Tuning the Ferrari 488 Completely Changes the Car

- The Ferrari 488 is a very quick car, but it's a little tame from the factory. So we previously installed a Kline Inconel exhaust on this Ferrari 488 and to take advantage of the exhaust, we sent out the ECUs to get a tune. The tune completely changes the car to be an animal! The acceleration is much harder and the turbos spin up faster. The boost builds much quicker and with more oomph. I can't recommend this enough. It picks up over 100HP and 100ft-lbs of torque!

One of the best NGS videos in a long time! Awesome job... Gorgeous car, was never a big 488 fan but you've convinced me. -(Minus the blacked out tail lights on that one. NAF of that.)

Wow.....sharp car. I'm normally not a all blacked out car but....the 488 is outstanding. It stands out and is both subtle but aggressive. Very cool.

Dan as a former 488 owner, and someone who's seen the result of tuning 488's, I'd really urge you to put it back to stock. I know this comment might not great for you selling the car, but those turbos DO NOT like added boost. They last a long time in stock, but several owners have seen them go bang after a tune that adds boost. I'm really not trying to be a stick in the mud, but I kind of feel obligated to tell it as it is. The last guy I saw how did the 488 tune, had his turbos on the road for about 60 miles, and then boom. They don't like it.
I've seen plenty with tunes last a long time.

Car looks and sounds great! I USED to have a 488, but I just got an F8 about a month ago. Sounds good on the inside, but it's enhanced through 'pipes' into the cabin. On the outside I think the particulate filters do a number on the sound. I dunno, I may get an exhaust, but it's iconel from the factory.

I have a soft spot for black on black cars. My first one was a 1991 NSX. This 488 just made me weak in the knees. It's gorgeous!!!
When clean it's one of the best colors. I just hate maintaining it

Love the spec! Be super careful with tuning the 488's though.... those stock IHI turbo's are garbage and do not like to be over boosted for long periods of time.
I don't think they added much boost but they aren't limiting the boost as much in the lower gears

Buy a 488, do these mods and it is better than a stock F8 for much less money. Usually not a fan of black ( Rossa Corsa Forever! LOL ) but this is amazing.

We use a 3rd party running company whose products we sell.
They tune the passenger side bro. Mase did mine and provided instructions.

Well to really take advantage of the tune aftermarket is better but you can get a tune on the stock exhaust

Not to be the "Well actually..." neck beard, even thought that's exactly what I'm doing, but I can speak from recent experience the 360 ECUs are definitely not in the passenger compartment.

Carbon mirrors, carbon intake blade, carbon diffuser, carbon splitter, carbon side skirts… there’s quite a bit to do. To be honest, your only adding weight if your just sticking carbon fiber over plastic panels.
Those new parts will be *replacing* the existing plastic trim parts so no, weight won't increase.
Most of the parts are replacements not just overlays

all cars need to be tune, a friend from Monaco modified even his LaFerrari and F40, stock cars are not on the limit, his daily car nowadays is an F8 stage 2, with almost 1000whp, it has already driven more than 30000km in less than a year and a half and has not had the slightest problem, last Thursday he posted a story on instagram showing the result of more a tuning in one of his Ferraris, if done right the tuning makes all the difference!

I have driven the 488 spider and thought it was really fast already… I know hp is limited in 1 to 3rd gear to save clients from killing themselves … I could only imagine how fast it is after the tune ! Great video!
