  • Mercedes-Benz has given it's compact MPV B-Class a midlife facelift. It includes subtle styling changes, and a lot of technical innovations. The car now features Collision Prevention Assist Plus as standard. There is also a pure electric version, called the Electric Drive.

*It's an MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) NOT a **_Mini-Van_** and very practical all round. Thank you.*

Hello Marek, thumbs up. How about the B class NGD version? I would like to buy a used 2013/14 B class Automatic. What to choose between 180cdi (1.8L) or NGD (there are 2000 Euro difference here in Italy)?

No clue. I've never driven one. NGD is not very popular in Poland.

I hope I'm not too late, but maybe there are other people who would like to know that. So, we got the 200cdi (also 1.8l) with automatic. And even though there are certainly more fun cars to drive, you feel like you always have enough power with that engine. The automatic also works very well and fast, but if you are used to smooth torque converters in the likes of ZF ones you might notice that the shift from 1st to 2nd is a bit rough sometimes; I guess the 1st gear could be a bit longer.

Is the AMG version available with a manual gearbox?

You can choose AMG Line styling with any petrol or diesel engine and gearbox.

I was referring more to this 2l engine, if it can be chosen with a manual because i'm seeing that more and more manufacturers are starting to ditch manuals in favor of double clutches in their higher powered models. I'd pick a manual over an automatic any day

Marek why are you noticeably less cranky in your reviews lately?

Either they're better cars, or I'm getting old. Will try to be more grumpy in the future.
