this is one of my favourites from Em. Songs like this aren't just for shock value, its the talent between the words that amazes me the most but on these kinda songs especially (I'm back, Criminal, Role Model etc) you can hear so much passion and love for the craft in every syllable. The shock value adds to it of course but its like no other rap I have heard. Nothing can ever come close to what this man has done and continues to do. Em is just the GOAT when it comes to rap and always will be, idc what anyone says.
It's genuinely so much fun watching someone find em I've been a huge fan for 25 years and still catch things all the time that makes what I already thought was amazing song that much better.
The Columbine lines are censored because the shootings were really recent at the time and that's why this is my favorite album of all time. Your reactions are amazing by the way! Fun Fact: Remember Me transitions perfectly into this song. It has the children cheering at the very end going into I'm Back.
Notice many of Em's songs have a very pop-like song structure. [Chorus - verse - chorus - verse - bridge - chorus-chorus] could be considered as the baseline pop song structure. Starting a song with a double chorus is designed to get the hook stuck in your head as fast as possible. He took HipHop from the underground and brought it to the main stage.
It is uncanny ngl. His smile and his dumbfounded laughs are pretty identical to what I imagine I looked like when I heard this for the first time growing up.

Kim is a song by Eminem, on the unedited version of the MMLP. the edited version has "Drugs are bad" while the unedited version has "Kim". "Kim" is probably the rawest song Em ever made imo, I know people that literally cant listen to it.
When he’s reviewing and pausing the classic Em songs I keep on rapping been a fan since his first album. I was 8 years old. Only knowledge of rap was my moms 2pac hits album and my sisters Eminem album
Its crazy that the "Should I dye my hair pink and care what y'all think? Lip sync, and buy a bigger size of ear rings?" Still applies to a lot of people 23 years later.
I can’t remember where I heard it but Em said somewhere that the kitten line was something that really happened in his neighbourhood, someone actually cut a kittens head off and stuck it in his mail box, so he switched it up.

You might remember the "spoiler" line from rap god where he says the columbine line with the kids 1:1 again and adds "See if I get away with it now that I ain't as big as I was", refering to being censored or not again. Little fun fact: I don't know how intentional that was, but I love how "Remember Me?" is track 9 on the MMLP and "Rap God" is track on the MMLP2. In his Remember Me verse, he has this "I promised to fucking critics I wouldn't say "fuckin" for six minutes" line and the little "six minutes, slim shady are on", which get's repeated at the beginning of Rap God and the song is actually 6 minutes long.
