Most epic comparison ever when we put these two phones together as we just put two monster head to head and fight with each other , no doubt razer phone appear to be the most challenging and strongest competitor to the XZ premium indeed , you may call it a tie but do not forget one thing here , its not just 835 vs 835 but the different here is the massive 8 gb of ram from razer phone vs 4 gb ram from XZ premium !! And the result......tie or maybe XZ premium performance a little bit better than razer phone in some aspect .
These phones maybe not that noble and expensive compared to note 8 or iphone X , but they're really worth winning the respect and admiration of all of us !!
Especially XZ premium , that 4 gb ram memory and smoothness still comparable to the 8 gb ram from razer phone ......what can I say again......just one word to describe "insane".
Lastly I want to give my respect to the razer company , for the first time they create a smartphone but the result turns out just amazing !! 👊👍👍

Fyi stay away from their midrange phones, my old Xperia c5 Ultra is 2 years in and can't hold a charge for less 10 minutes. They put most of their best r&d in premium flagship phones.

I recently replaced the battery on my c5 today. It makes quite the difference. I'm not sure what I did to screw the battery up, but it uses the same battery from a xperia z4. It performs quite well when the phone is in its prime. It was a laggy mess near the end of it's battery life.

Christian Andersson how do you figure? The xperia gives pure whites as oppose to pure blacks from the note, no pixel degradation of risk of burn in. I think some of the best color reproduction and detail reproduction as well due to xreality for mobile. And for vr the 4k hdr display gives less pixel growth compared to the Galaxy. I would take a solid ips panel any day of any amoled. I cant wait for Sony to start using MicroLED technology

XZ premium is one of the most underrated smartphone of 2017 I think..
Yet it was crowned the 2017 king at mobile world congress... It wasn't just for show damn that is a masterpiece.
sony is a highly underated brand the only reason samsung is well known is bc they support cdma and gsm and they owe alot of their populairty to the s6 and before due to changing not only the micro sd but the battery 2 and they advertise alot

This was the only phone which gave the XZ Premium a tough battle, Razer can open apps little faster whereas XZ premium opens games a little faster, but that's what we expect since Razer is a gaming company, it has to be faster.

Very close performance. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium booted up (very) slightly faster than the Razer Phone. It loaded Temple Run 2, Subway Surfers and Angry Birds 2 faster. The Razer Phone loaded apps and the rest of the games faster. Overall both are very fast phones.

Breath-taking close match but I still prefer the XZ Premium. 4K HDR display, and can actually do 120Hz in 1080p (lower resolution than the Razer's 1440p but it's all well worth it).
Razer got better speakers but XZ Premium still has some great ones that I have no complaint at all.
But Razer did a great job of optimizing the software here.
Probably the reason that these phones are so good in performance is that both are gaming companies (Razer on laptops and Sony on consoles).

i cant choose what to get xz premium or razer - first i wanted xz premium, now i want razer because: xz premium has good camera, good display, nice design but - very low speaker volume no high refresh display, not a fully metal body like z2 was which i have and is perfect working, other hand razer has excellent speaker sound, high refresh display, bigger screen but, shit camera... and low screen brightness so i cant choose

8GB RAM is overkill. Android and app multitasking functionality can't use it. People rip off Sony because of the bezels, but forget about everything else that's so great. Had my XZP since launch and couldn't be happier
Razer phone = 650£ xzp= 250£ now these prices are both from cex in A grade condition. The xzp has a better camera water proofing and a ton more over the razer phone and let's not forget the 400£ difference lol

the screen actually looked soooooo much better on the sony. also, i bet those static app pictures showed up slower on Sony only because of the 4K res, while razer was generally slower for games as it has higher frame rate.

i like the razor stereo speakers and 120hz display but overall the sony xz premium is the best phone of 2017. sony has the best display on a phone, has headphone jack, waterproof ip68, stereo speakers that now with oreo sounds really good and optimize their phones really good and gets probably the fastest updates seperate from the pixel phones.

I feel like the Razer was almost a knock-off with the placement of the finger-print sensor and button that Sony had for ages, and while my eyes have definitely been appreciating the crisp 4k curves far more than I would fps, I may be missing out on the battery life, but it's not worth downgrading all of the other specs.
I own numerous Xperia™ smartphones, and I appreciate Japanese circuitry and their optimal efficiency for reliable power delivery through such massive processors. The XZ Premium is the best of them, as it id very stable and powerful.

I wanted to try the razor phone but imo it was to expensive for what you get.
It costs 800€ and I'm not sure about update policy, the screen isn't as nice looking as some of the competition same goes for the camera.
The only thing it has running for it is the 8gb and 120hz.
The premium for example is below 600€ the s8+ is around 650.

XZ Premium can also do 120Hz in 1080p. And SD835 vs SD835, both well-optimized, I think both are evenly matched in terms of pure performance, but the XZ Premium has brighter display.
I have the xzp. Love it. But Razor is also very good. Don't mind having either...

Well 1440p 120 Hz is better than 4K 60 Hz even on *much* larger screens, let alone here. Tbh I even prefer 1080p cos it's easier on battery and games and it's indistinguishable from higher resolutions on 6> inch screens. 4K makes sense only for VR?

I'd still have the XZ Premium. Way better camera, water proofing, amazing panel with accurate colours and classy build. Although the speakers aren't as good as the Razors', it still beats any phone that doesn't have front firing sterep speakeds
