6G. I'm trying it again. I also noticed that in The "Avg Bitrate" section of the Video tab, you forgot to mention that you didn't have "2-Pass Encoding" and "Turbo first pass" selected.
Those don't matter unless you have "Avg Bitrate" selected. If you have selected "Constant Quality", than those things mean nothing. (at least to my knowledge!)
old news, but i want to inform anyway. by lowering the RF value down then you increase the video file while getting more quality looks. if you increase the RF value up then you decrease the video file while the quality still get affected, but not too much and still looks nice to the eye if one doesn't investigate every frame and so on too much. While increasing the video file with RF value up too much, you get extremely low video file result, but what's gonna happen is that the video will get blurry, choppy and so on. Hope i was more clear.
Thank you so very much. Liked and subscribed. Im trying to upload a very long video game, at least 16 hours long, and 10 hours worth of videos filled my cpu memory. This is going to take forever tho lol 16 minutes elapsed time and only 8% done.
Can you please help, everyone says cropping must be Automatic and 0/0/0/0. but mine is 2/4/6/0, on automatic? could it be because I cropped the video myself in a video editor?
I tend to use the MP4 setting in the Video Codec tab rather than H.264 as H.264 produces an M4v file which programmes like Nero, if you want to convert and encode to a DVD doesn't seem to be able to import that file format, no idea why.
Hey can you help me here? I tried to reduce a 26 GB movie, the output was 265 mb but the file was super laggy for some reason and kept freezing over and over
Hi! I followed these directions step by step and it shrank my 74 MB file down to only 44.9... I have to have the file at 10 MB to upload. Any suggestions?
Why is it that a 560Mb file is 500Mb after encode with quality at 23? Do you only benefit when using much larger files? It took a one minute clip 4 minutes to encode, so that would take my full 2 hour video 8 hours.. i don't want to find out the long way. Lol
@@krystalize It's 4K content as well, perhaps that has something to do with it. Something i found interesting is that the 2 hour render came out at 46,000kbps , while a smaller clip of the same source material would come out at 78,000kbps using the exact same rendering settings.

Am I doing anything wrong? I need to have the conversion in MP4 format... Thanks for your time, and hope you can clarify me...
