Your mum should have her own cooking channel. All her food looks wonderful! I was in Nice last weekend for my birthday. Absolutely loved every minute there.
Your parents are blessed….they have three very good looking kids. The eye candy son; the cute fashionista, your sis; then the beautiful, kind and absolutely adorable you!
I was just thinking about that. I have had a lot of meat and other things that are not so great in big quantities and much less vegetables and fruits. I am going to be more aware of that now.
These are my favourite type of videos Lucie. I hope you do more of these in the future. It would be really interesting to see what you eat as a family in the winter.
I made this salad yesterday and followed it to a T - including the grainy mustard and it’s so delicious ❤ even better the next day ❤ I’m French, but French Canadian (father) and my mother is Irish.
As a teen I was lucky enough to spend one vacation every year with a French family. Just like at home in Germany their everyday food was homemade, simple and healthy apart from the white baguettes. At least once per week there were lunch or dinner invitations for or by family and friends. And boy, these meals did last about 4 hours. We never gorged ourselves just spaced out the three or four courses. There was always an apéritif and then wine during the meal, even for the teens. That is where I developed my lifelong abstinence. The meals and the entire chatty atmosphere were fabulous.❤
Oh my goodness! I so enjoyed this video. Love walking with you throughout the city. They were so beautiful. Your family is so gorgeous. Please give your mom a tip from me. Put a small bowl of water next to where she chops the onions and her eyes will no longer burn. I thought it was a joke until I tried it. The food looks delicious. I too think your mom should have her own channel. I will subscribe. I also, love watching you shop at the small markets. This was such a fun video. Nutrition, health,life,family...!
Please keep this up! The only "healthy recipe" videos i can find are either not healthy or tasteless. I'd like more ideas of healthy, tasty meals like this.
Would love to follow your mom on a cooking , lifestyle, and style channel! She is closer to my age and so relaxing to listen to and love the recipes she makes!!❤
In love with your mom .What a classy lady.No wonder you are so adorable.I’ve spend time in Toulouse and love the easy cooking and simple ingredients the French use on everyday cooking.❤ She inspired me .
Great video!! I love the fresh markets. The fruits &veggies taste so much better. I love watching your mom cook. The dishes look so good. Provence looks quite beautiful. I hope one day to visit that area and definately Nice. Thanks so much for sharing.🥰
I’m making dinner , I’ve got my doors open to the garden it’s blowing up a storm but I’m channeling your south of France vibes even if I flood the kitchen!!! Your mammy is so elegant and classy! Greetings from Pays de Galles 🏴🏴🏴🏴 xxxx
Great video!!! I'm always surprised how many veggies are in your meals! (Which is not at all like here in the USA!) I want to try some of those recipes. 😋
Loved loved this vid! I just love to get ideas from you mom on salads. She makes satiating and healthy salads. Only now I know to make proper salads!😅 It was so nice to watch you all actually shopping at the farmers’ market….can never get sick of those. Also thanks for showing us around Aix en Provence and Nice. You can also do videos on actually showing details of these cities….the different shops….going inside them, showing us the different restaurants (even from just outside), parks, whatever. For us it is like site seeing and touring via your video. It’s nice to know of places in case we visit, and also relaxing to watch!
I am from Barcelona and we do that sauce as well, is very typical Catalonia sauce, we called ALIOLI.. meaning garlic and oil. We eat it also with meats,,and some rices..as well. in catalan ALL ( garlic) OLI (oil).
I lived 3 years in France from 18-21 with a couple different host families and this makes me nostalgic for these recipes. ❤ btw, I'm now 45, and your mom looks like she could be one of my peers. She's so youthful!
You, your mom, and your sister all have amazing and different style!!! Would love to see a style video between the 3 of you!! Love your videos as usual! Xx from Greece
Reminds me of the mother of my step brother's wife. French food is sometimes really simple, easy things - The baguette is so important and the fact they are top quality and easily available is so important. Haricot vert; radishes with salt butter and baguette, a good Camembert with a good baguette. And then my step sister's Provencal mother made gratins all the time. Love Nice.
I loved the video, such wonderful yet simple French cooking. And I really enjoyed the brief periods of hearing people parler en francais... as a French student, c'est super!
Thank you, Lucie! What wonderful recipes, and your family seems great. Thank you for sharing another excellent video, and even a glimpse of Nice. Your recommendations are always terrific.❤
You and your mother are absolutely stunning. I love seeing your mother cook and want to make her recipes. What incredible tomatoes from the garden and the cheese from the market looked delicious.
I’m so envious of French markets. The irony is that I live in a ‘market’ town in the UK. Our first market was run by monks in 1080, but it gradually got smaller and smaller thanks to people shopping at supermarkets. It finally closed in 2020. 😢
Yes. Here in UK it’s way harder to get the produce they get in France etc because of climate, lack of decent markets and plastic-wrapped imported vegetables being the cheapest. It sucks. I think if I lived somewhere like that beautiful salads etc would be 1000x more appealing than in the pouring rain 300 days a year. Ok I’m exaggerating but you know what I mean. (West of Scotland .. 🌧️)
So sad ! I live in France and yes I go to supermarkets but I buy the biggest part of vegetables, fruits, eggs, poultry, cheeses at my local market. The market is always crowded and at the end I stop to get a coffee at a local cafe… good time, always !
beautiful all around, and although someone else commented that your mom should have her own channel ~ we can appreciate the charm of freeing her time and having a close kin caring for these details ... thank you for creating something so wonderfully unique (your story angle/ experience) to help teach us all ... (((🙏🙏🙏🕊💐🕊🍃)))
From the USA. Its called a "garlic press" in English. I really enjoy watching you cook meatless meals. I am trying to eat less meat and eat more vegetable meals but I do not have enough recipes. thank you for sharing.
Great video in the south of France, healthy food, beautiful views. I like your little alliteration as well...Nice has really nice people! Your mom is a doll. I can see where you get your beauty and grace and smarts from.
That tool is simply called a garlic press in English. Thanks for showing off all that beautiful scenery of the region. I want a vacation now! I am lucky to live in an area where I have similar outdoor farm markets and I shop there every week. Unfortunately it’s in the parking lot of a train station so the atmosphere is not the same.
Loved seeing all the beautiful places, the beach, the market and all the delicious food! Can’t wait to visit France some day. I am still studying French, so I’ll be ready!
I love to watch and make these kinds of videos and this one was so particular! I loved that your mom is explaining in details the recipes, and that you showed the market and clips from the city your parents live in!
That big one, the tomato, is heirloom and they are beautiful and delicious, I happen to love their gorgeous shapes and deep colors and love them in salads and sandwiches.
I lived with a French family in aix-en-provence when I studied abroad during college. Was 1984. Great experience but was too young to really get the benefit of such an awesome experience. Would love to go back someday.
Loved Nice when I visited over 28 yrs ago. Went parasailing there for the first time with my younger brother. Wasn’t crazy about the beach full of rocks (instead of sand), but other than that it was absolutely beautiful.
Love this vlog! I love the way you guys bond. Your father is quite a handsome man😃. Above all these you are so beautiful inside and out. Thank you for showing us your lifestyle. Learning a lot. God bless you and your family.
I love the idea of mixing white and brown rice, but how do you get it to cook evenly? Your mom is providing me with a lot of inspo of what I can be (we're about the same age). Thank you for filming and to her for agreeing to be filmed!
loved this: lovely meals and such elegant people: i would love to live in the south; had a week in agay this year; and nice and cannes my favourite cities: unfortunately the south is so expensive; so i live full time in the charante in france; but try to go south as much as possible
Your mom should have her own channel. Would love to know about her style, recipes and lifestyle.
I keep telling her that!!
@@Edukalebylucie YES, your mom is so natural in front of the camera. BTW- What's the tag on her white and blue dress, it's super cute!
Yes, please. A lot of us here are closer to her age, so it's very inspirational..
I would love to subscribe and follow your mother too❤
@@hangingwithjen I'd also like more info on her dress. Looks easy enough to sew if I had details on the neckline and shoulder tie (?).
Your mom has such a radiant youthful energy about her. If I saw her I would never think she has a grown daughter
Aww thank you I agree 💕
She looks like her older sister or an aunt: WOW!
Your mom is so comfortable in front of the camera!!! She is so adorable to watch!🤗🤗

French people eat insanely healthy, it's admirable
Your mum should have her own cooking channel. All her food looks wonderful!
I was in Nice last weekend for my birthday. Absolutely loved every minute there.
Putting garlic, ginger, and black pepper in plain greek yogurt(1tsp. of each per 4oz. Greek yogurt) makes for a lovely veggie dip, as well.
Thanks for the tip!
