I was playing Cassette Beasts for the first time today and when this song started to play automatically felt nostalgic for something I still don't know what is
Lyrics/Vocal music is a bit rarer in games sometimes but as soon as the vocals kicked in for this track during the first area in the game i fell in love with the music and the game too.
Exactly the same. I just stopped progressing the dialogue and listened and then came here to look for it. Very peaceful and nostalgic. Bitter sweet. Mostly sweet. But it does make you miss something.
The fact that this version of the song only plays when inside of a building really makes you want to slow down and not rush into everything. Just sit back and take everything in
Same. I also misheard "a lack of wind but abundance of air" for "a lack of whens but abundance of ifs" which I think still fits the theme of being stuck in the unknown.
I oftentimes struggle to get a game to hook me in, and whenever one does it's usually due to one stellar moment or detail. This song is what's done it for me with this game; I didn't expect to be hit in the feels as hard as I have.
Lyrics courtesy of the wiki: Do you feel it The lack of wind but abundance of air We’re all in the same ship Floating somewhere without any aim But at least we’re together As we tether and link our arms as we think That there’s no getting out here I don’t know you but we’ll make the most of Wherever we are now Slow floating under the stars now It’s okay to be uncertain, cause I’m certain it’s fine To be floating here for a while With you, wherever we are now We’re not dead suspended in a place of hush, not upset Just puzzled by the sense of bemusement It’s amusing losing all of our direction, now we’re lost Tell me which way you wanna go Tell me how far you’re thinking and I swear if you wanna go I’ll be right there by your side And honestly it can go Either way but I think I’m alright With the chance that we might end up Right back here Wherever we are now Slow floating under the stars now It’s okay to be uncertain, cause I’m certain it’s fine To be floating here for a while With you, wherever we are now
@@Hailstormful yeah i know that, but i was going to comment about the name of a specific endgame song, a random camp dialogue, and a fact we learn about her when we improve relationship with her.
This song reminds me of my Mom. She passed away suddenly 2 years ago, and she was the best friend I'll ever have, the best friend that anyone COULD have. We were SO CLOSE that, even other people who lose their Mom, they have no idea what I'm going through. A lot of the things said in this song are things that she said to me while I was going through tough times (and I've been through A LOT of em). She always lived her life for others and to make us all happy. Out of all of us in our family, she deserved a long life and a happily ever after more than anyone. It's not fair she's gone. She was the most wonderful person who had ever or will ever grace this Earth. The song makes me sad, but it also makes me feel this comfort that only she made me feel. I miss her so goddamn much every day. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Truly, thank you so much for this. ❤❤❤
Sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine a world without her. She raised me without a father and she did the most marvelous and unselfish job. I'm sure your mom is still looking after you, even though she isn't here anymore. It's cliche but she would want you to be happy and make a lot of great memories. I think that's what I'll tell myself anyways when that day comes.
This song kinda gives me the feeling that despite all these people being taken from their homes, they arn't alone, and can make it through it all together.
If I had to give a defining feeling to what the OST of Cassette beasts makes me feel, it would be Comfy. It gives a feeling of being wrapped up in a comfy blanket on a cold day with a hot drink in a mug, all condensed into a little song for a Cafe. Just comfortable vibes.
Man, the more I listen to this theme I enjoy the subtle brilliance of this song. I decided to focus on the drum section for hearing, and I do enjoy the fact that when they get to "Now we're lost" the drums actually break the pattern they've been on for pretty much the entire song. As if it's actually lost it's way from the pattern/path it was on the whole time, all the way until we hit "Right back here or Wherever we are now" then it got back on track/pattern. I could still be reading too much into it, but it's fun to notice stuff and speculate like this.
This song is like a slow, addicting poison. It makes me feel like I could stay in the moment with the singer forever, just relax, and slowly drift off. It's like the sirens who tried to convince Odyssius to stay because everything was so perfect. Like Odyssius I have to pry myself away from paradise to go complete my own quests, live my life, but the song calls me back.
I was in a deep depression, even with.. this only person I had for me, she wasn’t here for comfort me in my dark moments. All I see and think was nothing, I felt like even with my open eyes, I didn’t see anything. It was a horrible time, I was very emotionless. But when I play this game.. my heart was.. feeling great. It was like this game comforted me. The characters, the story and the music… it was something I never felt before. Now I am alright for myself and I open my heart to everyone, but I still have scars of it. Thank you Cassette Beasts for "curing" my loneliness on my heart ❤️ (my English is bad ik but I’d win)
Demoralized by a period of general gaming dissatisfaction, I recently downloaded Cassette Beasts to relax, hoping to find a simple game that would remind me of old-gen RPGs-not necessarily beautiful or stimulating, but just chill. Instead, I found a well-crafted, charismatic game with its own identity despite the colossal brand it draws inspiration from, and a stunning soundtrack. This track, in particular, gives me a sense of serenity and nostalgia, as if I were experiencing old feelings... Truly a small oasis in the desert. Fun fact: 1:11 I thought it was saying, "Whatever Rihannaaaa."

Yeah, this and Same Old Story really catch you on the lyrics, since you just expect the themes to just be instrumental. But as soon as you enter Gramophone Cafe or other buildings in Harbourtown and hear vocals "engaged" in the theme you get a sense this soundtrack is going to be memorable. And when you first get Fusion and hear that lyrics activate in battle from fusing it makes the battle themes more dynamic as well.
It makes me remember my young days where I would enjoy Pokémon with true vigor and eagerness. It truly touches me, and, I'd be lying to say that I wasn't near tears playing this game because it truly took me back to my childhood for a brief while there. My biggest regret is that I'll never get to experience it all for the first time, again.
Nobody will ever have to listen to this song online. If you wish to heal without using resources and you have Fast Travel, you will hear this song every 5 seconds. It's still an absolutely awesome song but omg you'll never forget where this plays.
I just wanna make sure I can't be the only one that thought she said "we're all in the same shit" the first like 3 times I heard this song lmao. I had to think isnt this rated E? Before I realized she was saying ship😂
This piece is utterly fantastic. I can only describe the feeling of listening to this music by simply saying that I had this game running in the background while tabbed out in the hub, just to listen to this while trying to get myself into a productive mood. It's the perfect feel-good relaxing theme, and makes me hopeful that we will see even more like this from the team in the future.
It's actually the theme for the main hub, but this version only activates when you enter major buildings in the hub. Really does just make the main hub feel like your "home away from home"
It's strange, the lyrics remind me of the vocal tracks from the Drawn to Life games, while the guitar reminds me of some songs from the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series. It's like a fusion of two game series' close to me. ❤
it isn't really a pokemon clone in my mind anymore, it's got a lot of the formula in there, but i feel like it's got so much special to it, kinda like how digimon also has a lot of similarities to pokemon, but isn't really a clone

Do you feel it
The lack of wind but abundance of air
We’re all in the same ship
Floating somewhere without any aim
But at least we’re together
As we tether and link our arms as we think
That there’s no getting out here
I don’t know you but we’ll make the most of
Wherever we are now
Slow floating under the stars now
It’s okay to be uncertain, cause I’m certain it’s fine
To be floating here for a while
With you, wherever we are now
We’re not dead
suspended in a place of hush, not upset
Just puzzled by the sense of bemusement
It’s amusing losing all of our direction, now we’re lost
Tell me which way you wanna go
Tell me how far you’re thinking
and I swear if you wanna go
I’ll be right there by your side
And honestly it can go
Either way but I think I’m alright
With the chance that we might end up
Right back here
Wherever we are now
Slow floating under the stars now
It’s okay to be uncertain, cause I’m certain it’s fine
To be floating here for a while
With you, wherever we are now
Thanks!
The line "Suspended in a place of hush, not upset" I couldnt make out just hearing it so now I know! 😂
Instead of "We’re not dead, suspended in a place of hush, not upset" I always hear "I'm not that suspended, in a place of her Schneider".
