I have the same van and smoke started bellowing from the hood and it smelled like rubber. I turned off the compressor and it stopped. I’m now looking to replace the compressor and I will be using this video, thanks.

My ac was working then a bunch of green oils starts leaking out on the back side of the compressor near the block
Have you ever run in to that ?
The compressor runs but not cold

Green oil is the pag compressor oil mixed with leak detector dye. The green stuff is flourscemt to make it easy to see leaks

So I should or should not add oil?

It should tell you in the compressors instructions. Some come pre oiled and some don't.

Very possible but it was the original compressor and she wanted it fixed.
