Very nice! We had the Nautilus again a couple weeks after this for a road trip, the 2.7T would have come in handy, but either engine you go with is solid. Hope you like yours!

I think both vehicles are excellent for what they offer and both look fantastic on the road. For me, I'll take the XT5 over the Nautilus because it looks better, inside and out, stands out more in traffic and has excellent road feel for a FWD vehicle. I appreciate the Nautilus luxury features, looks excellent and is very understated but I'm an enthusiast when it comes to handling and cornering and the XT5 is for me over Nautilus any day of the week.
The XT5 was a really enjoyable vehicle on our second time with it during this week. The exterior paint and tail light options were a great touch for this year.
I was doing some lot hopping checking out a few different SUVs...Grand Cherokee, RDX, XT5, CX9, etc and one thing’s for certain...the Nautilus is FREAKIN’ STUNNING in person. It’s dang near impossible to stand next to one and not picture it in your driveway. Definitely the one that left the biggest impression out of the bunch.
I was impressed with the Lincoln when I drove it. In fact we had a chance to take it on a road trip a little while after filming this episode and absolutely loved it.
It is a good-looking vehicle, and I'm about as anti-crossover as you can get. Normally crossovers are invisible to me but I can't stop checking the Nautilus out. I just wish it had the next-gen interior like the Corsair and Aviator have.
You prolly dont care at all but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Maximo Briggs Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It's really a tough decision to make both are distinguished luxury crossover with great history I prefer the look of the Nautilus but the centre dash of the Cadillac looks better overall the Lincoln wins this showdown for me thanks mate what a great episode very informative like what we usually get from you wish you all the best... Cheers
Glad you liked it, thanks! I think we'll see a new interior from the Lincoln side of things with a full update when the Nautilus receives a ground-up redesign. The Cadillac should stay about the same since the new XT6 has a very similar layout.
XT5!!!! Love the gold carbon fiber the XT5 offers and the 3.6 V6 is amazing sounds great when pushing and much simpler in design compared to a turbocharged engine and that’s a winner for me!! not to mention nothing looks like a Cadillac the Lincoln will blend with Audi’s and other cars based off headlight design alone.
I bought a used 2019 XT5 Luxury with the 14 speaker Bose stereo about 1 year ago. I love the 6 cyl power and the on off switch for the 4 wheel drive. Very comfortable interior , I’m 6’1” and love the room inside. It has a wide track stance looks fantastic. Back seat can be moved forward and reclines for smaller passengers which will increase the rear storage area. Like the looks of both. Started out looking at the Lincoln MKX and the Cadillac SRX. Both used still holding high resale value.these two models are the new entry from those former models.
I wish more manufacturers would add the AWD switch on their vehicles, GM is one of the few that does, and the only one that has it on every model they sell. It's great for fuel efficiency, and much better when you know you have control over which wheels are getting power.
Based on own experience me driving Lincoln & Cadillac I know Lincoln has gorgeous interior & sound system which is a plus. & Cadillac has a more settled interior and a good sound system but I would choose the XT5 over Lincoln I love how it rides and handles
@@Dcfashionguru80 I couldn't agree more with you. It just took me a while to understand the gear shifter and not to rest my hand there while driving because it definitely would switch into another gear 😂
I'm 22 and I love the Nautilus so much more! But Cadillac definitly knows how to make a vehicle look youthful! I just have always wanted a Navigator! No clue why! Just loved the big suv! The new Aviator is amazing! Cadillac XT6 looks nice too though!
Congrats on the purchase! I'm really excited with what Lincoln is doing, they've listened to their customers and are working to make some fantastic vehicles.
Just leased the Lincoln today and it's a beauty. Turned in an MBZ GLE350 and the Lincoln had way more bells and whistle for a much better price and is an equally good looking car. Engine performance and handling is obviously better on the MBZ, but the Lincoln is a keeper (and it's cheaper and just as pretty) Got it in iced mocha with the light interior and it's just a beauty. I'm naming her "naughty" for Nautilus....
@@PRNTestDrive Funny thing though, it literally has every option one could want and need but did not come with a retractable rear cargo cover. Isn't that silly! so now I have to order one....and no split visor. Things that would cost and extra $12 on the assembly line....
What does your ideal Nautilus look like? I've got this one again this week and still love it, the 2.7TT might be the engine to get if you plan on keeping it, and the Black Label in the US would be sweet.
Jeremy Collins Sr. Yea I definitely would take the Lincoln but I’m also biased towards Lincoln’s lol but i also wish they updated the interior more with the refresh but I am definitely pumped to see the next generation in a few years.
I expect the Nautilus will receive a full generation update within a couple years. The Corsair & Aviator are the new vehicles (all-new, and major refresh) along with a few new features for the 2020 Navigator. We likely won't see a 2020 Nautilus redesign, but maybe for 2021.
Tech like the Super Cruise Control is definitely next-level tech, I just wish Cadillac was able to perfect it and roll it out across their fleet quicker.
The Cadillac interior looks way more modern and up to date compared to the lincoln ,and if have to chose between them both probably that will be the turning point ! both are great vehicles!
Trying to decide between these two. I thought this would help but now I am even more confused 😂 I love the Lincoln's outside appearance and the Cadillac's inner. Decisions decisions
Agreed, the interior is better on the Cadillac but exterior on the Lincoln. I think you have to choose the Cadillac until Lincoln addresses this vehicle's interior.
Overall fuel economy has improved dramatically across the board over the past 10-20 years, even some of the least efficient cars today are better than ever.
That was one of the best reviews I’ve ever watched, thanks. Looking at both plus the Acura, leaning a little towards the xt5 only because the last Ford product I had basically fell apart @ 100000.
I test drive the 2019 Nautilus and the 2020 XT5. I loved the exterior of the Nautilus but was deeply disappointed in the interior. After all the neat work they did on the Aviator and the Corsair this Nautilus looks like the red headed stepchild. The ride was ok. The XT5 had a much better interior and it looked more upscale. The Nautilus is just missing that luxury mark by a hair, so close but so far away. From what I can tell the 2020 Nautilus will not substantially change
We expect the Nautilus will get a complete revemp for the 2022 model year and look more like the Corsair/Aviator's interiors, unless Lincoln introduces styling changes with the new Nautilus.
I personally would have the xt5. The main reason is because the xt5 has a better interior design. The Lincoln’s interior is sooo outdated and it’s quite bad when the smaller Lincoln Corsair has a nicer interior. I like the xt5 for what it is. It’s not my favorite in the segment but I would choose it over the nautilus any day. Now if Lincoln would’ve put the new Interiors in the nautilus, then it would be a completely different story.
I'm not seeing any Chevy at all so I respectfully disagree. I prefer the Cadillac XT5. It just looks better in my opinion especially the interior. And I like the more sporty feel and appearance as well. Crossovers don't have to be boring to be luxurious. I think Cadillac struck the right balance.
Damn. This is still difficult. I love a comfy quiet ride, which is what Lincoln offers. But idk. You get way more features with the Cadillac. And the caddi is was more in your face when it comes to styling. And the caddis interior looks more like its ready for war with bmw & Mercedes. The lincolns interior looks like any other ford product. CADILLAC FOR ME. flashy, classy, faster, and more luxurious, and better fuel economy. More upscale looking inside & out. Great review!
Lincoln has had good (but underappreciated) cars and suvs for years, but their newest cars and design language is amazing! If I was looking to buy new, the Nautilus would be the easy choice between these two. I think it's a looker, the interior looks and feels more "rich", and I'm not looking to chase the 'sporty' grail. HOWEVER.... I don't buy new, and previous Lincolns leave me uninspired, and I think the XT5 looks fantastic. The XT5 looks good and is often dumped-on because it's a "warmed-up" GM platform. Lightly used ones can be found that are about the price of an Accord, so for a used value it vaults to the top.
Lincoln really dropped the ball towards the end of the 90s, and only really figured out what they needed to do within the last several years. The only exception was the Lincoln LS, that's one seriously good car in a sea of blah.
Thank you for this review. Looking at a used 2019 Nautilus Reserve vs a 2018 Cadillac XT5 platinum both with about 50k miles. I love ❤️ the look of the Lincoln more. However the 2019 Nautilus has had 4 recalls and the 2018 Cadillac 0. It’s probably going to be the Cadillac it seems to be more reliable in the aftermarket. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely choosing the Nautilus with the 2.7 V6. The Cadillac just seems like a spruced up Chevy Equinox. They really should have used their rwd platform from their cars, so being as it may the Lincoln uses the fwd bias architecture much better then the Cadillac. Nice review as always ✌🏽🇺🇲
Thanks for creating this video. I would have never considered a Lincoln...Now I'm just thinking about the rear adjustable passenger AC option (included in the XT5) and the black rubber trim around the tires (not in favor of on the Nautilus)..again as you stated "personal preferences".
The Nautilus should be getting a full update either for 2021 or 2022 since it was really just a name change and slight facelift. Having just taken the Lincoln Aviator on a road-trip I can say that the future is looking really good for Lincoln.
This is my take. As much as I love the Lincoln’s looks, we have to consider (god forbid you got in a accident) that OnStar would notify authorities. That could be the one day your phones battery is depleted or tossed in the accident or no Service. At least the OnStar antenna is a much stronger signal. This is worth taking into consideration.
Very good point. We did record a quick bit on the OnStar benefit over Lincoln however we ended up cutting it. It was either in this Showdown or the Spotlight we did on the XT5.
I would purchase the XT5 because I prefer its interior and exterior styling. Furthermore, the interior of the XT5 appears more premium (e.g., leather wrapped steering wheel air bag cover, microsuede headliner/sun visors/pillars, a leather seating surface design that is more detailed and interesting, etc.).
It'll likely get a full update in a couple years, with 2020 bringing the all-new Corsair & Aviator, the Nautilus will be the oldest crossover in their lineup.
I’d like to correct you on the Lincoln AWD system. It defaults to FWD and only engages the Rear Differential Unit when it’s needed. It’s not a full time AWD system.
No crossover is full time AWD, they all disengage after a certain speed. What we’re talking about in this episode is drivers don’t have a choice whether it’s enabled or not, whereas the Cadillac XT5’s AWD system allows drivers to run it exclusively in FWD mode regardless of road conditions.
Which is fine, but Lincoln’s system stays in FWD as well until slip is detected. It doesn’t disconnect above a certain speed. Giving the drivers the choice is simply a gimmick.
I don't know which one he chose, because I stop the video, in the middle feeling his apparent love for the Lincoln audio, which lead me to guess which one he's bound to pick.
Jeez, a comparison where the reviewer explains the differences, plusses, and minuses for each vehicle, and magically picks one at the end. What a strange concept. Next time we'll just stick to reading fact sheets and let viewers doze off to sleep.
Lincoln has been impressing me with their vehicles, it's a shame they're killing the Continental but at least they know what they want to do with their vehicles and they're making it happen.
I believe those things are present on the more recent model years as Lincoln has refreshed the Nautilus since this video, whereas the Cadillac hasn't changed.
I prefer the Cadillac XT5 over the Lincoln. The Lincoln is decent but the Cadillac just looks better in my opinion, especially the interior. I think Cadillac struck the right balance of luxury and sport with this. And in 2020 they will actually go a step further with a hot refresh and offer a choice between the two. Luxury crossovers don't have to be boring. Give me Cadillac's racing pedigree, and refined modern edge with my luxury.
I'm glad that both Cadillac and Lincoln are working hard to make vehicles worth checking out. Cadillac has been solid for us here on TestDrive over the past few years, our opinion of the brand has changed quite a lot (for the better) since featuring them.
The Nautilus doesn't as of now, but I expect they'll add it when it undergoes a complete update in a year or two. The Navigator, Continental, and Aviator all use Lincoln's excellent HUD.
@@PRNTestDrive Thanks' Was planning on buying one new with HUD. I have a 05 Buick Park Avenue SE with HUD and now I'm not use to driving anything without it'
I have the 2018 XT5, not the Platinum, but one level below it. It is my 6th Caddy. While the Lincoln, may be a good Car, I couldn't buy one, for the same Reason I couldn't finalize the Purchase of a Mustang in 2005, even though I really wanted one. But it is/was a Ford, and my first car as a teenager, a hundred yrs ago, was a Ford, I have been a GM person ever since(2 Olds, 3 Buicks, 6 Cadillacs, with a brief 3 week ownership of a Toyota in 2008. While the Seats and Ride of the XT5 is better than my STS was(my Kidneys still hurt), both are far from what I think a what/how Cadillac should Ride, which is Novocain Numb, and the DeElegence Interior Trim of the late 70s. Those were nice Loose Pillow Seats, unlike the Harsh seats in todays cars.
Nothing beats the seats from Cadillac back in the day, everything is as you mentioned super firm now. Both have their plusses and minuses, it all comes down to what kind of experience you want from your vehicle.
I prefer the lower searing position of the Caddy, as I am tall. I have a Ford Edge and I don’t really like the higher seat .. I like to sit IN the car , not on top of it. Also the Edge and Nautilus share a very similar dash board and doesn’t look as upscale is the Cadillac..
Caddy did a better job with this one wish I could say the same when it come to the XT6 vs. Aviator, Lincoln blows Caddy out of the water with that one. My votes: Escalade 2020 for large suv Aviator 2020 for mid-size 3 row XT5 2020 for mid-size 2 row XT4 2020 for small lux suv
I was really hoping to try out the Aviator, if it weren't for the shutdown here in Quebec I'd have driven it a couple weeks ago, and I would have picked up the 2020 Navigator today.
Because the XT5 doesn't have it? It's a common misconception with websites that magnetic ride control is on this vehicle, the only two in Cadillac's lineup with it are the Escalade and CT6.
I understand that you felt the ride quality was about equal, but the video tells a different story, in that the XT5 clearly jostled you around much more than the Nautilus. Not only did the XT5 jostle you more, but it also induced more shaking of the camera during the test drives. Also, I played the video through my audio system and I could hear more road "thump" and deep bass sounds with the XT5 than with the Nautilus. Other advantages for the Nautilus include the wider console arm rest which would make it easier for both the driver and passenger to rest their arms there, the more easily accessible cup holders, and the CD player in the Nautilus(yes, some of us still play CDs). I can't believe that Cadillac insists on sticking me with a non-defeatable auto stop/start "feature" on a $70K vehicle. People who pay that much for a car are not going to worry about the minuscule amount of fuel that may be saved by that feature. I much prefer the warm and inviting look of the Nautilus interior to the austere gray and black interior of the XT5. I would like a HUD, but will sacrifice that for the superior audio system of the Nautilus. As to the exterior, I think Cadillac has gone way too far with their angular and disjointed styling, and all their models pretty much look the same now. The Nautilus also has better seating. I've always been a GM man, but they are losing me with the design decisions they are making. I think I would have to choose the Nautilus in this comparison.
The Lincoln is the one I'd go with also, we ended up taking this on a road trip to Toronto a month after publishing this episode and it worked out incredibly well.
I choose the nautilus and I choose the car because. Fords Lincoln Division is really sticking too its roots as a luxury car. One thing I can say is that Lincoln Really Differs there look from Fords Styling their cars aren't rebadged fords anymore. N Lincoln isn't trying to be fast there direction is confort while Cadillac is taking a sportier Direction Which I don't like I really don't like how Cadillac lacks a lot of features and u can obviously tell GM didn't invest into the X5 because it has the exact same interior like a Chevrolet would. N the feel of a Cadillac isn't good at all to sporty. In all imma Lincoln Fan all day. #GoLincoln
A lot of people don't get that about Lincoln, we wanted to ensure we discussed how comfort and relaxation is their top priority, both on the Spotlight episode we did on this Nautilus and a few months ago when we had the 2019 Continental.
That's still a very doable comparison! Volvo doesn't have an XC60 on their Montreal fleet at this time, the last one had the T8 PHEV motor which wouldn't really line up in this case, but we'll see if we can make something happen for the 2020 model year.
The XC60 is a size class down as a compact. It competes with Corsair. The XC90 is a mid-sized 3 row model that competes with Aviator. Volvo does not offer a mid-sized 2 row crossover.
@@PRNTestDrive Sorry, forgot you're in Canada. $27. Not like I'm asking for a $10,000 emissions tester! If you can't invest an extra $27, you should get out of your hobby!
the cadiliac xt5 or xt4 has no cruise control, no anti breaking/collision feature, noisy engine which means noizycabinet, no automatic breaking while using cruise control not for me. the Lincoln hands down! it has everything for as smart features and safety features
No 4 banger with a hairdryer is going to run like a NA V6 with 310 hp. What I’m saying is, the XT5 AWD is a better car than a 4cyl Lincoln. I’ve had an MKZ 2.0 Turbo, and while it was nice, it doesn’t compare with the CTS and XT5 I now own.
That's one of the things holding back the Nautilus as it is right now, the next generation should follow suit with the Navigator, Aviator, and Corsair, and bring a completely unique interior experience over the Ford counterpart.
I like how Lincoln keeps it real when it comes to luxury. No carbon fiber or anything like that to make it look sporty which isn’t what luxury means.
That's what we appreciate about their vehicles also. Everyone wants 'sport' in their luxury cars, but Lincoln is still making something for people who prioritize comfort and relaxation.

I would love any tips you can offer me
@Salvador Ronald Instablaster :)
@Maximo Briggs Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process now.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I love the 'fan blade' esk wheel designs that Lincoln is doing!!
Agreed! We mentioned them during our Spotlight on the Nautilus.
I'm still rolling with the caddy
I suspect a lot of people will agree with you!
The Cadillac should stay about the same since the new XT6 has a very similar layout.
xt5 and xt4 trys to use looks to win points but the lincoln has too many awsome features.
Lots of support for the XT5!
xt5 and xt4 trys to get people to fall for looks not me. lincoln hands down it has too many awsome features/safety features
Nautilus would be my choice. It's all down to preference as both manufacturers make really good vehicles these days!
I really like the Nautilus, just came back from a road-trip with it and still love it!
My preference is for the Cadillac all day.
Great choice!
I drove the XT5 while my cts was in the shop and yes the handling and styling on the. XT5 was amazing.
Both vehicles are seriously good.
@@Dcfashionguru80 I couldn't agree more with you. It just took me a while to understand the gear shifter and not to rest my hand there while driving because it definitely would switch into another gear 😂
@@PRNTestDrive Yes they are both good but the Cadillac is definitely no complaints
B Man I sat in that loaner xt5 for like 10 minutes and was like ok how do I use this gear shifter lol then once I got the hang of it I was good to go.
I would take the Cadillac because it looks more youthful. The Lincoln is gorgeous but I’m 36 I’ll take a Lincoln in another 20 years or so.
I'm 22 and I love the Nautilus so much more! But Cadillac definitly knows how to make a vehicle look youthful! I just have always wanted a Navigator! No clue why! Just loved the big suv! The new Aviator is amazing! Cadillac XT6 looks nice too though!
I'm hoping to get the XT6 soon, it was at the dealership I went to on Tuesday.
Get a walker and cane in 20 years too.
We felt exactly as you did in your test and that made us buy the Lincoln even though we were Buick customers for a long time.
Mike & Robin Fifer
Congrats on the purchase! I'm really excited with what Lincoln is doing, they've listened to their customers and are working to make some fantastic vehicles.
So attractive design for both cars. Awesome
We think so too, mixing things up from what the German luxury brands do.
Exactly
Just leased the Lincoln today and it's a beauty. Turned in an MBZ GLE350 and the Lincoln had way more bells and whistle for a much better price and is an equally good looking car. Engine performance and handling is obviously better on the MBZ, but the Lincoln is a keeper (and it's cheaper and just as pretty) Got it in iced mocha with the light interior and it's just a beauty. I'm naming her "naughty" for Nautilus....
Congrats on the purchase! I really enjoyed my time with the Nautilus, it's the one I'd take.
@@PRNTestDrive Funny thing though, it literally has every option one could want and need but did not come with a retractable rear cargo cover. Isn't that silly! so now I have to order one....and no split visor. Things that would cost and extra $12 on the assembly line....
I miss the town car 😢😢😢
I've had my eye on a Town Car for a while now. I'd love to own one like the 88 we were able to sneak into this episode.
The Conti is the Torn Cars spiritual successor.
Lincoln for me. But, I’d outfit it differently.
What does your ideal Nautilus look like? I've got this one again this week and still love it, the 2.7TT might be the engine to get if you plan on keeping it, and the Black Label in the US would be sweet.
Lincoln would be my choice! Although,I would like for them to update the interior to match the Navigator,Aviator,Corsair.
A full update is coming and possibly on the new modular rwd chassis that will be on the aviator.
I love my xt5
Glad to hear it! It’s been an incredibly successful vehicle for GM.
Cadillacs over Lincolns. They are technologically years ahead of Lincoln. Forget about design for a second
Tech like the Super Cruise Control is definitely next-level tech, I just wish Cadillac was able to perfect it and roll it out across their fleet quicker.
More tech = more shit to break.
@@christianlynch5507 😂😂😂
The Cadillac interior looks way more modern and up to date compared to the lincoln ,and if have to chose between them both probably that will be the turning point ! both are great vehicles!
The Nautilus definitely needs an updated interior.
@Mike Mc I agree with you Mike I always but my vehicles from the inside out. You have to live with that interior of you don't like it well..
Hope you ended up making a decision that worked out for you!
pretty amazing mpg for a mid-size SUV. you really get it all with the Lincoln
Thanks! We have driven the latest MDX from Acura, it's a decent competitor to these also.
Yeah my mkt died at 136k
The new nautilus is nicer than the cadillac
@@issavibez394 2 yrs too late 🥺
@@donb782 don't matter lol
@@donb782 the new 2022 is better
I personally would have the xt5. The main reason is because the xt5 has a better interior design. The Lincoln’s interior is sooo outdated and it’s quite bad when the smaller Lincoln Corsair has a nicer interior. I like the xt5 for what it is. It’s not my favorite in the segment but I would choose it over the nautilus any day. Now if Lincoln would’ve put the new Interiors in the nautilus, then it would be a completely different story.
We're looking forward to try out the Corsair, I think Lincoln is moving in the right direction to finally take on Cadillac properly.
The new nautilus is better
The Caddy looks like a nicely blinged up.....Chevy.
Kudos Lincoln!
You are back, better than ever.
Keep it up.
We're looking forward to see what they have in store next!
Great review
Glad you think so, thanks!
I love that brown colour on the Nautilus, it looks fantastic.
Me too! That's the colour I'd go with.
The rear video rearview camera is almost enough to push me to the Lincoln, it's a serious feature especially on GM's pickup trucks that we featured.
Great review, the Lincoln look much better.
Thanks! It's definitely a sharp looking vehicle. The updated version is quite nice also.
I'll take the Lincoln
So would I!
Lincoln all the way !!!
It's the one I'd take!
Getting ready to test drive a 2017 lincoln mkx reserve with 23k miles on it! After reading the reviews here sounds like i will like it
Hope you enjoy it!
Glad this video helped, enjoy which ever one you decide on!
I'm voting for the Nautilus!
Can't go wrong with the Lincoln!
You’d be surprised how quick the new Lincoln’s are!!
We missed out on a couple of them during the lockdown, but we've rebooked the 2020 Aviator and Corsair for June/July. I'm looking forward to them!
I took the Nautilus and im satisfied
Glad to hear it, great choice! Enjoy it! Really can't go wrong with either one of these.
Hope you enjoy yours!
@@PRNTestDrive Thank you sir and as always great job with your reviews 🍻
Thanks for creating this video. I would have never considered a Lincoln...Now I'm just thinking about the rear adjustable passenger AC option (included in the XT5) and the black rubber trim around the tires (not in favor of on the Nautilus)..again as you stated "personal preferences".
The Nautilus should be getting a full update either for 2021 or 2022 since it was really just a name change and slight facelift. Having just taken the Lincoln Aviator on a road-trip I can say that the future is looking really good for Lincoln.
Lincoln Nautilus in Flight Blue.
Flight Blue is the way to go!
Lincolns have sync with 911 assist. I had a 2014 MKZ and it would call out in the event of a crash..... not sure it's an advantage.
Great video I’m picking up my XT5 on Friday! 👍🏾
Congrats!
You look like you fit in
The Cadillac better. Especially since you said you can adjust both up and down from your current position
I don’t know why Lincoln forces their seats to ride so high up, it’s something I’ve noticed in the new Aviator and Corsair.
Lots of support for that Cadillac interior! Hopefully some designers at FoMoCo are checking out the comments and take the feedback to heart.
Plus the XT5 styling stands out, nothing looks like it.
The Lincolns front center stack looks like a ford fusion 🤢 they could have made it more like the new navigator
It'll likely get a full update in a couple years, with 2020 bringing the all-new Corsair & Aviator, the Nautilus will be the oldest crossover in their lineup.
Great review and two very nice vehicles.
Glad you liked it, thanks!
We have the Nautilus again this week, I'll keep the power distribution screen open and check it out in more depth.
I chose the Lincoln
It's the one I'd go with also!
Which car has the better sound system?
Lincoln when you go with the upgraded Revel audio system.
@@PRNTestDrive I have a sixth sense of bias behavior before it's displayed, sorry.
I chose the 2018 Lincoln and will be choosing Lincoln again is 2021
Lincoln has been impressing me with their vehicles, it's a shame they're killing the Continental but at least they know what they want to do with their vehicles and they're making it happen.
Does the Nautilus have driver seat thigh extender? I'm also surprised that the Nautilus doesn't have heads up display
I believe those things are present on the more recent model years as Lincoln has refreshed the Nautilus since this video, whereas the Cadillac hasn't changed.
Are these two in the same category as the Lexus RX 350?
The regular Lexus RX for sure, not the Long wheelbase version since neither of these have a third row option.
Not a fan of either, but if I had to take one I'd go with the LIncoln.
Which mid-size would be your pick if you could take any in the segment?
@@PRNTestDrive BMW X3 probably. Really though I'd prefer a wagon over one of these.
👍Fair video' do the Lincoln have Heads up display on any of this class brand?
The Nautilus doesn't as of now, but I expect they'll add it when it undergoes a complete update in a year or two. The Navigator, Continental, and Aviator all use Lincoln's excellent HUD.
@@PRNTestDrive Thanks' Was planning on buying one new with HUD. I have a 05 Buick Park Avenue SE with HUD and now I'm not use to driving anything without it'

PRN_TestDrive Hi,
Would you know the exact color of the Nautilus that’s in this video? Tia!
The Nautilus was Ochre Brown, looks great!
I agree! Thank you very much!
Great comparison
We're glad you think so, thanks!
Lincoln hands down
Fair enough
Lincoln over Cadillac
Lots of support going towards the Lincoln on this one!
That's how I feel too, as a taller person I find the high seat height annoying. I'm sure for a lot of people it's fine.
Are the seating positions not adjustable?
@ they are, but the lowest position is still not low enough for some.
@ they are, but don’t adjust lower enough for some.
Cadillac.
Great choice!
Caddy did a better job with this one wish I could say the same when it come to the XT6 vs. Aviator, Lincoln blows Caddy out of the water with that one.
My votes:
Escalade 2020 for large suv
Aviator 2020 for mid-size 3 row
XT5 2020 for mid-size 2 row
XT4 2020 for small lux suv
I was really hoping to try out the Aviator, if it weren't for the shutdown here in Quebec I'd have driven it a couple weeks ago, and I would have picked up the 2020 Navigator today.
How did you miss talking about the magnetic dampening suspension?
Because the XT5 doesn't have it? It's a common misconception with websites that magnetic ride control is on this vehicle, the only two in Cadillac's lineup with it are the Escalade and CT6.
The Cadillac is more youthful and fancy looking. The Lincoln looks like a senior citizen’s car
I'd agree with that!
I think it should've been a showdown between the Lincoln Nautilus vs the Volvo XC60
That's still a very doable comparison! Volvo doesn't have an XC60 on their Montreal fleet at this time, the last one had the T8 PHEV motor which wouldn't really line up in this case, but we'll see if we can make something happen for the 2020 model year.
@@PRNTestDrive Would you think it would be better matched against the XC90 or the XC60?
The XC60 is a size class down as a compact. It competes with Corsair. The XC90 is a mid-sized 3 row model that competes with Aviator. Volvo does not offer a mid-sized 2 row crossover.
$70k????? Come on prices are too high
They’re pretty in-line with the luxury segment, less than a BMW X5 or Mercedes GLE by quite a bit.
it would be nice to know the actual decibel level of the interiors. For $25, you cold buy a meter and give us the results.
Oh wow more expenses for a show that costs me a tonne already, thanks.
@@PRNTestDrive Sorry, forgot you're in Canada. $27. Not like I'm asking for a $10,000 emissions tester! If you can't invest an extra $27, you should get out of your hobby!

We've been very impressed with Lincoln's products so far, they just need to work on their fit & finish.
👍your garage
Thank you! A huge reason we bought this house was for the garage.
Fair enough!
@@PRNTestDrive Btw, I think the Lincoln 2.0 Turbo is far superior to the GM 4. The MKZ I had was a much better driving car than the ATS 4 I drove
Wow.like comparing 2 good men!!
Definitely a unique way of putting it!
The Nautilus is available with a 2.7L twin-turbo V6 that produces 335 HP & 380 lb-ft of torque so it’s not like the Nautilus doesn’t offer a V6
I didn't say that it didn't, these were the two vehicles we had access to though.
The Cadillac interior looks more expensive the Nautilus looks like a Ford Edge inside - like Caddy exterior too
That's one of the things holding back the Nautilus as it is right now, the next generation should follow suit with the Navigator, Aviator, and Corsair, and bring a completely unique interior experience over the Ford counterpart.
The XT5 for the EXTERIOR, The Nautilus for the INTERIOR
Fair enough!
Not a fan of either, but I would probably choose the Cadillac.
Luckily you aren't stuck buying either one, there are other choices in the luxury segment.
Lincoln! I don’t care for the Cadillac design philosophy.
Cadillac's hasn't changed much, we talked about it with the 2018 CT6. At least Lincoln is trying something new and it seems to be working!
