I've had an idea for a challenge run of my own for a while now: Reqiured Monsters only. Basically, any monster that the game forces you to catch in order to progress the game. Also your starter becuase it is the first thing you are given and you need to fight with it, and the Donimoth you get from the tutorial since it is required Extra rules would be: -Party members cannot use their signature tape, execpt for the final battle. -You can only have one of each monster, but you can evolve it. -You can record other monsters for the purposes of completing quests and ripping off their stickers.
@@RidiculousTies I mainly said no as it forces you to use monsters that you normally wouldn't. Most of the partner tapes are arguably some of the strongest monsters in the game (especially Brushroom). It's just to have more varitey.
13:28 I’ve seen a friend find the mirror before even fighting any archangels past morgante. The requirements were basically “put a crate behind the ranger station”, and it turns out that barrels count as crates. And there’s a stack of barrels right next to the ranger station. So they just happened to knock barrels down there which made the mirror appear. However you can’t enter the mirror until you have defeated at least 4 archangels and been sent to Ohio by Aleph.
Honestly, Bootlegs are better than Shinies. They're not just a pallet swap, they have different typings (most of the time) and learn completely different moves. Like, I found two Bootlegs so far normally (I got the Bootleg Braxsuit via an NPC, but I don't count that), a Bootleg Carniviper (still a Poison Type) and a Bootleg Bulletino (Glitter Type), and they honestly rock. Glitter Bulletino really mixes things up with it's type changing ability. Also, Jormungold is pronounced like Jormungandr, which has a slient "J", and Maridusa has the name Mari in it, so it'd be pronounced "Mari-Dusa". Hope this helps!
You're not allowed to interact with the pumpkins until you lower the bridge. That's when the farmer gives you permission. Also you're completely right that Kuneko is awesome. There's a reason that stuff is cliche, it *works*.
My first cassette beasts run got KINDA overpowered because of a shop selling the most OBSCENE sticker ever. A Rare Roll Again, with +Chance, +Chance per empty slot, AND *AFFECTS ALL ALLIES* And *YES* they do stack. I kinda 1 turn killed Aleph because of all the basic attacks being fired off
you have inspired me to do a plastic monotype run 🫡 cassette beasts really does have quite a lot of challenge run potential and it's a shame there's only been a few on youtube. bootlegs only seems pretty fun once you get past the earlygame

I've been OBSESSED with this game since my friend introduced it to our group. Genshin used to be the most talked about game in the gaming channel of our discord, but now it think Cassette Beasts has overtaken it 😅 which is saying alot. three of us have finished the game at least once, with two more on their way (they work longer hours, so have less time to game in general). there is also a (playful) war going on to decide which is the superior starter, and subsequent different final remasters of said starters. I am unbiased, and wish I could somehow get both at the start of the game. candevil and wooltergheist fusion would be hecking ADORABLE. my end goal is to get Magikrab (Astral Traffikrab Bootleg).
I did this myself a few weeks ago, with the bootleg puppercut as my starter too the big difference is i murdered off my ally for not having a bootleg and i also got my first bootleg outside the starter at the same place except mine was an electric faucetear, fun playthrough im still continuing post game going for full bestiary bootleg only.
Boutta sound like a lil goofy 🤓 but when you were trying to get a jumpkin, its not that you have to get a certain amount of Skelly Jelly. You just have to beat the hyper jellyton, then you get the ability to smear the jelly on jumpkin!

Bootleg monsters are better than regular monsters, this hardly seemed like a challenge. I would like to see an all same party team. Or a makeshift mono team. There’s passives and other moves to change typings, can still search for good stickers. Bootlegs are just too good
Bootlegs aren't better than normal monsters, it's more of a side-grade, while they do get rarer stickers more easily they still have the same stats. Part of the challenge also comes from the rarity of them, 1:1000 isn't as rare as Pokemon's 1:4000 (about I forgot the specific number), but it still took several hours of walking back and forth to get my entire team. I got SUPER lucky with their types, allowing for a unique strategy I hadn't seen at the time the video was made. As for another challenge.. I've thought about doing a mono-type team but I've got something else cooking right now.

It can be a bootleg but it's tied to the seed so you can't reset for rng, it's always the same.
