    M67 rounds have the similar behaviour like regular 5.45x39 ammo, they're very prone to tumbling in flesh. The tumble effect is not evident as early as in the case of 5.45x39, as M67 starts to tumble a bit later, but the overall effect on the ballistic gel is almost the same.

    • @SidneyBroadshead
      @SidneyBroadshead Год назад

      M67 is lead core 7.62x39mm ammo.
      Yugoslavia didn't get access to the technical packages to make 5.45x39mm ammo and weapons.

    I have heard stories on how hundereds of thousands bullets were being dumped in the truck loads in the river after end of the war. Also recently i was told that a guy jumped in the, se stuck his hands 50cm in the mud and started to retrive bullets. Apperantly, some of the bullets were still dry inside when projectile was removed from brass.

      Greetings from Serbia Not true that the army throw any of the ammunition or weapons in the river.Many civilians are given weapons to defend themselves while withdrawing ,when they arrived in Serbia, they did not know what to do with that weapon.Some are still keeping these weapons today.
      Although by Srbskim law they can not have it so they threw some into the river.

    This is such a well-thought out system for military ammunition storage, transport, and distribution. They can be stored for decades airtight. They can be transported in easily stackable crates. Soldiers can receive their cans and open the cans quickly. The rounds are even already in neat stripper clips.
    The US Army system has a bit more bells and whistles: bandoliers and such, but this is just massive industrial scale stuffs. Lucky that they were stockpiled for an Armageddon that never comes and Americans get to buy these ammunitions as surplus. Let's keept it that way.

    On the bullet it says ППУ - Први партизан Ужице (PPU - Prvi partizan Užice). That's in Serbia. Prvi partizan (First partisan when translated into English) is today one of most renowned ammo producers in the world, selling their products on all world's continents, and many armies also buy from them. Today their entire production is sold years ahead.

      But, on your case, stands ИК - IK - Igman, Konjic... Konjic (translated on english - a little horse :-) ) is a town in Bosnia and Igman is a nearby mountain by which ammo factory got its name...
      IK ammo has different type of gunpowder than PPU and its a bit stronger and louder than PPU.
      Both PPU and IK ammo is better than steel case ammo from China. It`s more reliable and has better trajectory...

    I purchased 3 crates of this a while back for $179 each. It was funny because UPS delivered it to a little old lady and just left it stacked on her front porch, and THEN tried to say I signed for it. She drove over to my house to tell me it was blocking her sidewalk. It got worse as her son is a police officer. He shows up as I was there to get it off her porch. He wants to know why I have Russian crates of ammunition being delivered to his mothers house. Yeah, it was a real fun day.
    These are nice because the nitrate primers last a long time, and the case is sealed. Corrosive, but you just need to clean your rifle after your range trip and not just put it away for a week.

    • @grantgarrod2232
      @grantgarrod2232 2 года назад

      I think my answer to the cop would have been, "I didn't have it delivered here. See my address on the label? That's how your mother knew where to contact me, & why I'm here to get it. It's UPS that clearly can't read the numbers on a house, you might want to speak to them about this.". The cops I know would be totally chill about a little mishap like that. It sounds to me like someone was a bit overly full of himself that day.

And the one I dragged when I was in the army wasn't on stripper clips, a bit lighter... Loaded dozens of AK magazines that day for the officers to shoot... Pain in the ass... Still, not a single misfire in every shooting we had during my service in the Serbian army, so don't worry if you get it - good stuff. Works every time.

    IK 8011-20 Igman Konjic 1980, 11th month, 20th batch, regular bullet M67.

    1260 pieces crate (15 pieces in box), newer variant for automatic Zastava M70

    This stuff is SO corrosive that it will cause rusting of the sights even with proper barrel cleaning! I would only use this on bolt action rifles and nothing else. I would pour boiling water down the breech prior to cleaning to get rid of these corrosive salts. My Combloc guns mean enough to me that I use only noncorrosive primers, except for any bolt action gun-John in Texas

    So, they rounds come in stripper clips, unlike chinese surplus ammo. That's kinda neat. You can use those to load an SKS or a VZ-58, or to load AK mags with the help of a stripper clip guide tool. If those rounds have corrosive primers, they are likely the berdan type. Since they have brass cases, it could be reloaded, but it could be kinda of a hassle. The opening method, compared to other ammo span cans, is kinda on the brutish side, but it takes less time than other cans.

    • @hutchins36
      @hutchins36  6 лет назад

      I guess there hotter than most Russian commercial ammo as well.

    • @Xerxes1688
      @Xerxes1688 6 лет назад +2

      Bear in mind, sir, that yugoslavian/serbian AK rifles are more reinforced than regular AKM rifles, they essentially have the same receivers as the RPK. Regular AK receivers are strong enough, but RPK receiver are even more so. Makes sense they load their rounds a bit hotter. Obviously, they would perform better with a rifle with a long barrel, like an SKS or an RPK. And cleverly so, each box has 4 stripper clips, for a total of 40 rounds per box, and that's the capacity of an RPK mag.

    • @grantgarrod2232
      @grantgarrod2232 2 года назад

      Xerxes, actually brass casings with corrosive primers are not reloadable, because corrosive by-products are driven into the brass, which makes it harder & very brittle. If reloaded, the cases are almost sure to rupture upon firing, & the only way to remove the compounds is to melt down the brass. A friend of mine shoots lots of this ammo through his SKS, & he gives the cases to a local machinist, who happily melts them down into ingots, which he machines into all sorts of useful items.

      Phil, the Czechs have long had a reputation for building their military small arms ammo rather on the warm side. Their CZ-52 pistol was roller-locked & extra strong, & the 7.62 Tokarev ammo made for it & Czech submachine guns was loaded waaaay hot. When some of it hit the market in the latter 80's, buyers that shot the ammo in Mauser C-96 Broomhandle pistols were getting blown extractors & damaged bolts, before retailers could warn shooters about it. This was an extreme case, but folks who own chronographs can confirm most Czech ammo is noticeably speedier than average. A steady diet of such probably isn't the best for your favorite bangstick.

    Anyone in NY State who thinks they can't order ammo is mistaken. We can order ammo as long as you have it shipped to a FFL, which I do all of the time. Just find a FFL that won't try to charge you a fee for doing so, which they shouldn't since there is no transfer being done. It is really no different from shipping to your house or going to the store to buy ammo. My gun store does not charge a fee they just call me when my package arrives and I go pick it up and they don't even have to know what got ordered. Learn the laws to the fullest for your own good so you don't give the government more disillusioned control over your freedom.
