4 yrs later and this is still helping people like me...thank you!
Thank you! I couldn't have done this without your video. I liked how you edited out some unnecessary footage. Great job!!
Thank you, good sir! I had to replace my ac compressor in my 05 highlander 3.3L and this helped tremendously!
Extremely helpful and good camera work for us do-it-yourselfers! However, there are other things that need to be replaced in the system if we're replacing the old AC, like Desiccant, and expansion valve blocks.
Dude, you saved me a few hundred bucks.!! Great step by step instructions.
I apreciate the video sir I’m considering doing it myself now as you made it seem less difficult as it seems thank you
This worked perfectly…took a bit longer than it should’ve for me because I was second guessing myself about oil in my compressor, but everything else was spot on..thanks..now I’m gonna do the condenser…do you have a video on that?
Thank you so much I fallow step, by step and took me around 3 hours but I did it you are a master. Thanks again
You did it, you’re the master 🤙🏽
Thank you so much This worked perfectly
I am going to attempt to this this weekend and am buying my parts. Besides the compressor, should I buy anything else or change anything else while I have it apart?
Do you think it possible to replace the compressor clutch assembly without opening the system? Maybe by not removing the pressure hoses and swinging the compressor upwards to gain access to the clutch assembly? Great video if replacing the compressor is my only option. Thanks
I really don’t think there’s room, but if you can make it happen let us know!
I can't believe that was able to pull it off. I was able to replace the clutch and coil without opening the system. As I said earlier I was able to detach the compressor and rotate up to gain access to the pulley and clutch assembly without opening the system. I took pictures but I don't see any option here to attach them
Great job man!
Very, very, nicely done. Wish my videos were this good. If you'd like, I'll have a set on my LOADpro leads sent to you...
Never tried those!!
They're the voltmeter leads that find corrosion wiring that people either love or hate - oddly. Email me at dan@brighterideas.com.
Do you know if the procedure/set-up is the same on a 2011 Sienna?
thanks, looks similar to lexus rx300 v6 3.0,i need to replace compressor too!
Did it look like the ac clutch was accessible thru front wheel skirting? I need to replace on es330
hi friend, when change a new compressor, need to put ac oil ?
compressor oil*
Often compressors come with oil in them but you need to confirm with the retailer. But yes new oil needs to go with new compressor
How much compressor oil should there be in the system?
On that sienna I was working on, the total oil in the system should be 4.5oz. But you need to check your specific model/year for the exact amount
Why did you need to replace the compressor to begin with?
I wander why toyota could not just give an extra 1/2 in of space between the chase and all the accessories.
how much to replace or to get a new one??
Plug your year/model into the repair pal website and it will give you a decent quote based on your area
I was worrying about your watch
Yeah, she’s damaged for sure...
