Is Red The New Common Wire On Your Sprinkler System

The common wire on your sprinkler system is the wire every valve is spliced into and it is the wire that is bringing power back to the controller to complete the circuit. We usually use the color white for the common wire on the irrigation installation jobs that we do, but I have seen green, I have heard of guys using black, and now I have seen red. Wow. But I guess it doesn't matter as long as the same color is used for the common wire throughout the entire system.
