Hi. I've just encountered the same problem. However, from the beginning the security boot's status is enabled. Tried to disabled and enabled it again. My DELL restarted again yet it went back to the BitLocker Recovery page. Can anyone help me?
Ultimately this will become a Catch-22. In a few years when the computer won't start anymore and you try to read data from your drive you won't be able to, and without the computer being able to run you won't be able to recover the key as shown in this video.
Oh my god I AM CRYING 😭 thank you so much I have watched the ‘no bootable device available’ video and then this one to fix my laptop and it worked. THANK YOU. I have given you some money. Thank you so much
On after Step 2 restarting PC it asks for the Bitlocker Recovery key. I do not have any Recovery key. I do not have the option to start the machine and see the start menu.
I can't able to enable secure boot... It shows that "secure boot flow control. Secure boot is possible only if the system runs in user mode" what should I do now..
for new update window 10 the keyword to search for recovery key is a little different, I don't remember the exact words. it a kind of bitlocker key or something like that. I thank you very much for you guiding to my recovery successfully.
Thank you. It did not work the first, second or third time. But after the fourth time, with a bit of time after resetting the bios bit before I turned the power back on, it worked! This is with a company Dell laptop, where I have administration rights, but still worked.
Crazy Coders Club I changed the Safety Boot to ‘enabled’ as per the video, but for the first three times of making this change the boot up went back to the Recovery blue screen. The fourth time it bypassed the blue screen. I think I left the laptop turned off for a few minutes before rebooting.
I dont understand how you get into windows again. I just get the blue screen that asks for the bitlocker key everytime I restart the machine. Even when I enable secure boot, it restarts and just asks for the bitlocker key. How do you pass this screen to get into windows in order to follow the next steps?

Yes sure. Actually I didn't recorded to upload or give solution. Just for my reference I recorded.. since that solution worked while recording I just thought it would help others and uploaded. Anyway thanks for your suggestion. I will consider it 😊
This will not work for an encrypted drive using BitLocker. If it was this easy to hack past the key then BitLocker would be useless. Your system did not lock you out. A simple reboot or removing a USB device would have the same results.
I totally agree with you. But, when I faced this issue, I just did what I have shown and it worked. As you mentioned it locked again..so once again I bypassed with safe mode and finally turned off the bitlocker encryption. I just thought of sharing so that it would help someone. But late I realised about bitlocker, so I have uploaded updated video on what to do when we face to this issue.

Microsoft support told me to do a custom reinstallation of windows and Dell said that I ve lost my data. With your help I can now use my laptop again without any data lost. I just cloned a drive of an older computer using my newer computer. I did notice it say bitlocker on the newly created partition but it never asked me anything about bitlocker and never gave me a key. Is that common for the system to screw you over that way? How do I prevent bitlocker from being applied in the first place?
Hi... Mine does not "start in secure mode" But even before that, the SECURE BOOT ENABLE option only has the option of "SECURE BOOT ENABLE" with an open box to check or uncheck. I uncheck the box, apply, and exit then it takes me back to the Bitlocker recovery page. Pleeeease help.

So what to do with Lenovo laptops running Win 10? I just went to use mine again after sitting for years and now for some reason after updates and a restart, I get the blue lock screen. Cannot get to Windows at all; goes straight from the boot to bitlocker screen. I actually *never* enabled or used bitlocker at all, so no idea why it's suddenly activated and locking me out. Anyway changing to secure boot does nothing. In fact I've fiddled around with every setting in BIOS I could change by trial and error, but nothing words, just back to blue screen on restart every time. Anyone have a fix/working method for Lenovos?
@@martyrose Yes, but you won't like it.... in the end I had to create a win10 USB install drive (since I have no disc drive). I had to change BIOS boot order to USB HDD and USB ACC first, in order to skip it going direct to HDD and the lock screen again. Once in the windows install menu, I could finally see the issue: some how the entire main partition was locked with bitlocker and its impossible to get to windows at all once that's the case. As to why, no idea, like I said I never touched BitLocker but it seems to have enabled itself after doing windows updates. In the end I had to delete and format the drive entirely. Lost all my files. That's the only solution I know of in this situation. Your alternative is trying to brute-force the password, which would take literally thousands of years. Sorry but if you're in this spot a wipe and reinstall of windows is it. I even spoke to Microsoft and Lenovo; both told me they couldn't be responsible for the situation and weren't sure why it happened, but they have no way to unlock BitLocker either if you don't have your code. Period. Kind of the whole point of secure encryption, but not so nice when it glitches out. When you do reinstall windows, be sure to go to the bios and make sure bitlocker is DISABLED in the options!
@@J.DeLaPoer Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I really appreciate it! Well, good news! I got the reset password key from one drive. I typed it in about 15 times and each time I either got no response or the password is incorrect. On the last, very frustrating try it finally took the password! YAY! I can honestly say I have no idea where this came from or how it was activated. Others have suggested it came with an update. IDK. Nobody else has ever used this laptop. It just appeared on startup. I called Lenovo and all they did was shrug their shoulders so, if you own a Lenovo, don't bother. Now, off to figure out how to remove or permanently disable this miserable sucker! Thanks again!

Thank u so much bro😀😀😀

Hi, I have been asked to enter bitlocker recovery key in my hp laptop. I am not sure whether my system has recovery key. Is it automatically set.
As far as I know my machine didn't have bitlocker installed.
Please assist as I am struggling for 3 days
Try understanding about bitlocker first. Then you will come to know what it is and what needs to be done.. either this vidoe should work or else try reaching HP for assistance if nothing works try formatting disk and reinstall fresh OS where you will loose all the data
Which lappy do u have?
