I'm totally shocked with the XZ Premium. Even with an older generation processor it was basically as fast as the S9 Plus. Damm, Sony!

Sony has done good job with the software optimization with the XZP so even if the phone has last year's SOC it's not far from Samsung S9

SONY phones are so damn well optimized. The XZ PREMIUM is a great phone (I've used it for about 9 months) and I have said it before and I will say it another 1000 times.... SONY phones are the most underrated phones on the market.

Hicham Laframe sure. The XZ PREMIUM does not heat at all. It's very fast, very snappy and in a year of using it there have been zero heat issues.
The main camera is quite good. I've been happy with its landscape and Close up pics. The camera also does well in low light based on a lot of night time, and dusk pics I've taken. The slo mo and predictive capture are great features in my opinion and I have used both quite a lot. For me the pics look great on the 4K HD screen and when zooming in can see lots of detail and the colours really pop.
The selfie camera is good so far as I can tell.... though I will be honest and say I am not a bit selfie taker, but the few selfies I have taken seem totally fine to me.
@@hichamlaframe1582 I had an xz and the selfie camera is good. Main camera wasn't so good.
I now have an Xperia xz1 which is fast and cheap £299/ 390 us dollars.
Camera is the best on an Xperia so far in my opinion. (main and selfie cameras are same on xzp apparently)

I traded my S8 for a xz prem recently. I was going to wait for the new model but I don't like the 2:1 aspect gimmick, and I couldn't stand the s8's curved screen. I'm happy so far.

Tech from 2017 is so good now that 2018, 2019 and 2020's tech offers nothing significantly new. I have a GS8 and as a back up phone, I bought a pre owned XZ Premium off Ebay 2 weeks ago for £95 and its a great phone. Fast as hell and the camera quality is spot on. I also bought a 2nd hand Huawei P20 Pro for £160 and again, what an amazing phone. I now have 3 phones which I'll just keep and use for the next 10 years. I'll never have to buy a new phone again. It's just unnecessary now at this point.

I've seen numerous videos of the XZ against various other newer phones and while the Sony is always slower to boot it nearly always outperforms everything else its impressive to see how well the XZ is holding up
Interesting comparison. I think thats what you get with 6GB of ram. I'd like to see S9 vs XZP because they have 4GB each. It'd be interesting to see how the SD845 compares then.

Texts, images, everything just sharper on the xz premium. Speed really neck and neck even with an older processor. Puts Sammy to shame here.
With Temple Run 2, my XZ Premium is much faster than S9+. Then, XZ has 4K display with some applications, so XZ wins in my opinion.

SAM TV supersaf...O...i know that guy , but his not the only reviewer bro , actually , I like Sony still using the lcd screen , amoled or oled is good but still has a weakness too , there always has an inburn problem although there has a bettest contrast than ips lcd , the xz2 use lcd screen along with the corning gorilla glass 5 , but it products the clean and super sharp image and with a rich contrast absolutely masterpiece bro . well ...talk about the bezels this xz2 has a less top and bottom bezel than the xzp which it's an improvement from the last year xperia , other than that the xz2 also improves and adds some great feature like the front cam scanner ( the scanner mode now is more better than before ) and the much better superior auto mode from rear camera which let you take a good picture either in well light or low light condition , and...ya the 845 snapdragon ( be warn ...the Sony 845 processor is not the same like the other brand smartphone , it is much more speed and stable than the Samsung Exynos or kirin ... For example the xzp ) also Sony 4gb ram is much better and stable than the other brand smartphone...it even can make an equal performance with the 8gb ram razor phone last year , if you haven't seen the match between razor phone vs xzp then go and watch it .
Supersaf is a good reviewer bro but if you want to know the worthy about the phone ...don't watch the unboxing channel , go watch the speed test or comparison channel .
I'm not a fan boy my friend , I use Samsung before but believe me the quality is not same at all , when I hold and use the Sony phone ...what I can say is all quality ...thats it , the improvement of the Sony phone also is one of the reason that I'm steak using their phone until now .

Why do people always confuse speed and power. The Sony looks faster due to the faster animations. Go into developer options and set the animation speeds the same and you'll see the difference. The S9 is running 1.0 or 1.5 standard the Sony is at least 0.5. If the S9 has to render a slower animation and can beat or be a split second slower than something running faster animations , that shows true speed not fast animations.

I recently upgraded to S8+ but after watching these comparison videos i'm thinking about jumping back to Sony in the XZP after this contract (if they'll be in stock by then) tho the battery life is a worry. Vladimir if you have s8. No need to upgrade yet. Not evem 3 years. Last time I checked flags ships can keep up for longer. 1 year gap wasn't much. My last phone lasted 6 years so I really feel the upgrade.

Why even bother to have the latest hardware if your software is not up to it? xD Sony wins here tbh, with 2GB more RAM and a chipset that's considerably faster, Samsung should've been easily ahead by a bigger margin and more often. I'd like to see how the XZ2 fares.

XZ2 will beat the crap out of the S9+. The Exynos 9810 is a ruined powerhouse. The potential to beat an iPhone X in single core performance is wasted by the garbage software and lack of good optimization.
