This method really works for the bit locked laptop but it leads to a completely formatted laptop. After this u need a bootable pendrive or so because it shows "no bootable device found". Thanks

I have received a large number of messages telling me that your computer is broken after applying these steps and you are getting messages about a boot device not detected. Perhaps for people with little experience, I should have clarified that it is necessary to make a USB boot drive with the OS on a separate computer, and after the formatting process is completed, it is necessary to boot from the USB flash drive to reinstall the OS. This needs to be done at 4:15 of the video.
You just saved my ass. BitLocker was driving me crazy. Though I use this method to format PenDrives, I never expected it to work seemlessly for the harddrive. Thanks a thousand time.

I have tried to reboot from USB after this but am unable to alter the BIOS settings to allow the USB to be in the "Boot Startup List". All the tutorials/advice I am finding is referring to accessing the BIOS from the OS, which no longer exists on mine. Do you have a video to help with this?
bios always boots prior to OS Its how computers function without OS installed. there should be a button like F7 or delete or esc you press repeatedly when its turning on to get to your bios
If all steps are followed to the letter this process works!100% Just did it on a lennovo X1 with nvme locked with bitlocker. Your harddrive will be erased. That why it's called a format. After I reinstalled the OS from a bootable usb

I tried this on a HP Laptop, for me everything went well until 4:30, then instead of ‘Windows Setup’ screen, I got HP Sure Recovery screen saying “No operating system was found on this system. To reinstall the operating system, enter the 4-digit code shown below.” I entered the code, but then nothing happens 😢

This did remove everything but when i finally get to the screen where we select the drive and format the drive to install new windows, there is no drive available to install the windows. It does not show any drive at all to install windows on it.

To remove BitLocker If I format c: drive would that also delete the factory reset recovery especially if I have to delete and recreate Disk0, since I don't have the Windows OS on a flash drive or the key that can help me reinstall, please let me know thanks

Yes, otherwise you will have a computer without system and unable to do anything. You NEED to have some way of installing the system again and pendrive is the most convenient one

If automatic repair does not help, you need to reinstall the OS, but there is a chance that you will lose your information.
